I purchased this hard drive on the 26th of November, it is now the 6th of December and my drive has already failed.
I know how it is to see someone leave a negative review on a product with a high overall rating and think the person is just picky, having a bad day, etc...this is the first review I've given with a rating of less than 3 out of 5 stars. Not only that, but this drive has been out for approximately 6 months, how long do you think most of the people reviewing this product have had their drive? I had mine 10 days...it now makes a faint beeping noise and is no longer recognized by any of the computers I've tested it on. The computer will begin searching for a driver and sometimes will notify you that the driver was successfully installed; nevertheless, the drive doesn't show up.
You can take this review into consideration or simply dismiss it, it makes no difference to me. However, when your data's gone and you're paying to ship your drive to Seagates warehouse for a refurbished replacement, you can't say you weren't warned.
