The printer features automatic duplex printing, making it easy to reduce your paper consumption by up to 50%. The unit can handle paper sizes up to 8.5x14" (legal size) and features a large 250-sheet input tray so you can print longer without having to reload. Additionally, the multipurpose tray can handle heavier media such as card stock and labels and provides the option to keep a 2nd, commonly used media type in the printer for easy swapping.

In addition to a USB connection, the MFC-8910DW features both wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity. Easily share the unit with everyone on your network while still protecting your proprietary data thanks to the unit's built-in security features. Additionally, the MFC-8910DW is compatible with Brother's iPrint&Scan mobile app, available for the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android, and Windows Phone 7 devices. The app lets you print to and scan from your printer right from your mobile device, regardless of where you are. The unit's legal-size glass provides the flexibility of scanning and copying legal documents without having to use the ADF. The unit's auto duplex ADF makes it easy to scan large 2-sided documents in 1 step. Easily create a paperless office by digitizing your files. Use the included OCR software to convert your scanned documents into searchable/editable text. The scanner's 1200 dpi (optical) provides high quality color and grayscale scans. In addition to scanning to the computer, the MFC-8910DW's network connectivity allows for scanning to a mobile device via Brother's iPrint&Scan app (Apple/Android/Windows Phone), an email address, an FTP server, USB device, network folder or email server.

The embedded fax modem provides sending and receiving capabilities both from the unit itself and via a PC. Easily send multi-page and 2-sided documents in 1 step with the ADF. Additionally, the machine provides a wide range of fax options including auto redial, fax forwarding and broadcasting. Even if the machine is out of paper, the dedicated memory stores up to 500 pages so you don't miss any important faxes.

The MFC-8910DW lets you copy legal sized documents right from the scan glass. The duplex ADF provides the ability to copy 2-sided multipage documents in 1 easy step. In addition to basic copying, use the menus for options such as 2-in-1 and 4-in-1 copying, reduction and enlargement and ID Copy which provides a simple way to copy 2 sides of an ID card onto 1 page.

Comments about Brother MFC-8910DW Wireless Monochrome All-in-One Laser Printer:

I purchased this printer to replace on old Brothers that I had. It was very easy to set up. Prints very fast. I was able to network to all of my computers without issue. I really like the ease in which it comes out of hibernation mode. It is larger than expected. It sounds about the same as most printers. My last printer, I would have to restart all the computers! I am disappointed with the paper drawer size. The printer was not cheap and thus a larger paper tray was expected. I understand that I can purchase an additional larger paper tray for around $. I believe a larger paper tray should have been included. I haven't had to change the cartridge or drum yet, fingers crossed. If you can find on sale, I would highly recommend.

I work from home so this is a replacement for my color copier. All of my reports are done in black and white so I opted out of the expense of color. I had no problem setting this up on my 2 computers a Mac and PC. The envelope printing: will only do up to 3 at a time. Would like it to do more! I just love the duplex printing.

Great All-In-One solution for any small office or home office. Provides WiFi connectivity, duplex printing, legal format scanning, and supports Google Cloud Print. The configuration is somewhat evolved to make all the features work, though. You must set the correct date/time to ensure everything works fine, and then set up SMTP, NTP, e-mail, etc. Nevertheless, a powerful beast!

Comments about Brother MFC-8910DW Wireless Monochrome All-in-One Laser Printer:

This was a replacement for a previous brother MFC 8660 which laster about 4 years and was getting some problems after good use. This printer is pretty similar. Not much development is going on these printers other than now you can print from an iPhone or similar. On the other hand the scan bed is a little narrower and the automatic feeder does not seem nearly as sturdy. Not sure it will last 4 years. It looks like they may have tried to get some cost out of the printer and making it a little less sturdy. Set up with a mac and apple network was fine. Just select the WiFi network from the printer and put in the password. The documentation is extensive, but having so much documentation means you have to look for things which takes time. This is a great printer and copier which can do also legal size paper. The scanner is fine for occasional use but as with all multi purpose scanners you are better of with a dedicated scanner if you use this function a lot as it is not very fast.

Comments about Brother MFC-8910DW Wireless Monochrome All-in-One Laser Printer:

I switched to Brother All in one products four years ago. They are a day and night improvement from the HP brand I used for almost 20 years.
I have sent as much as 56 page faxes and never a mis feed document. TAD answer mode is perfect for a shared Phone / Fax line.
                        Scanner is High quality.
I can't say enough good things about Brother products.

Comments about Brother MFC-8910DW Wireless Monochrome All-in-One Laser Printer:

This machine is built like a linebacker, but it performs like an entire Super Bowl team. Talk about talent -- there's nothing in the office it can't do: Print, fax, scan, and copy, of course. All are beautifully performed, and fast, up to 42 ppm. But wait, there's more! It handles paper up to legal size, does single-pass duplex scanning and copying, can enlarge or reduce, has WiFi, ethernet, AirPrint, and Google CloudPrint capabilities. I've found the paper handling and all the controls to be intuitive and efficient. I'd say it's a little noisier than my old laser printer, but not objectionable. As for the linebacker part, it does have the bulk of two and a half of my old laser printers stacked on top of each other, but the footprint on the desk is the same, so it actually works very well for small-office and even personal use. As long as you don't want color capability, it's the only machine you'll need.

We have gradually been shifting from HP all-in-ones the last three-four years and this replaces the MFC-8680DN in my office. Not only is it smaller, but the first page out is much faster. All the functions are faster and it controls the just printed paper better.
