The Swann PRO-530 Multi-Purpose Day/Night Security Camera (IR Cut Filter), with a 1/3" SwannTruColor (STC) video sensor and a 4.8mm lens with a 58° viewing angle, delivers clear and crisp footage at 600 TVL with a wide viewing angle.

Defined by its Day & Night ICR (infrared cut filter removal) function and equipped with 24 IR LEDs (effective up to 65' / 20 m), the camera switches between color and B&W as per changes in ambient lighting ensuring accurate color reproduction in daylight and enhanced B&W images at night. Furthermore, the camera features settings such as Wide Dynamic Range, White Balance, and Backlight Compensation that compensates for commonly faced issues such as high-contrast light, back light, glare, and light-reflective environments by adjusting the light and restoring detail to deliver identifiable images.

The Day/Night Camera can be connected to a DVR for recording and storing or to a TV’s yellow video-in socket for remotely monitoring footage. Thanks to the included bracket the camera easily mounts onto walls and ceilings. Additionally, a cable management system has been integrated into the bracket, keeping the connection cables safe and protected for additional security.

Theft deterrent stickers warn intruders and thieves of your property being protected by the PRO-530 Camera. Also included is a 60' (18m) BNC cable (for connecting to a DVR), BNC to RCA connector (for connecting to a TV), and power adaptor and splitter.

Comments about Swann PRO-530 Multi-Purpose Day/Night Security Camera (IR Cut Filter):

The camera is nice and small. It's rugged aluminium body and design. It can be mounted in any direction. There is one screw from the post to the body mount that controls your angle of view. And the other screw on mid post (at hinged area) that controls the camera point of view area. The wires can be concealed through the wall or there is a small cut out on the mount that the wire could come out from. The wire comes out from the end of the mount itself. Setup and install was easy to average. The 60 foot bnc & power cable is short. A 100 foot cable is a must for an average to big house or a two floor home. The cable from that the camera connects to the 60 ft cable is not weather protected, some electric tape and then a duct tape or all weather electric tape wrap around is suggested at the connectors. The standard cables seem not to be all weather resistant and some caution using it in direct sunlight or in heavy weather. The performance in day light is great. The lens angle is at mid range but not wide enough for some areas. With the IR Cut Filter the picture s clear and have good colors. The contrast at some shadow to bright areas are high. The dynamic range is good but in bright to shadow areas it lags in transfer and the dark areas are too dark in some instances. At low light the performance is good. The low lux is in the range of 0.1 and at full infrared mode out of the area of the LED's its a lux of 0.001. The infrared LED's are concentrated in a spot view. At its reach is at 50 to 60 feet. The LED coverage is center of screen. It needs a wide angle spread of IR light. The night shot infrared is very good. You can see allot in the background in low light. A half moon stage in a clear night would be at the minimum of light it is viewable. The noise is a big problem. At low light infrared the noise is high. The picture is grainy if not very grainy. Resolution drops dramatically at low light infrared mode. It is very hard to make things out in the background. But other than that it's a good camera. The camera video sensor is a Swann Tru Color CMOS. The life of sensor is unknown. The LED's are rated an average life of 10, 000. That should be good for two and half years of night time non stop darkness use. LED's are usually rated at 40,000 or more hours. Well its a good camera at a mid price. It does need improvements to make it a great camera but you usually get what you pay for. In the box you are provided with everything you need for a one camera set up, minus the DVR. A score of 6.75 out of 10 overall.

Comments about Swann PRO-530 Multi-Purpose Day/Night Security Camera (IR Cut Filter):

I think these cameras are a really good buy. Day time viewing is pretty good but night time vision only seems to go about 20 ft without additional light. I'm happy with the purchase, however.
