The black PortaBrace AR-DR680B Audio Recorder Case is custom-designed to fit the Tascam DR-680 recorder. Made of durable 1000-denier Cordura with a padded foam interior and an HB-10 suede shoulder strap, the AR-7B protects your recorder while providing access to all important switches, knobs, cables, and batteries.
The case features a modular design, which gives you the flexibility to carry different combinations of equipment, depending on the job. It can be ganged with an optional PortaBrace mixer case (MXC models) and the optional RM-Multi wireless microphone case.

I' primarily use the AR-DR680B case for field work. The case is constructed very well and most of the buttons and connections are very accessible...some, however are not as accessible as I'd like. For example, the play, stop, fast forward, fast rewind, previous and next buttons (located on the top of the Tascam unit) are not easily seen or accessed. Other than that issue, this case is excellent.
I also purchased the wireless mic side bag to add onto this case. Though the side bag makes the combo bulky and renders one of the AR-DR608B side bags useless, it's a convenient package to hold my 4 G3 wireless receivers, which are connected to the Tascam unit.

I gave this item 4 starts just because sometimes it becomes a little pain in the neck to deal with the different layers of protection that the bag has. The material is good and strong, but at the same time, is kind uncomfortable to use. Anyway, it is design to protect your equipment. not to satisfy the user
