There aren't many products like this: a padded bag with a draw string top for quick access that you can stuff in to a backpack. One thing you will not see in the pictures is the padding around the narrow sides and the bottome is thicker than the wide sides. I do wish it was same thickness all around, but I know that will sacrifice collapsibility. I have Canon 5D MKII with 24-70mm L lens. It fit perfectly, and there was room for another lens or a flash. The medium size was too low in height with that setup, the drawstring could not fully close.

I have been looking for pouch to put my camera and lenses into my backpack. I want to protect my camera. While this pouch fits snuggly into my backpack, but because the lenses are of different sizes, the camera itself does not fit snuggly in the pouch.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Olive/Black):

My wife bought this to hold my APS-C camera (with flexiblity to upgrade to full-frame hopefully) in an Arc'teryx Sebring 18, to minimize the weight and help balance the load I was carrying as we travel around the world. I was previously using a Targus Camera sling bag that had some extra storage for a few things (including a 7" tablet), much more padding (albeit at the price of weight), but had an annoying tendency to cause piling on the part of the shirt I was wearing under it, regardless of fabric type. My new combo provides significant weight savings (and hopefully less shoulder pain with the second shoulder strap), a more 'stealth' look, and more carrying capacity/flexibility while maintaining a side-loading capability in a similar overall size and shape (photo of the two side by side included).
About the product itself: very nice, contained way to carry around the SLR. The drawstring and external mesh storage features are nice and the green flexible top area is also padded. However, at the cost of compactness and weight, the padding is much thinner than what I am used to, and particularly, the dividers have the texture of cardboard - perhaps good enough to protect lenses from bumping up against each other bad, but makes me nervous from what I am used to. I have seen similar, though smaller, products from Korea and Japan that use a 'spongier' thicker padding that are also very light.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Red/Black):

Picked up a Haven bag in size Large to use primarily inside a messenger bag or backpack when traveling or on the bike. Well constructed just like all things Crumpler. Includes 2 dividers with foldover flaps and 1 plain divider making it easy to customize for your needs. I am carrying a full size DSLR with an attached zoom, a 50-200 zoom, charger and power cord inside the bag. There is still enough room for a prime in there too. Not sure what other reviewers are hung up on as far as the size being too small, but obviously this bag is not meant to be a "kitchen sink" solution. Materials are solid and water resistant but the top drawcord closure does not seal the bag all the way closed against the elements. When loaded it fits perfectly inside both of my well known pro-made messenger bags as well as a small (1200 cu in) daypack. Highly recommend if this fits your needs.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Olive/Black):

I love the Crumpler quality. I use it in my backpack so I do not need to carry a separate camera bag. The large size holds DSLR with 17-85 lens, flash, and extra batteries. I mainly use it for taking photos of kids at summer camp action shot type settings, so I am moving around a lot, carry water, hat, extras in the daypack along with the Crumpler.

So far this is pretty good for my needs in carrying a Nikon D700 and a lens or two. I travel a lot and with airline regulations, this allows me to carry gear in pretty much any bag.
Downside is that I need a large bag and it takes up most of the room in my bag.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Olive/Black):

                This bag holds:
2 Lenses on the bottom layer and my canon 5D with a lens attached on the top. Along with my flash transmitter.

                My setup includes:
                Canon 5D Mark III
Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM
Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM
Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM
                Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT

This is a rather roomy setup, so it's easy to move things in and out. If I pached things tighter, I might be able to fit in some small gear items as well.

This Large Haven fits perfectly in the bottom of my Arcteryx Cierzo 18 Pack, so is great for travel.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Red/Black):

I do a lot of hiking. And with a medium format camera, the backpack is a tricky question. No camera bag is any real good for real hiking (to contain both hiking gear and camera). So I bought a hiking backpack (a deuter futura 28) and I was looking for an insert that would protect my kit and fit in my bag.
After trying in the shop, this was a perfect match: it contains my Hasselblad kit (camera+extra lens+extra back) and fits nicely in the second pouch. Even the colors match.

I was going to make one of my own design when I found this online. Saved me the hassle. Fabulous little pouch for storing the necessities. Room for my T3i with attached 13-135, flash unit, and either another lens or extra gizmos like softbox and hood and such. Adjustable interior dividers. The exterior pockets hold extra cards and batteries. Plenty of cushion so I don't worry about the gear being protected. Great for grab and go...just drop the packed pouch into whatever bag you need for the situation and you're off. I've used it in my small backpack and in my shoulder tote. Gave it one less star only because I would love to see just one more size up; I would've order a larger one if available.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Gray/Green):

This camera pouch serves as an organizer & protector from other gear that I put in my backpack. I find it more versatile than having a dedicated camera bag because I can just move it to a new activity bag and know my camera is still protected. It would have been nice if there was a clip for a strap to attach because I would feel fine using it as a bag on its own in a pinch or when I'm not going very far.

This bag has effectively turned my run-of the mill, unnoticeable backpack into a safe place to put my DSLR, extra lens, and flash.

For me the dedicated camera bag is never a good idea, as I always then have 2 bags to carry instead of just one.

The compartments have velcro-attached dividers that you can move around as required, very handy. The cinch top closes well - the outside pockets are of limited value imho.

                      Overall Highly recommended.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Gray/Green):

Fits my Rebel t3i with 50mm lens plus hood and 70-300mm telephoto, with room for a flash. the top doesn't close completely so it's only water resistant if water comes at it from the sides or bottom, which should be fine if you have it inside a backpack like I did. Front pockets (which are uncovered) are good for battery pack, a cord extra memory. good overall, easy enough to access, and great if you have a bag you want to use and just want to slip this puppy in.

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Gray/Green):

I love that I can put this into a large purse, a messenger bag, or a backpack. It's got plenty of cushions, and is well made. Fits my Nikon D7000 with 50mm lens, a 90mm lens, and there's room for a flash (when I finally buy it).

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Gray/Green):

I put the pouch inside a regular school backpack to protect my camera unobtrusively when I in urban environments. It seems well made and works as advertised but I would want an even larger size. When I walk around with my D3s and 28/300 zoom mounted, it all fits, but too snug to easily remove and replace my gear. I can do it, but if a larger size comes out, I will trade up.

                        Very Roomy, Drawstring is Iffy

Comments about Haven Camera Pouch (Large, Gray/Green):

It fits tightly in my Timbuk2 messenger bag in the wide open central compartment, and is surprisingly stiff and sturdy so I know my camera is safe in there. A warning: this large size will make you want to carry more stuff with your messenger bag than is comfortable (ow... back pain).

As a Micro 4/3rds owner it allows me to stuff my GH2 with an attached lens and 2 extra lens with room to spare, so it should accomodate most DSLRs and a lens + flash with no problem. However because it's tight in my bag, the side pockets where they suggest you place extra batteries / SD cards becomes nigh impossible to access. It might've been better if the pockets had been on the sides instead of on the front. I would've preferred the discontinued orange color, but the green / gray combo is easy enough on the eyes.

The drawstring is not going to keep water or dust out as it doesn't close the top completely, and is a hassle to open and close, so I just leave it open most of the time and leave my messenger bag flap to provide the actual weather-resistance.
