The UA2000 High Power Wireless-N Directional Dual Band USB Adapter from Amped Wireless allows extended connectivity for all of your Wi-Fi enabled devices. This High Power Directional USB Adapter allows you to connect to Wi-Fi networks at ranges that weren't possible with older USB adapters. This high power, advanced technology is a result of dual high power amplifiers used to boost wireless transmissions along with dual low noise amplifiers for improving wireless reception.
The increased speeds and improved distance found in this High Power Directional USB Adapter allows for faster data speeds when transferring large files and reduced buffering when watching HD quality video. With the dual band technology found in this USB adapter you can connect at speeds up to 300Mbps.

We use this on a tower computer that is some distance from the router. Went from 2 bars to 4 bars of signal strength, and no longer get dropped. Installation was easy, but had to manually disable the tower's onboard adapter. It took a few days for the system to get used to the new adapter. On the second day, it failed to boot fully on the first try. But the computer soon found its regular rhythm with its new adapter, and all is well. The adapter powers up and down with the system and requires no attention.
