Shaped like a backpack, the black Triumph 45 Sling Bag from Ruggard holds a DSLR with a battery grip, an attached zoom lens, two flashes and an extra zoom lens in the main camera compartment. Built for everyday photography, this bag features a hard 600D Oxford Nylon exterior that is water-repellant and a side flap that allows you to easily access your DSLR from the main compartment. You can do so without removing the bag from your shoulder. While you can access the DSLR from the side flap, the main compartment of the bag is designed to rest against your back for protection against theft.

When you need to access the bag, the main compartment opens and closes with a zipper and has five padded, adjustable interior dividers. Smaller personal or photo items can be stored in the top compartment at the front, as well as in the front pouch, which has an internal organizer. A compact or travel tripod can be placed in the tripod holder. The holder itself features a set of attachment straps and two pockets.

Tucked into the back padding is a waist strap for better support carrying the sling bag, and a rain cover that can be detached if you need to dry it out. The sling strap on the Triumph is padded and features an adjustable quick-release buckle. The bag can be carried using the sling strap and lifted using the top or side grip handles.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 45 Sling Bag:

I bought this to use when I am doing on-location photography. It easily holds all of the gear I need, but there are few things that I don't like about it.

First, the compartments to hold lens, etc. are a bit too big, even for my flash and my biggest lens. The dividers don't fit snuggly around my equipment, which makes me concerned that it could be damaged. Also, quick access compartment for my camera is also too big. There is nothing on the sides of the camera to keep it from getting jostled around, which is not good. I am going to have to roll up some pieces of foam to put on the sides to keep my camera in place.

I bought this bag instead of the next smallere size because the salesperson I spoke to about it on the phone said that I would not be able to fit a full-size camera into the top compartment made for storing a second camera, and I think that is probably true after seeing the bag I purchased.

Great Traveling Bag for your camera, small wide angle lens, and large 70-200mm. The bag is well made, provides the protection you need and easy to carry. The sling feature works even better than I thought it would. Would certainly recommend without hesitation.

Quality construction. More room and storage area than I expected, can get 2 bodies with lenses installed in this bag if you use top compartment and still have room for more lenses or gear. Good strap attachment location to bag, allows comfortable use with strap across one shoulder.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 45 Sling Bag:

I've used my Sling Bag just once so far, but have found it to be nice to work with. Plenty of space. I've used a camera backpack before, so the sling design took some getting used to at first. But it is quite comfortable once you become accustomed to it. The side of the bag zips open for easy access to your camera while you're on the go. Access to the main compartment is from the back, which I'd imagine would deter thieves while you're wearing it. The ability to strap a travel tripod on the side is a plus.

Comfortable sling bag that feels natural to use, just slide it from your back to your left side for easy access to a DSLR camera with lots of room to spare. Frees up your waist and still allows for quick access and extra storage for other lenses. Also has a waist strap that secures the bag when you want to move a little faster. Comes with a rain cover as well.

nice sling design takes the frustration out of trying to figure out if you should use a backpack or a sholder strap, but product didn't come with any kind of instruction/manual so for those not used to this design it can be somewhat confusing as to how you effectively utilize it.

Have used back packs and camera bags, none of them worked well on hikes of any distance. Purchased this sling bag and found it way more useful. Surprised by the weight. Not overly heavy, but would like to have the same space and less weight.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 45 Sling Bag:

Sling-style bags and cases are a wonderful invention, however at this size is where you start to encounter tradeoffs. The Triumph 45 Sling Bag is indeed a sling bag in concept; however being the size of a small backpack, the bulk of it can hinder the "sling" function if you're not patient (or strong enough), but more on that later.

The construction of this bag is excellent; I found all the seams and stitching to be strong, the padding on the straps and back is excellent, the zippers are a good quality and the clips, while plastic, do not feel near as "cheap" to me as others have said. The included rain cover is a nice touch that tucks neatly away when not in use. While the side Tripod compartment isn't designed for full-sized tripods, I find the straps and retaining system sufficient to hold one for short periods, but I wouldn't want to hike with one attached for long distances.

The bag is incredibly spacious and efficiently laid-out for the size; all the dividers are adjustable to different positions, and the "hammock" area (that holds the body/attached lens and is accessible through the side "sling" access) is large enough to accommodate a standard body and grip, and also holds my flash in its case. I do wish the interior was a different color (such as the yellow of the exterior accents); other manufacturers use bright colors for their interiors which can make it much easier to find smaller components inside when there is low light.

I find the bag to be quite secure; the main innards are accessible through a "hatch" on the rear, meaning when you're wearing the bag the hatch is against your back; much less easy for unwanted wandering hands to access. My only complaint here are the elastic bands at the bottom of the hatch, forcing you to hold it open when you need to access gear, but this is a minor issue. The side "sling" access for the body/lens requires three steps to open - a plastic clip, a dual zipper and some Velcro. There is virtually no way someone could pick that pocket without you noticing. Only the top/front compartments are easily accessible from the outside, thus where I keep cheap incidentals, and even then there are mesh pockets in the compartments that would be difficult to pilfer.

The only drawbacks I can really find deal with the bulk and weight; the bag by itself is not that heavy, however given all it can hold it can gain mass quickly. My current kit consists of:
-SLR Body with attached 18-200 Lens
                          -70-200 Lens and hood
                          -Shoe flash in case
                          -28-75 Lens
                          -50mm prime
                          -Extension tubes
-Spare batteries, charger, remote, diffuser, cleaning kit, etc.
With all this, the bag rings in at 13 pounds which doesn't sound like much, until you try to "sling" it around to access the side hatch. You'd better have some decent shoulder strength, or you might just fall over!

This is not meant to be a quick-draw sling; I doubt you'd be able to unholster your DSLR in just a few seconds to snap that once-in-a-lifetime split-second shot; however for folks looking for a durable, convenient way to handle a decent amount of gear for a day trip or job, this bag would be more than sufficient.

Very well built. Plenty of room for everything I carry. Not thrilled with the strap. I wish there was an option to disconnect the waist strap and onlt attach the shoulder.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 45 Sling Bag:

This bag is well padded and designed. I am able to fit my D7000 with grip and large lens in quick access window - something I had trouble doing with other bags. There are spots and plenty of room for basic photography essentials. I also feel my gear is well protected. The only downside comes with the tripod holder. It seems to allow for smaller tripods; however, it does get the job done.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 45 Sling Bag:

Great and roomy bag. Fits lots of gear but is somewhat difficult to get a gripped body in and out of the side opening. Only other concern is the plastic buckle on the sling strap. Seems kind of flimsy and is the only thing between your gear and the floor.

THE BAG WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED IN A BAG AND THE PRICE WAS FANTASTIC FOR WHAT YOU GET. THE BAG WAS BIGGER THAN I IMAGINED. I HAVE A PANASONIC DMC-GH3 AND IT FITS IN THERE LOOSELY. I PUT MY SECOND CAMERA IN THE TOP COMPARTMENT. USING THE SIDE FLAP TO GET OUT THE CAMERA IS GREAT.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 45 Sling Bag:

I bought the Ruggard Triumph 45 Sling bag and immediatly took it for a 7 day trip. It has great pockets and room for everything you need and then some (I had a Canon 70D with a 17-55 lens, 50 mm lens and enough room for external flash and even a 70-200 lens, gloves, 3 sets of filters, wallet...). The slig is well padded and was very comfortable on my sholder. You might want to consider a backpack if you have a problem with the fact that you have to pick it up in a cetain way and through it only on one sholder and not the other. The tripod holder was very efficient but make sure you buckle it back as it might fall out of the loop that's holidng it and be lost.As a personal preference, I would have loved to see it in other colors other than black.
