Built for everyday photography, this bag features a hard 600D Oxford Nylon exterior that is water-repellant and a side flap that allows you to easily access your DSLR from the main compartment. You can do so without removing the bag from your shoulder. While you can access the DSLR from the side flap, the main compartment of the bag is designed to rest against your back for protection against theft.

When you need to access the bag, the main compartment opens and closes with a zipper and has five padded, adjustable interior dividers. Smaller personal or photo items can be stored in the top compartment at the front, as well as in the front pouch, which has an internal organizer. A compact or travel tripod can be placed in the tripod holder. The holder itself features a set of attachment straps and two pockets.

Tucked into the back padding is a waist strap for better support carrying the sling bag, and a rain cover that can be detached if you need to dry it out. The sling strap on the Triumph is padded and features an adjustable quick-release buckle. The bag can be carried using the sling strap and lifted using the top or side grip handles.

Firstly, I am an amateur photographer who has gotten fairly serious about learning and shooting over the last year and a half when I bought my first DSLR and I have been acquiring gear throughout this time.

I had been looking to replace my Amazon Basics backpack with a sling bag that was large enough to carry my Canon t4i with the Sigma 150-500 lens I purchased recently. I was fairly discouraged by the offerings of my local photo store. Bags of that size can be awfully expensive and I didn't want to risk buying one online not knowing how well it would fit my gear.

But with an upcoming trip to NYC, I decided to look at B&H's site to see what they had to offer and spotted the Triumph 55. I thought for the price it would be worth checking out at the store.

Suffice it to say it really exceeded my expectations. To begin with, my salesperson, Isaac, was outstanding. He spent about 20 mins with me going over the bag. He asked what kind of gear I had, found demos in the store, configured the bag, loaded it and helped me fit it to my body so that I could get a sense of how it felt. Outstanding customer service!

The bag was able to fit my camera body with the 150-500 lens attached so now I can swing it around and store my camera without taking the bag off. Awesome. It also still has room for my 18-250mm walkaround Sigma as well as Lenspens, filters, batteries, monopod,,,etc...

I've used the bag several times over the last few weeks, hiking with it for a couple of miles. Even though the pack weighed 16 lbs fully loaded, it really was quite comfortable. The waist belt is really essential when you are carrying that much weight. But since it holds so securely to your body, it doesn't feel like you're carrying that much.

Some people are concerned because it is fairly large but for my purposes it is perfect. It's large enough to carry everything I would need on a trip and still fit underneath a seat on an airplane. Also, the good thing is that there are smaller versions of the same bag and they all seem very well padded, well designed and durable.

For the price I think this bag is an outstanding value and would recommend it to anyone. And as far a B&H goes, take it from an expatriate New Yorker now living among the friendliest people in the world in Omaha, the staff at B&H are second to none in customer service.

    Disappointing to say the least.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 55 Sling Bag:

I bought this bag after changing my mind in the store.. Originally I was going to get a LowePRO sling bag, but this RUGGARD changed my mind.

I love how it's basically got pockets for almost everything!!!
Everything except my laptop. That's the one drawback that I can see with this.. It's really the only thing that's missing. I'd also like to see a little more flexibility with the internal dividers, but other than that i love it.

I would recommend this back to pretty much everyone.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 55 Sling Bag:

I use my D600 to take images mostly of family, flowers and landscapes.
The bag is probably a bit large and heavy for an 89 year old, but it does hold everything I need and the camera is very accessible.
The waist band could be made easier to use.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 55 Sling Bag:

I bought this bag to use in the field (on the mountain), primarily to shoot video of skiers, riders and other winter sports action. I worried my Canon XF100 might not fit in the bag's side compartment, which would all but render it useless. But after removing the interior's velcro separators, I was able to fit the camera in with ease (and some room to spare). And nothing could be more convenient than skiing up to a shot, sliding the bag from over the shoulder to the front of my torso, pulling the double sided zipper pocket and whipping out my camera. I can even use the bag as a stabilizer to shoot atop from. And the accessory pockets are roomy enough to house all of my related gear: spare batteries, lens wipes, audio equipment, etc. While I'm still putting this bag through the paces, it has easily earned its price point in value and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone that needs to store their gear in a safe place but also needs immediate access to it as well. Bravo Ruggard!

I needed a bag to use when I wasn't transporting everything in my ThinkTank Airport International and the Triumph 5S Sling Bag looked like a good option. It's bigger than I pictured but it works very well. It easily holds my 60D with grip or my 7D with grip. There's lots of room for lenses, flash, accessories. The bag is lightweight but made very well. It's a real bargain at the price. I am very happy with it.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 55 Sling Bag:

I loved the sling design, quick access to my camera, and many storage areas. This bag is obviously made from quality materials and would be ideal to haul a camera, several lenses, flashes, and other small accessories. For me, however, several issues caused me to return this bag. First, if you are a small-framed person, the bag may not be snug enough, even at its smallest setting (I am 5'4" and 115 pounds...and it was loose on me). Secondly, the tripod pouch was too small to fit my MeFOTO Roadtrip tripod. Lastly, the bag is overwhelmingly massive - great for hiking but not for casual outings. If you are seeking a sling bag that will hold a ton of gear (and you're not a person of small build), then this might be a great bag for you. ......

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 55 Sling Bag:

I bought and returned at least eight bags before I saw this one on the B&H site and thought I would try it. Here's what I love:
                      -Comfortable sling strap
-Compartments are big enough to hold my Canon40d with battery pack; 24-70 lens, 85mm lens, 50mm lens, 10-22mm lens and 70-200mm lens.
-Holds flash, extra memory cards and other stuff you usually shove in your pockets.
                      -Great raincover
-Opening meets your back rather than being open to others for theft.

This is a great bag - lighweight and inexpensive.

Comments about Ruggard Triumph 55 Sling Bag:

This is the newest of three bags that I own. I have a gigantic Manfroto that holds all my gear, but weighs a ton while doing so, so I really use it as safe storage for my gear, with the flexibility of being able to use it if I ever need to bring everything. I have a 5DMK3, 5 lenes, 7 4x4 and 4X6 filters, filter holder, flash, shutter release, a MeFOTO RoadTrip Travel Tripod, and all of the rest of the little gear that goes with a camera.
I was looking for a bag that would give me quick access to the camera, carry 1-2 lenses and all the filter gear, battery and cards.
This bag fits that bill to a "T". It is comfortable to wear and you can access the camera in a few seconds from the side panel. It easily holds the camera, 2-3 lenses (including a Canon 70-200 4L), shutter release all the filter equipment, spare battery, filter cleaning kit – well, you get the picture. One day I had the camera w/ a 17-40mm mounted, the 70-200 and my G1 X in it's own bag in this one!
The one disappointment is the way it mounts a tripod. I usually just end up carrying the tripod in it's shoulder bag. Also, it could use a few more external pockets, for a water bottle, for instance.
It is a very strong and well made bag that I think will last for years.
                          I'm happy I bought it.
