I have a Manfrotto video head, so I just thought I would get an extra plate, for fast swapping cameras or in case I lose one. I've had the head for 6 months now, and the plate feels very, very solid. The rubber pad grips the camera base very firmly without having to apply too much pressure to the screw. The metal D ring makes it easy to tighten without stopping to dig out a coin or screwdriver. My only complaint is that you have to be careful to check the direction of the camera, it only locks in one way - luckily the underside has an arrow!

Comments about Manfrotto 200PL Quick Release Plate with 1/4"-20 Screw and 3/8" Bushing Adapter:
Not much to say. It replaced an old quick release plate that was failing to secure my camera properly. The older QRP was cork based and was depressed and smoothed out. This new one is rubber based and looks like it will last a lifetime.

Comments about Manfrotto 200PL Quick Release Plate with 1/4"-20 Screw and 3/8" Bushing Adapter:
If you are using two or more cameras and a single tripod, it only makes sense to have a plate attached to each camera in order to facilitate the rapid change-out of cameras on the tripod.

Good, but a little too expensive, if you compare the price of this item with the price of a fluid head of manfrotto that includes this item.

One more vote on the quality of this product. Works on both my monopod and my old Bogen tripod. Since the old Bogen plate doesn't work on the monopod, I bought some extras to have complete interchangeability. Great product and a great price. B&H shipped promptly. Why try and save a nickel? Go with the pros, stick with B&H!

I bought a few of these so I can make an interchangeable system with tripods, lights stands, mics, cameras, lights, you name and it and I already have put one of these on it. It makes setups that usually take 15 mins or so because of screwing things in and such into 10 secs or less. It makes setup and packing down breeze.

I use this on a Manfrotto monopod. The fit and finish is excellent. Holds my camera very securely and the rubberized plate seems to resist loosening more than other adapter plates I've used. Definitely feels like a piece of pro gear.
