Yamaha's BD-S673BL Blu-ray 3D Player w/ Built-In Wi-Fi (Black) is a full HD 1080p 3D disc player with support for Internet streaming. This media format is capable of holding up to five times that of DVDs and outputs a maximum of 1920 x 1080 pixels (1080p).
The BD-S673BL supports various multimedia functions and an Ethernet port for home networking. Videos, music, and photos stored can now be incorporated into your main entertainment system. The BD-S673BL's Ethernet port also supports Internet radio, video on demand via Netflix or YouTube Leanback. The Ethernet port or built-in Wi-Fi opens up the interactive, content-rich world of BD-Live --you'll have access to Blu-ray extras like filmmaker chats, quizzes and previews. It also supports BONUSVIEW for picture-in-picture displays of multiple sources, with one in a smaller window. Connectivity on the BD-S673BL is rounded out by two USB ports that let you play media from a variety of storage devices.
This player supports content encoded in HD formats like AVCHD and DivX Plus HD, and all standard definition video can be upscaled via HDMI to widescreen 1080p. As well as handling 3D video, the HDMI output also supports lossless audio from Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD.

Comments about Yamaha BD-S673BL Blu-ray 3D Player w/ Built-In Wi-Fi (Black):
The BDS673 is classic Yamaha design - simple but elegant. It appears to be very well-made and was very easy to set up. It streams YouTube and plays all my DVD/CDs without issue. The sound quality is exceptional, and what I expect from Yamaha. My only concern is the occasional difficulty I have in getting the unit to shut off using the remote. I can use the remote to do all normal functions such as change tracks, eject the disc, etc., but when I try to shut off power with the remote the unit sometimes displays "BYE" but locks up that way until I go over to the unit and push the off button on its front panel.

Comments about Yamaha BD-S673BL Blu-ray 3D Player w/ Built-In Wi-Fi (Black):
The upconversion on this unit is great. My older DVD's have never looked better.
Audio jacks on back allow me to connect to my older receiver which does not have HDMI.

Comments about Yamaha BD-S673BL Blu-ray 3D Player w/ Built-In Wi-Fi (Black):
This system is awesome but I'm only able to get 480 or 5 because my Tv does
not have HDMI connections it only has component cables for 1080i. The description on the product was misleading.
