Comments about Nikon 10x42 Monarch 7 ATB Binocular:
I had a nice little pair of Nikon 8x binoculars that were especially handy for bringing on trips. I wanted a more powerful pair for bird watching. These are fantastic. Images are very sharp and clear and I can see tons of detail at a great distance. I've hiked with them and they are not heavy to carry. With the 10x you do need a reasonably steady hand but you don't have to be perfect.

Comments about Nikon 10x42 Monarch 7 ATB Binocular:
The Monarch 7 ATB Binoculars are a considerable step up from previous generation Monarch ATB's. The wider field of view and brighter, sharper image make these an excellent choice. They have to be one of the best binoculars at this price point. They bridge the gap between previous ATB's and the more high end binoculars, such as the Nikon Premier. My wife owns the Nikon Premier binocular, and the differences between the 2 glasses is minimal. The Monarch 7 ATBs have slightly more abberation toward the edges, but in most cases you will not pay attention to this. It is also slightly less bright, but then again, the Nikon Premier is 2.5 times the cost. The Monarch 7 is also light as a feather. You can hold it to your eyes for extended periods and not feel any discomfort. They are well made and durable. They also come with objective lens covers, a rain guard, a thick comfortable strap, and a well-padded carrying case. Overall, the Monarch 7 ATB is an ideal choice for the outdoor enthusiast. You will not be disappointed.

Comments about Nikon 10x42 Monarch 7 ATB Binocular:
After a much anticipated wait I finally received my Monarchs. I was a bit disappointed with the optical quality when compared to my Vanguard Endeavor 8.5x45. The Nikon did not have as good a contrast and image sharpness. The field of view is great but the aspect ratio of the image looks more elongated in the vertical axis. Other then this the colour reproduction and brightness is good.

Comments about Nikon 10x42 Monarch 7 ATB Binocular:
this is a wonderful product, such clarity. light enough to wear around the neck. I like the new caps for the lens , not so easy to break as with the older pair in Monarchs I had. I would recommend this to anyone needing a great, not so costly pair of binoculars.

Comments about Nikon 10x42 Monarch 7 ATB Binocular:
I bought these for my husband after we returned from a long safari in Africa using the Monarch 5 8x42 (which were fantastic) - but felt we could have used the extra strength these Monarch 7 10.42 have. They somehow feel lighter than the Monarch 5 too. Very sturdy, feel great to hold. Highly recommend
