Questions? Ask our experts:

The Ready Rig with Case is designed to support HDSLRs and moderately sized camcorders with four points of stabilization. The system completely redistributes the weight of the camera away from the user's hands, enabling even hands-free operation. This not only mitigates fatigue during prolonged use, the Ready Rig also fosters steady camera movements without compromising the freedom of movement afforded by shooting handheld. The rig supports a suggest load capacity of 12 to 17 lb. A custom fit case is included for convenient transport and storage.

Comments about Ready Rig with Case:

I have used several hand-held rigs over the last couple of years, and the Ready Rig is by far my favorite. It is versatile, smooth, and allows the user to operate for hours without getting fatigued. I'm currently working on a documentary/online education project and often operate for several hours at a time. The Ready Rig makes it a breeze. I find myself able to be more creative throughout the day because I am not dealing with back or shoulder fatigue. The quality of hand-held that can be achieved is also quite amazing, especially when shooting with a DSLR. I would highly recommend this rig.

      Awesome Device!

Comments about Ready Rig with Case:

While there's not one particular tool to get your video job done, this rig comes close. I've used the rig for hours at a time on both documentary work (motorsports) and television commercials under a variety of circumstances and the Ready Rig always continues to impress. The freedom of movement it provides is invaluable while keeping fatigue to a minimum. After shooting race cars for 10 hours straight in hot Daytona sun with the rig, I finally took it off and felt little to no fatigue. Try THAT with a shoulder rig!Their customer service is personal and great and I'd highly recommend this product to anyone on long shoots who need freedom of movement with their camera.

Right out of the gate this rig performed as advertised. It was very easy to set-up and balance. After 2 full days of shooting, one of which was on a boat at sea,my body wasn't fatigued at all! Great product!

Comments about Ready Rig with Case:

Not sure how I could shoot without a Ready Rig. I was recently loaned one by a friend for a video shoot. I found it to be a combination of a shoulder rig, and a steady cam (For those of us that can't operate one and don't want to spend a ton of money.)

Currently I am shooting a reality show and got another chance to use it. My current shoulder mount is starting to fade. It's just feeling real heavy after an hour. Even though it has a belt and a rod system to try and help with the weight, it still feels heavy so quickly. With the Ready Rig, I can shoot all day. The footage we are getting is amazing.

          A back saver!

          By Rick B

          from San Francisco

Comments about Ready Rig with Case:

This unit makes it possible to do extended video work without totally reaching exhaustion from fatigue. It also makes your shots a lot more stable. It is no Steadicam but it does make handheld shots easier.

Comments about Ready Rig with Case:

Just wanted to say that I purchased a Ready Rig. Got it deliveredon Friday.I've been playing with it all weekend.I shoot professionally and the video scenes I shoot are generally20 to 30 minutes in length. When I add in the still photographyduring the scenes, I've usually got my rig in my hands for acouple of hours straight.I use a Canon 5d mkiii with a kino ring light and ballast, asmall-hd monitor, and an external mic.The whole thing is around 12 pounds.Doesn't sound like much weight, but I was doing it hand-held usinga Shape Paparazzi Pro rig. It was hard to go more than 10 minuteswithout having to stop and set the rig down for a second. Then I tried a cheap shoulder mount. That was even worse! I feltlike my lower back was on fire after 15 minutes. But last night I assembled my entire rig on the Ready Rig. Then Iwalked around with it on for about an hour. Afterwards I fooledaround and shot 30 minutes of footage.Felt GREAT! I was fresh and feeling like I could shoot for hourswith the Ready Rig!Great job guys!-Robbie BoyetteClaudiaMarie

Comments about Ready Rig with Case:

I don't usually rave about gear, but this rig takes the cake. It is absolutely terrific for shooting events where you might otherwise get fatigued from holding the camera all day. You can take the camera way up high or down to knee level for a low shot without any of the usual strain on your back or shoulders due to the rod system that transfers most of the weight to your hips. This system would work really well for anything though: Commercials, TV (I've shot on reality shows using monopods and this thing would work much better) or movies. And it's a great value at $ . You can drop that much on a shoulder rig without even thinking about it and this rig will do ten times what a shoulder rig does.
