A perfect fit with plenty of grip from the side "clips" .... looks like the original, but the added benefit of a simple cord to keep the cap from getting lost. Has the Leica logo in the plastic. Pricy, but a quality part .... no comparison to the replacement junk on @.

Lost original lens cover. No good generic replacement found. This item is better than the original because of retaining cord. Would have given it 5 star except for price being high at $ . Still would highly recommend. If you still have the original you may be able to put a retaining cord on it as there should be small slit on one side.

So far I have not been able to figure out how to attach the string that comes with it. Without it, it is inevitable that you will drop the cap sometimes. That is not a big deal unless you are over water. I dropped mine while on an English canal boat. I did not like paying the price for a replacement, considering that this piece of plastic must've cost them about [$] to make at the most. However, part of the fun of using a Leica is the name, and I like having the name across the lens cap. So I like it overall, but with the above reservations.
