The camouflage-patterned Talkabout MS355R 2-Way Radio Pair from Motorola enables long-distance communication in rough outdoor environments. Each radio has a compact and lightweight design with an ergonomic shape designed to reduce fatigue and minimize slipping. The radios meet IP-67 waterproof standards, enabling them to be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. This makes them ideal for fishing, camping, swimming, canoeing, heavy rainstorms, and more. Even if you happen to drop a radio in the water, it will float and remain visible on the surface.
The radios offer a wireless range of up to 35 miles. There are 22 channels and 121 privacy codes. A priority scan function helps you to find a clear channel quickly and easily. Auto squelch and a Quiet Talk filter minimize excess noise for clear communication. There are 8 repeater channels, which allow the radios to work with a local repeater station to improve your signal range. Eleven (7 NOAA) weather channels are available so you can stay aware of the weather during your outdoor adventures. Weather alerts provide warnings of incoming storms or dangerous conditions.
Each radio is equipped with a headset jack, allowing you to connect a headset (sold separately) for hands-free operation. The included belt clips and integrated iVOX function also facilitate hands-free use. Each radio has a rechargeable NiMH battery that offers up to 9 hours of operation. The radios can also operate on standard alkaline AA batteries, which provide up to 23 hours of operation. A dual drop-in charger is included so you can charge both radios simultaneously.
Note! Wireless range is under optimum conditions with a clear line of sight. Actual range will vary depending on environment. Use of the repeater function requires a GMRS license and an accessible repeater station. The radios will float with the included NiMH batteries. They may not float with some AA batteries. Headsets should only be used in dry environments. NOAA radio service may not be available in all areas.

Comments about Motorola Talkabout MS355R 2-Way Radio Pair (Camouflage):
As long as you know how to set them they work great. You will never get the range listed on them, but if you understand how radio waves work you will realize your limitations. They also work great on a good repeater.
