I was going to use this camera as an all purpose action cam. I found nothing all that great about it, when looking at "all purpose". Because it wasn't. It's actually hard to hold. Slick surfaces, huge glass lens cover always got smeared by fingers.The "touch" sensitive controls were really not to my liking after playing with it. Video quality was good. But I just couldn't get over all the open slots and holes! The SD card slot open, and every other plug slot like USB. I even contacted Veho and said you think that half of these mounts you include are useful? They only work with out the water proof case! Who's going dirt biking with all the slots and plugs exposed? They answered in a timely fashion that they do have outdoors people using the camera's with no problems. In my eyes a MAJOR design flaw. I ordered the camera in haste I guess. Should have noticed all that before hand. I do not believe it's an action camera. Plus I hate remote controls that only work when the camera is already on. The best remote control is one that turns camera on, records, then stops recording and turns camera off. That's how you save battery power! The camera is a AEE camera from China (no surprise, there) Marketed by Veho, I hope. And not designed by them. I wouldn't want to take credit for such design flaws.

I was surprised but bought the camera anyhow. After playing around with it, and looking at all those mounts and things that you get with it. There's these 'cup' like mounts that the 'bare' camera fits in. And on Veho's website they show these cup style mounting arrangments on helmets and such. Well, that leave the entire camera open to dust, dirt, sand, moisture. Because there is zero protection to cover the Av slot, the USB slot, the SD card slot....Ya mean your skate boarding, dirt biking, bycycle riding with these mounts on your helmet and that forementioned can just get into those slots? So those cup like mounts that the bare camera slids into are useless in my opinion. I'm using the camera on a charter boat, filming fishing and such. So yeah, I'll be using the supplied waterproof case. So I tested it....the audio I mean. Most action cams, to include the legendary GoPro's have audio from inside the case that sounds like junk. The Veho Muvi's audio from inside the case is OKAY... if you talk above normal person to person volume. Which is okay. I have a Cam-One Infinity that is a deaf camera when in the water proof case. So there are cameras out there that the case makes them completely useless when the cameras in them.So he Veho Muvi gets a B+The camera needs to be a bit more grippy. The slick back on it with the touch pad controls is slick of course. And I cannot seem to handle it with out smudging up the lens constantly.It has very good low light capabilities. NOT dark, I said Low Light, as in dusk and dawn. It's easy to operate, and the wide angle lens is great. REALLY what I wanted was a Kodak Playsports re-designed for serious videoing. This camera I thought might be it.But I still am hung up on all the slots being out in the enviroment ready to get dirty. I may send it back. Overall out of the 8 action cams I have owned and used I give it a 7 out of 10. The remote is great and works fast. B-U-T, I have a Sports-Vue 360 HD the super [*] chinese type action cam and it's remote does what ALL remotes should do.-Turn on camera/start recording-Turn off camera/Stop recording. If the Veho's remote did that...wow I'd be happy.

This bundle has everything you need! IN my personal opinion it beats the GoPro simply because of price; it has every accesory you need or want which is sold separately for the GoPro...even includes a remote. Specs are comparable and output is very good...Just love the thing and recommend it! If you want a small camcorder with 1080p capability and want to spend less, this is the way to go...

Everything is better in small packages! This is the best action video/camera. The only one with a clear large review window. The only negative is deciding which attachment to put on my snow board helmet.

I bought this after my GoPro camera became more of a desk object rather than something I enjoyed using. I never could get the remote control to work properly and the boxy form factor often made wearing it look undeniably silly. All these inconveniences are sorted with this MUVI camera. The remote actually works, the wearable mounting can be unobtrusively worn with nearly any apparel, and the menu items are understandable. Added pluses are the rear LCD screen, VOX activation, and the continuous recording option.

I purchased this unit to use underwater. I chose it because it was the complete "package" with all the accessories I could possible need. I have used it in my pool on various video settings and they all look great. I'll eventually take it on dive trips and mount it on a bar too hold UW video lights to be able to capture colors properly at depth. I takes great photos and is easy to use, (once you read all the instructions, which are pretty well-written).

I also purchased a larger capacity micro SD card because on a dive trip, that card is your only source for whatever you shot. It is the only location that the video/photos are saved. Once you shoot some video or stills, you can "protect" them and they cannot be overwritten or erased accidentally. Therefore a whole week's shooting can be saved and protected until you can get to a computer or other device and download the images/video. I like this feature, but if you going to shoot a lot of minutes or even hours of video, especially at HD, you need a lot of memory space.

The other main feature that helped me decide on this unit is that it has a built-in monitor. It's small, but it can still be used to frame that perfect shot or video. Thee is no guessing when it comes to lining up the camera.

It's so small that I don't need a regular tipod in the pool. I just put together some pvc pipe with a base and screwed one of the mounting feet onto the pvc. I made it in sections that can be taken apart in a momnet and resized either taller or shorter. I useed regular pvc fitting NOT glued in place so it all just comes aprat. You can't do THAT with a 20-lb camera housing!

Because it's so samll, I recommend you mount it to something a little heavier. Why? Because it will help you hold it more steadily. The thing has no weight, so the slightest movement of your hand creates a bouncy picture. Mounting it on soemthin with a little mass helps you steady the camera. For example, a simple bar with a handle at each end, the total weight of wich is in the 2-lb range.

I'm going on and on, but overall, this is a great little camera and for underwater use, amazingly easy! No other camera can be taken in and out of its UW housing in mere seconds like this one can.

Lens is very wide angle so be careful of bright backgrounds. The foreground may end up too dark. Focus is constant from 2.5cm to infinity. Huge plus! (Basically never out of focus!)

The camera is what it is. It won't do everything a $3K camera will do, but for certain activities in proper lighting conditions, this camera is great! It can capture images and action that no heavy camera could!
