The Sunwayfoto PCL-5DIII L-Bracket for Canon 5D Mark III Without Battery Grip enables fast changes between portrait and landscape orientation with your Canon 5D Mark III – without the need to readjust your head and completely recompose the shot. You can simply release the bracket from your Arca-style quick-release clamp (not included), tilt it 90°, and lock the bracket back in place. Using an L-bracket also facilitates a sturdier base of support than tilting an entire head to a 90° position.
Machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum, the PCL-5DIII specifically for the Canon 5D Mark III without a battery grip attached. It features four safety stop mounting holes on the back of the bracket. A gap on the vertical side of the bracket provides access to the remote code.

Comments about Sunwayfoto PCL-5DIII L-Bracket for Canon 5D Mark III Without Battery Grip:
from the photo it looks like this is arca-swiss compatible, but not so "unless" you have a long base for the 2 bottom "spacing" bolts to rest on. If your arca swiss base is a short one, it won't fit properly. Probably works well with the dedicated base

Comments about Sunwayfoto PCL-5DIII L-Bracket for Canon 5D Mark III Without Battery Grip:
Bought this as it was the only availabke L-bracket for the just-released 5DmarkIII at the time. After mounting it to my camera a dozen times, the head of the mounting screw tore off just as I was preparing to leave for an important shoot. Sunwayfoto use a different type of screws than the old Kirk and RRS L-brackets I have lying around, so a quick DIY repair was out of the question, and I had to do without a L-bracket for an assignment abroad that lasted several days. This is the first time ever that I have exprienced the head of a screw just come off like that, which to me suggests that Sunwayfoto is a cheap chinese maker, using cheap metal alloys, that any serious photographer should avoid like the plague. You have been warned.

Comments about Sunwayfoto PCL-5DIII L-Bracket for Canon 5D Mark III Without Battery Grip:
This L-bracket enables me to quickly and adapt my 5D3 to landscape or portrait mount on my Markins ballhead. It is light, but sufficient thicknesses to the aluminium sections for structural rigidity. It allows easy assess to the cable ports on the LHS. And it is cheapr than the other brand names but does not scarifice in functionality or quality. A very good product.

Comments about Sunwayfoto PCL-5DIII L-Bracket for Canon 5D Mark III Without Battery Grip:
Dont overlook this "L" bracket.
Just as nice as the RRS & Kirk for less money.
Contoured like the RRS or Kirk to match the 5D3's rounded base.
Comes in a nice box with extra safety stop screws and 2 allen keys that are not listed in its description.
Fits like a glove on camera, works beautifully on the BH55.
Slots are accessible and remote cable release fits perfect.
Excellent lower-priced alternative to RRS
