EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black from Canon is Canon's first mirrorless digital camera and it rises to the standards of the great Canon name. An 18.0 MP CMOS sensor and Canon's DIGIC 5 Image Processor ensure high performance and exceptional image quality for both photo and video and ultra-fast focusing is delivered via the Hybrid CMOS AF system. ISO sensitivity ranges from 100-12800 and expands to 25600 for quality details when shooting at high zoom and in low light.

A 3.0" Clear View LCD monitor II offers multi-touch operation including Touch Auto-focus. A 1040K-dot, smudge-resistant coated LCD with Clear View technology means that your display will remain easy to focus, control and view even in bright outdoor conditions. The touch screen operation is designed for intuitive scroll and two-finger navigational control, like a smartphone.

The EOS-M is a complete image capture system providing Full HD (1080p) Movie shooting and a range of resolution and frame rates to expand your creative video-making. Movie Servo AF means continuous, quiet AF tracking on moving subjects for fluid focus transitions. Manual exposure control and a built-in stereo microphone with 64 manual audio level adjustments equal the type of control that can create quality video for upload or HD television viewing. An external microphone jack is included and Video Snapshot, for making short video clips that can be edited together in-camera, is also included.

The EOS-M kit comes with a new EF-M mount 22mm f/2 STM lens. This is a compact "pancake" lens that offers the 35mm equivalent of a 35mm lens. It's an ideal focal length prime lens to start this new system, and it's small enough to carry anywhere. Of course, the best thing about Canon bringing their first mirrorless camera to the market is that the full range of Canon EF and EF-S lenses are now available to use on a compact digital camera system. An optional EF lens adapter is needed to use this great line of Canon lenses but the creative possibilities are endless.

The EOS-M Mirrorless is a camera for every level of photographer and there will be no shortage of pro shooters interested in testing out their Canon lenses on this important new camera, but the amateur and even beginner should feel comfortable knowing that they too are part of this new day. Scene Intelligent Auto is the most intuitive automatic camera mode available from Canon and provides complete scene analysis and optimized settings. As they say, it lets the camera do the work. Scene Intelligent Auto is particularly helpful when shooting with tricky light and Handheld Night Scene mode is ideal for night shooting. Combined with Multi Shot Noise Reduction, which preserves details when shooting at high ISO speeds, low-light photography is a joy with the EOS-M. HDR Backlight Control mode is also a wonderful assistive feature for shooting in high contrast lighting. The camera shoots the same image three times simultaneously in different exposures and combines them to create one properly balanced, dynamic photo.

Add numerous creative functions and seven filter options to this package and the EOS-M provides the total spectrum of shooting possibilities from beginner auto to pro control. This is a high image-quality, quiet, compact mirrorless Canon camera with a fast lens included and the full range of compatible Canon lenses available. We have been waiting, now we are ready. Let's go shoot!

Sensor and Image Processor
High resolution 18.0 MP CMOS APS-C (1.6x crop factor) sensor and high performance DIGIC 5 image processor equal fast functional response, exceptional image quality and sharp detail in both photo and video.
Full HD (1080p) Movie
The EOS-M offers Full HD (1080p) Movie mode with Movie Servo AF for continuous focus tracking of moving subjects, manual exposure control, multiple resolution and frame rates, built-in stereo microphone with a wind filter, manual audio level adjustment, and Video Snapshot with editing. Combined with STM lenses, such as the included 22mm f/2 STM lens, the Movie Servo AF provides smooth, silent auto-focus function, a great benefit when shooting video. The camera automatically splits files larger than 4GB for extended, uninterrupted recording and offers a jack for compatible external microphones. The file format for shooting video on the EOS-M is MOV with H.264 compression standard. Video can be recorded in Full HD, HD and SD and at Full HD the possible frames rates are 30, 24 and 25 frames per second. Auto exposure and manual exposure control are both possibe on video as well as photo capture.
ISO Sensitivity
Normal ISO sensitivity on the EOS-M ranges from 100-12800 but expands in High Sensitivity Mode to 25600 for faster shutter speeds and sharper details in low light.
Hybrid CMOS Auto-focus
Hybrid CMOS AF uses a combination of both Contrast AF, which utilizes the CMOS sensor, and Phase Difference Auto-focus to increase accuracy and auto-focus speed in both photo and video.
Touch Screen LCD with Touch AF
Thanks to a new construction between the its resin-coated cover and the liquid crystal display, the 3.0" Clear View LCD monitor keeps glare to a minimum and makes it easy to see your images even in bright light. The 1,040,000-dot resolution is ideal for playback and focusing and the smudge-resistant coating on the LCD preserves the luminosity after multiple touches. Numerous camera operations can be handled by the touch screen including Auto-focus control, whereby you touch the LCD screen on the part of the image you want in focus. Two-finger (multi-touch) control allows you to zoom, scroll images and navigate the menus as you would with a smartphone.
Lens Compatibility
At this point, Canon has introduced two M series lenses including the 22mm f/2 STM lens that is included in this kit, but the new EF-M mount on the EOS-M camera is able to use any of the huge family of Canon EF and EF-S lenses. The EF-EOS Mount Adapter will be necessary, but this opens up the EOS-M's range of creative possibilities to... endless!
Noise Reduction
Multi Shot Noise Reduction provides outstanding noise reduction while preserving fine detail in photos at high ISO speeds. With MSNR activated, the camera takes four consecutive shots of the same image, then merges and aligns them, reducing noise and blur.
Continuous Shooting and Burst Rate
For still photography, the EOS-M can shoot up to 4.3 frames per second for up to 15 shots utilizing an SD card in JPEG. With a UHS-I card that number lifts to 17 shots at 4.3fps. For video, the continuous shooting time in Full HD based on a 16GB memory card is 44 minutes.
Advanced Imaging Features
Handheld Night Scene and High Dynamic Range are assistive functions that allow all levels of photographers to take advantage of digital advancements to improve their shooting results. HDR, for example, shoots three images of the exact same image simultaneously in various exposures and combines the three into one perfectly balanced photo. This is ideal when shooting images that have both shadow and bright light and those whose subject is lit from behind. The EOS-M also offers seven Creative Filters to enhance your images, including Toy Camera Effect and Art Bold Effect, which makes your photo look like an oil painting.
Scene Intelligent Auto Mode
Scene Intelligent Auto mode optimizes all of the camera's auto controls to provide the best settings based on the camera's reading of the scene. You compose the shot, the camera does the rest.
Recording
The EOS M Mirrorless Digital Camera uses popular SD, SDHC, SDXC memory cards and is even compatible with the newest Ultra High Speed (UHS-I) memory cards.
Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens
The EOS-M kit comes with one of Canon's first M-mount lenses, the 22mm (35mm equiv = 35.2mm) f/2 STM lens. It is a moderate wide-angle prime lens equivalent to a 35mm lens on a full-frame (35mm) camera. It is ultra-slim, befitting the mirrorless camera it is to be attached to and lightweight. The f/2 aperture means lots of light enters your camera and fast shutter speeds are possible even in lower light and the minimum focusing distance of 5.9" (O.15m). It houses one aspheric lens element and a 7-blade circular aperture which can deliver soft backgrounds and beautiful bokeh. It is an STM lens which stands for stepping motor and this provides a smooth, silent autofocus when used with the EOS-M's Movie Servo AF. Silent auto-focus is all-around great, but particularly useful when shooting video so that the sound of the AF does not interfere with the audio you are recording.

I purchased the "Canon EOS M Mirrorless Digital Camera Kit with 22mm f/2 Lens and 90EX Flash (Black) back a couple of months ago. I am a Semi-Pro using all Canon DSLR's and lenses from 13mm to 500mm. At first I just wanted this little camera to take on an Arizona trip for several days instead of hauling around another larger bag with my 5D Mark II and several lenses. The 22mm, my 85mm and an 18 to 55mm did just fine.

I also own the following DSLR's. 5D Mark II, 40D, XTI, and several other Canon point and shoots and movie systems.

I have since then managed to take 3000+ shots with this camera. I cannot believe what is coming from it. A lot of experimenting has gone on with the different lenses right up to my Canon 100-400mm is. So far I have mostly used the kit 22mm lens along with an EF 85mm lens. It does do a lot of searching with the larger lenses but I a am able to control almost all of that with the use of my Manfrotto mono or tri pods. The image stabilizers work much better with the pods.

The flash is also a well working flash. A lot better than I thought it would. I will also be testing my Canon 580EX on this camera.

All pictures are clear and sharp and I find myself now using this camera instead of the bigger 5D and 40D for many shootings.

The problem, besides searching, is the battery life. I own 4 batteries ( 1 Canon and 3 non Canon). I am able to double the shots I can take by leaving the review off and just checking every few shots.

One other thing is the movie making. They come out looking great BUT the duration is not too good. I am still working on that.

This camera did come with the upgraded software already installed that other people have been talking about.

I may actually purchase another kit before they are all gone. I hope that Canon will not get out of the mirroless business but improve on it

I have attached a fresh photo that I just took indoors with my 85mm attached. As you can see it is very clear and was taken indoors on a monopod in low light without a flash.

It should be a 4.5 rating because of the battery issue.

A Good Camera - Oddly Missing Features

I had been waiting for this camera a long time. A small camera offering much of the performance of a DLSR is perfect for many of my photographic needs. Keeping a camera with me and available is one of my cardinal rules, one I have held to for my entire adult life.

I preordered this camera as soon as it was possible to do so.

Most recently it is a Canon G series that has been my carry camera. A G9, G11 and currently a G12. But there are times a small sensor compact just can't get the shot, and I do not have the DSLR with me. This camera looked to be the middle road that I needed.

The build quality of the EOS-M is beautiful, it just feels good in the hand. The touch screen is new to me, the performance is snappy and accurate, with some useful features. The kit 22mm f/2 lens is an impressive little piece of glass, sharp and fast, creating impressive photo quality.

The focus on the EOS-M is SLOW, worse than my G12 by a large margin. I expected it to be somewhere between that of the compact and a DSLR, but was surprised with what I found. Using both cameras side by side on the same subject was an informative exercise. Given a simple scene it is faster, in practice it is worse, particularly up close.

Without a remote shutter release connector, why is there not an intervalometer function built into the camera?

Battery life is similarly disappointing. A red flashing symbol after an hour of shooting around 100 frames?

The worst surprise was yet to come, discovered when I plugged the camera into the computer and loaded the latest version of the EOS Utilities. There is no remote shooting!

This little fact is not clear in the specifications, even when I go back and look for it. Why does this camera lack something that every other recent EOS camera supports?

I do a lot of technical shooting... astrophotography, time lapse, etc. Without a reasonable way to control the camera, no remote shooting, no shutter release connector, a potentially great camera is crippled.

It is the removal of remote shooting that is the biggest issue, something that makes no sense to me. Time to get an RMA number and send it back. Looks like my G12 will be in use a bit longer.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

Great build quality. Love the touch screen. Excellent image quality - I'm very pleased with the photos. The camera is quite compact, and heavy for its size. The 22mm lens is sharp. The LCD is clear and crisp. There's no flash - but then I prefer working with available light and rarely used my flash even when I had one.The shutter sounds very nice - smooth, and not too loud.Yes, some might find the autofocus is at times a little slow - under certain shooting conditions. But I have no issue with it really. I shoot mostly landscapes and architectural work and macro, and for that it works great. I have not tried the video. I love the ability to set the focus target on the touch screen.. I also really like the touch screen shutter release setting - it's great for manual macro work.My only complaint with the EOS-M is the short battery life. It's good for about 100 or maybe 120 photos - a lot less than I was used to with my XF1 and other point-and-shoot cameras. This is my first foray into the world of larger sensor digital photography and I'm really liking it.

This camera is used for indoor and outdoor photography, portraits, landscapes, and video.GREAT:- Small size: It doesn't quite fit in the average pants pocket, but it does fit easily in a jacket pocket, so long as you are using the included lens or one of similar size. It is so great to be able to use my Canon lenses (with an adapter). - Image quality is a good balance.- Auto and manual exposure options are very good- Touch-screen controls- Image stabilization is very good- Battery life with the included battery is excellentNOT SO GREAT- The body is clunky and not ergonomic- When using larger lenses, the weight balance is awkward--not a criticism, just a reality of the small body- Navigating menus is not intuitive and has a slight learning curve

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I purchased this camera because I wanted a small package with great image quality and manual controls, and the current price made it impossible to pass up compared to the competition. I really had no desire to buy into the EOS M system or to mount any other Canon lenses on this body. Just a small body with a good compact lens and great IQ. This lives up to that. To me, it is more of a P&S as opposed to a mirrorless 'system' that I will expand.I wasn't planning on taking much video, but the Video Snapshot feature has completely changed that. I just celebrated my son's 3rd birthday and I used this camera on Video Snapshot mode with 4 second clips to capture micro moments throughout the day. Between recording clips, I captured great images with the shutter button without having to juggle modes. Before the party was even over, I pulled the single MOV file off the memory card and streamed it to my TV. Everyone was astounded at how professional it looked and how crisp the video quality was. Four seconds is great because it limits a parent's tendency to just hit record and have 10 minutes of the same old boring nothingness that only a parent could enjoy. The end result was great and it took zero effort on my part in post. Yes, the auto focus is slow, but it is not unreasonable. After getting use to it, I had no issues. Only a couple of shots were missed due to focusing issues. My only real complaint is the battery life. A second (or third... or fourth) backup battery is a must if you plan to travel with this camera. Overall, this is a great, fun camera at an amazing price! I encourage you to take advantage of the fact that most people dismissed Canon's entry into the mirrorless market and grab this gem at an incredible price.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I bought this to replace my Canon Rebel Xti. I am a hobbyist photographer, selling only a few prints to local buyers. I photograph landscape and architecture, and needed to reduce the amount of camera shake I was getting. Image quality improved with the first day's use. Compared to the Xti, the ISO noise is amazing. I know there are other cameras out there with higher ISO performance, but this has exceeded what I expected. The ability to use existing Canon lens' with the available adapter make this an incredible value. Focus is not an issue as other online reviews have stated. There is a firmware update available if it doesn't already have it...

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I sold my old Panasonic GF2 for this camera, as I was never happy with the image quality (still and video), and I didn't want to invest in the M43 system as I use it as my "point and shoot." Since I shoot with a full EOS DSLR system already, the ability to use my existing lenses with an adapter is a major plus. I took this camera on a trip to NYC in October, and it performed extremely well. Yes the autofocus is not as quick as the competition, but for street photography, still life, and video it is a great camera. Image quality is excellent up to ISO 1600 while 3200 is very good. I found I had many more "keepers" than I did with my Panasonic, and the Canon's image quality is considerably better (although the sensor is much newer). The 22mm lens is a gem, and with the EF adapter, the EF 40mm is a great match when street shooting. The small 90EX accessory flash is a must, and works great on any EOS DSLR for fill flash. Video quality is excellent, and when properly tricked out, it is a bargain for videographers.I hope Canon develops their mirrorless sector in the future beyond the current M2. Their M lenses are great, and much cheaper than any equivolent M43 lenses.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I've read quite a few negative reviews for this little gem. This review is not one of them. I'm not trying to replace any of my pro gear. My expectations were not extreamly high. I thought that I would add a small, light weight addition to my Canon system and get a look at what cropped sensor looks like with my existing lenses untill I purchase a 7D mark ll. What I got was a very well made point and shoot size camera that makes great exposures that are very sharp. I love the touch screen feature that focuses and shoots with a touch. This little giant is in my opinion; great! Yes, the camers focuses a little slow and the camera raw cannot be read in PSCS5. As a work around, Lightroom 5 can read this version of Camera raw. Add the adaptor to be able to use other canon lenes. Add a small Canon flash ( I added the 270EX)and an extra battery and you have a fablous mini system. Just for kicks, I tested the EOS-M with the Canon 400mm f5.6 against my Canon5D Mark lll with the same lens and found that the lens performed better on the M. Something wrong with the 5D focusing? Maybe. One thing that I would like to have would be cable release port.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

This camera and lens combo are amazing for the price. Yes, the camera has weaknesses discussed at length on the 'net. But it also has a lot of strengths. Image quality is very good, and the tiny 22mm lens is surprisingly sharp. I am using this for casual photography--family, workplace, street, landscape. Functions on the touchscreen are intuitive and simple, and everything I need can be accessed there. The lack of a viewfinder is a non-starter for some, but I don't miss it (I also shoot with Canon 7D). I bought this from B&H recently, and the software update was already installed. Focus is not as fast as a DSLR, but it is not as slow as some might have you believe. The LCD is very good and easy to see in daylight. The camera functions silently. The 22mm lens does not have IS, but it is unnecessary given the focal length and size (and my hands are not steady). As stated elsewhere, battery life is not great, so buy an extra battery.

If your style of photography requires a pocketable camera with a 35mm equivalent lens, you have to consider this choice.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I bought this camera to carry with me while bicycling as my Canon S95, while very good for what it is, lacks the sensor area to produce highest-quality landscape images. I am not disappointed with the EOS-M. However, it has some limitations that might be important if your requirements are different than mine. In particular it has no flash, is quite heavy for its size (I suspect the all-metal construction is mostly a marketing gimmick, and wish it were lighter), has a relatively low-capacity battery, and is relatively slow to autofocus and perform other basic operations. It also lacks image stabilization on the included 22mm lens. On the positive side the 22mm lens and overall image quality are excellent, as good as any APS-C DSLR, the camera with 22mm is very small, and the touch screen works well and makes it easy to get focused pictures, especially portraits, with the lens wide open. Think of this camera as a heavy and slightly oversized P&S with extremely high image quality and you will not go far wrong.

I use Canon 60D when I am doing shows or events but, this is a little monster I carry with the adapter and I am able to snap my speed-light, canon lenses and take pretty impressive photos. You'll hear people complain about battery life and slowness, my recommendation, get an extra battery for $ bucks.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I am not a professional photographer but want to take professional lookin photos of my baby. This is the perfect camera for that. The cost is minimal when you consider how much you will save and can do with this sturdy, little camera.
The body is solid but it is lightweight and is hardly noticible in my diaper bag.
I have already experimented with several modes, and find the menus and touch screen very easy to operate.
I could not be more pleased with the M.

I bought this for my 18th birthday because I have wanted to get a good camera but have never. For an armature like me it is a perfect match...easy to change settings. As the other comments have mentioned the slowness of the auto focus, I found it to be plenty fast for everyday shooting.
I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone who wants to take great quality photos and a easy to use camera!

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

    USES: Family photos and video, photos and video for Social media & blogging (connect to iPhone with a wifi-SD card), product photography with studio strobe lights. To replace my older Canon Rebel xti, I debated getting a new Canon SL1 or the EOS M. I researched both and chose the EOS-M system for a few reasons: The price was excellent— we could get a whole EOS-M system for less than the price of the SL1, and for much less than comparable mirrorless systems. The convenient size was a big factor—we had long since left our DSLR at home on most trips, instead using our iPhones. The EOS M allows us to have DSLR quality pics and video without lugging a big DSLR around. It is truly portable, especially with the EF-M 22mm lens, which goes everywhere with me.The quality: the picture quality and video is amazing, with the same APS-C sensor, processor and shutter components as many of Canon's DSLRs. (A larger sensor than the four-thirds sensors of other mirrorless cameras). The build quality is very solid. It has a nice weight to it; it doesn't feel flimsy like a point and shoot. The EOS M lenses are also very well built and sharp. The EF-M 22mm lens is superb in low light.The LCD interface is very useable, and customizable. Has excellent Canon flash controls. The LCD resolution is excellent and it is plenty useable in sunlight.Cons:The autofocus is not quite as crisp as a the Canon DSLRs, but it is perfectly usable, with several different modes for different applications. I use it to photograph my two active children and it keeps up fine. When using Studio Strobes, or any Manual tethered flash, the "Exposure Simulation" mode will remain on, resulting in a darkened LCD. It brightens for a second when you half-press the shutter autofocus, but since there is no way to turn off "Exposure Simulation" and the camera has no viewfinder, it is basically makes the camera unusable with manual flashes. I found on a forum that if you use an ETTL flash controller, it overrides this glitch, so I invested in a set of Yongnuo ETTL Wireless Flash Controllers and they work great. The YN622C-TX is amazing, and it works seamlessly with the EOS-M's internal menu. (Why B&H doesn't carry Yongnuo, I don't understand). For some reason, when using Canon Speedlites, the AF-assist light on the external Flash won't work. The EOS-M's AF-assist light still works, but I found no way to activate the external AF-assist light. Battery life is relatively short, (probably because of the large LCD). It helps to turn off the continuous servo-AF, but you should have a spare battery charged and ready.Bottomline:This is an amazing camera for the size and price. It won't replace a solid DSLR for a professional shooter, but it could serve as a backup or travel camera. For a non-pro enthusiast, it is an excellent choice. In the end, a camera is only useful if you have it with you and this camera goes everywhere. Gear: EOS-M with EF-M 22mm lens; EF-M 18-55mm IS STM lens, Canon Speedlite, 270exII; Canon Speedlight 420ex; Yongnuo YN622C E-TTL Wireless Flash Transceivers, Yongnuo YN622C-TX E-TTL Wireless Flash Controller;

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

Handy small camera with image quality equivalent to a DSLR (since it uses the exact same sensor and processing).
It would be nice if there were some sort of wrist strap to use rather than the provided neck strap. A pocket size camera with a large neck strap is no longer pocket sized.
It would be super nice if the camera did not shut completely off but just go to sleep like Canon DSLRs do.
I purchased the camera with the 22 mm lens. That is a very nice, small combination. Great little lens.
This is not an action camera but with some preplanning / prefocusing, you can sometimes capture action.

Very well made camera with fantastic image quality! It makes a perfect backup camera when I do not want to haul my 5D MkII with me. The AF speed is ok for what I do. The camera works very well with Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 IS, but the lens looks big on tiny EOS M body. You need adapter for EF lenses. I tested the EF-M 22mm f/2 lens against Canon 16-35mm f/4 IS, and I was shocked that this little lens stood its own against a professional lens. Just take a look at the attached photos.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I bought this camera a couple years after release, despite the "lukewarm" reputation it garnered.

Is the autofocus the best? No. Would I recommend this camera as your primary? No.

But, as an owner of a Canon 6D, I can safely say this is the best secondary camera I could hope for. With an adapter, I'll be able to natively use all my lenses on this smaller body. Until that time, with the 22mm f/2 lens, I can say this: The best camera is the one you've got with you.

The EOS M is small enough to sit in my jacket pocket without too much fuss. Because of that, I'm able to carry pretty remarkable photo quality with me wherever I go. The camera is also small enough that when I do have it out, people don't view it with the same hesitation they do with my full-frame camera.

On the video side, it's the same quality I've come to expect from Canon. However, what surprised me most was pairing the footage in a multicam setup with my 6D. At similar settings, the video from both cameras was close enough to be edited together in a way that works with my workflow.

Overall, I'd say the EOS M had a rocky start that doomed this model to obscurity, but the time is ripe to get a capable MILC camera for a modest cost that has native (almost) lens compatibility.

Comments about EOS-M Mirrorless Digital Camera with EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Lens - Black:

I bought this camera as a way to get better at making films. The APS-C sensor size is really close to Super 35mm film, which means the FOV on my lens is close to that of a cinema camera, and this camera has the ability to run Magic Lantern for even more video recording features. Additionally, the kit lens is superb, although it lacks hard stops for focus or focus marks. The best part about this camera? Pay $ for an adapter and you can use any old lens you want because the camera is mirrorless. At $ it is a steal. Two major cons: Can't monitor audio, and the Auto Focus is slow (but I use manual focus). The battery also doesn't last as long as it should, but you can get better ones for $.
