Comments about LaCie Minimus USB 3.0 (3TB):
I use mine with a macbook pro USB 2.0 running OX 10.6.8 and it works perfectly. I've been storing files on it, along with running Time Machine Backups from the Mac. No problems. It is compact, but heavy. The best part is that the original box is small and it works great for transporting it.

Good an solid product but due to the fact that you need to manually power it on it is not suitable as target for automatic backups and which was the reason for returning it in exchange for a WD Elements disk. LaCie has has a great support who in fortunately was not able to help me.

I'm not sure about all the applications that come with the drive are neccessary. Install and setup were easy and quick. This is my second Minimus drive and I love them both. Now if they only had a 6TB drive that would be super.

I'm on a Mac, and with this drive, and all you need to do is simply plug it in, reformat it, and it works. I'm currently using it as an external system disc until my new computer gets here, and it's speedy and reliable.
