The VT1601LED 16" LED Premium HDTV Display from Viewsonic provides beautiful high-definition images in 1366 x 768 resolution. It's hard to find a small monitor made by a recognizable vendor. This one, attached via HDMI to a mac mini that runs home automation is ideal for sitting on a shelf in the equipment closet to be activated occasionally for system maintenance. The only minus so far is the inability to tilt the stand, but for the price, propping up the base to get the correct viewing angle is perfectly acceptable.

I was replacing a 10 yr old 10" sharp lcd tv I have used next to my computer. I wanted something small to fit in my hutch area. It is VERY hard to find a name brand quality small tv. This one had so many features I wanted, plenty of input/outputs,(hdmi) hd 1080i. I had read negative reviews about it. One person said it had no controls for the color, brightness, etc. Not true, it's all there. The only thing that is slightly true is viewing at an angle is not the best.Neither are the others in this size category. But I have mine on a small tilting arm that I can tilt any way I want.. and I just love this Viewsonic HDTV. It has a very nice picture. If you need something under 19" I would highly recommend this.

I use this TV in my bathroom where I have no cable outlets. I use the AV mode of the TV to connect to a Video Sender (receiver). In this way I can receive the TV program from a nearby bedroom in the house where the cable box (and TV cable) and Video Sender is located. Picture is great and sound is okay, just as they would be in my bedroom. And by just changing the channel of my Video Sender, the TV will now display all 9 of my video security cameras around the house. Its ability to receive ordinary over-the-air broadcast TV channels is an extra plus in case of natural emergencies is a plus too. Sound is adequate. Don't expect great sound from ANY small TV's built-in speakers.

Excellent service, as usual, from B&H. Received unit on time, in perfect condition. The TV, used with a treadmill, was easy to install and has excellent picture quality. Unfortunately, DirecTV doesn't have a code to control all of the remote functions.
