When I walked into B&H with the intention of purchasing a new camera bag, I did not expect to come out the door with this. Honestly I was sceptical about this backpack as I'm more comfortable with messenger bag and shoulder strapped bags, but I'm satisfacted with having this bag. For $[$], you have something that can easily hold a DSLR and a Camcorder along with a 70-300mm lens and other countless accessories. There's even two straps under the bag to hold a tripod!I will have to note that when wearing the backpack, it felt awkward as the bag tends to sag due to length of the bag, however this can be overlooked as I typically wear messenger bags on a daily basis.

This backpack has all the holders and zippers you are expecting with one major flaw. Despite coming from a brand that is known for holding up, this backpack consistently splits open at each zipper and does not fit comfortably.

Trusting too much of your gear in this pack is one of the most dangerous things you can do. Right now I have 3 lenses and a camera in the backpack as typically laid out, but after a nice walk or hike I will turn to notice the zippers are splitting open.

Other than this one major flaw, the pack is well designed. Every spacer adapts inside the bag such that you can customize the bag for your lenses and gear configuration.

Overall I recommend this product for the photo enthusiast and not a professional

Comments about Ruggard Outrigger 45 Backpack:

This Outrigger 45 Backpack by Ruggard is definitely the gear bag for your on the go needs. It can hold up to two dslr cameras and four lens or in my case, one dslr camera, three lens, portable digital audio recorder and more. In the future I plan to get or have more lens and other equipment for my shooting needs and I definitely will be needing a bigger size soon.

Comments about Ruggard Outrigger 45 Backpack:

The product has a good quality and the space is sufficient for the gears. But it would be better if it had a chamber for the laptop. So, guys remember, it does not have Laptop Compartment.

Ligth, cheap and neat on your back. It´s perfect as a starter holding the most equipement a serious freetime photographer can wish for. Id est 3-4 lenses, flash, one or two bodies. Raincover included, folds from underneath. You can strap your tripod to the bottom. It´s just so easy to grap the pack knowing it´s all there.

          It's pretty lightweight too.

I thought this was just another bag. It is made of much better quality materials than I thought it would be. Very light weight and durable. This bag has all the "good stuff" without the high price. If you are looking for a nice light weight quality bag, this is the one to buy.

This bag came with my camera, I expected it to be hokey, and figured I would never use it. I was very wrong, it is quite nice, several pockets, plus a divided camera compartment with velcro spacers you can move around. I have carried my 7100, 50/500 lens, macro lens, spare batteries, filters, and various other paraphernalia in the bag. Sturdy, very nice bag.

I got this camera in the D610 body package, and thank goodness it was free! The bag fits all of my gear (2 bodies, 4 lenses, + accessories), but it looks and feels so awkward when wearing it! The pack doesn't sit well on the back, and the shape is very odd and square. I would NOT recommend this to a friend.

I can pack my Nikon D7100 with its lens in place, the flash, charger, and 3 additional lenses all quite comfortably. There are slots for everything-extra SD cards, iPad, and many miscellaneous pockets. I threw out my old, more expensive back pack.

This is a very good bag and it feels well made. It has lots of protections and space in it. I really like the design. Small, but has a lot of room to hold cameras and lenses.

Nice construction. Holds up to abuse pretty well. Plenty of pockets to hold everything and the tripod straps are handy. I especially loved being surprised by the rain cover.

I was looking for a medium sized backpack to fit one camera body and just a couple of lenses and small accessories. This was a little bit bigger than I expected from looking at the pictures of the product. I am a petite girl, so this backpack basically looks like the size of a typical backpack (like a Jansport backpack) on my back. It serves its purpose as a camera backpack very well, regardless. I like the velcro compartments that can be adjusted to your needs.

This is a great bag for carrying all your photo gear. But the zipper on this thing is plastic and feels very cheap. I have to amke sure nothing is bulging out, because I'm worried the zipper will snap. Still, for the price, this is a really good bag.

I found it convenient for larger lens. With D200 or D3000 ok without added battery additions (with top heavy).
