The black Squadron RSS II Backpack from OGIO contains enough space to carry all your business essentials with room to spare for collateral material. The ballistic polyester pack is rated to hold your 15" laptop in its own dedicated, well-protected, zippered compartment as well as an additional iPad or tablet in a second separate padded pocket. There's also a fleece-lined pocket for computer accessories such as a mouse. If you don't want to store a mouse, it's large enough to hold a digital camera. All in all, this relatively lightweight pack can get you up and out of your home or office prepared to meet the day's challenges. The polyester exterior is balanced with OGIO's iFom (Integrated Foam Tech) integrated panels that cushion and separate your valuables, keeping them safe from bumps and incidental contact.

The main zippered compartment holds your files, documents or loose leaf and also contains a zippered organization panel for your pens, note pads and business cards. This pocket also has a separate small zippered panel for small items such as a DVD.

Carrying the Squadron RSS 11 is comfortable. The fully adjustable, foam shoulder straps are constructed to give you maximum ease while on the go. An adjustable sternum strap is provided for extra balance control. The back panel, probably the most important comfort feature of any pack, is designed to keep you cool while traveling. For traveling convenience, a zippered vertical stash pocket is located on one strap for your smartphone. The top of the pack contains a soft neoprene grab handle for those moments when you just need to grab the pack and move quickly such as getting out of your car or retrieving it from your closet.

It's the little extras that go towards making this pack even more versatile. A side zippered stash pocket and dual side water bottle pockets eliminate the need of having to remove the entire pack to relax or gain access to something you need quickly. A built-in key ring means you won't have to search through the entire depths of the pack when you get home and want to unload. OGIO has also integrated utility straps with metal buckles with which you can attach your jacket if it gets too hot while moving.

The Squadron RSS II is a moderately priced, lightweight backpack that maximizes its footprint when it comes to storage capacity. It is backed by OGIO's limited lifetime warranty.

Comments about OGIO Squadron RSS II Backpack (Black):

This is actually the second Ogio bag I've owned, as I love how functional the bags are. Plus they look great. I was hesitant to buy another, however, because my first one (a "Mastermind" pack) wasn't made out of the best materials and blew apart. Twice. This bag, The Squadron RSS II, is a totally different story. It looks great, and feels incredibly sturdy. It has plenty of room for everything that I might need - I lug around a laptop and a bunch of other items for school and work. I absolutely adore this bag and would recommend it to anybody looking for a high-quality backpack with great laptop protection and plenty of space. B&H gave me an unrivaled low price, too, so I couldn't help but buy it.

Comments about OGIO Squadron RSS II Backpack (Black):

I did my homework, researching the most protective laptop backpacks and I was convinced that this one would fit my needs, and those of my son who is heading off to college this August. I intended to buy the backpack only for my son, but when I learned B&H's low price, I bought one for myself, as well. I was not disappointed. The backpack is strong and roomy. For me, it will be the perfect carry-on bag, providing excellent protection for my laptop and limited camera gear that I will carry in it to Europe later this year.

Comments about OGIO Squadron RSS II Backpack (Black):

This is a really well made back that looks great. It has plenty of pockets and spots to put everything to remain well organised no matter what the situation. the suspension laptop pocket is awesome, and really well padded. there's an additional iPad pocket and padded pocket up the top for glasses/headphones. It's extraordinarily comfortable to wear. I use it while walking to work and it doesn't make my back particularly hot even after several kilometres of reasonably fast walking, it's certainly cooler on the back than some backpacks I've carried. The zips seem really well made and I think should last for a long time. My last Ogio bag lasted well and looked good until accidentally destroyed, and I'm sure this one will be the same (hopefully for longer :-/ )On the down side, because of all the padded pockets, the main compartment only just fits a pair of shoes, shirt, pants, lunch and a small umbrella. It's certainly not tiny, but also not cavernous. There's also a couple of buckles on the back that don't seem to do anything, maybe to hold a bike helmet? but don't seem to be functional. All in all a great bag, and I'd even to so far as to say good value due to how long it will last. I'd also expect it to be this good for the price :-)

Comments about OGIO Squadron RSS II Backpack (Black):

Purchased this bag to protect various electronics while traveling. I've stored a 15" MacBook Pro with all it's accessories, some reading materials, iPad with cover, a camera and its accessories, and a change of clothes + shoes with no problem and several of the smaller pockets left empty. Note that the inner laptop sleeve IS NOT removable in this version.

Haven't tested the drink pocket but found it odd that it's a zip-close and not elastic. The phone pocket is nice for dry-weather carrying of most phones (iPhone 4 fits fine) but I doubt it accommodates larger Samsungs.

Bottom line: Great for storing lots of gadgets + computer and other light travel supplies. Don't expect to camp with it, though.
