The purple/olive green 6 Million Dollar Home Bag from Crumpler is slightly larger than their 5 Million Dollar Home Bag but still remains a get-around shoulder bag designed to hold a standard DSLR camera and lenses plus accessories like an extra battery and memory cards. The tough 900-Denier exterior fabric is water-resistant and is complimented by a brushed padded nylon interior that is constructed not to hurt the finish of your equipment. The inside of the bag can be configured by using the movable touch fastened dividers.

The bag is held in shape by its EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) laminated base while the entire bag is protected by a large front flap that is secured with rugged tri-glide buckles. The adjustable, wide 50mm (2") shoulder strap with its anti-slip pad or the EVA and ergonomically shaped padded carry handle make toting it around comfortable. For added functionality, the touch fasteners have been designed to be silent by utilizing a silencer flap on the underside that is designed not to attract attention when you open the bag in public. No more of that "ripping" sound when the touch fasteners are engaged. As an added feature, the 6 Million Dollar Home Bag gives you a pair of side accessory loops on which you can attach other photo gear - perhaps a cleaning cloth, media card holder or mini tripod.

There are two extra side stuff pockets that you'll appreciate since you will not have to open the entire bag to reach their contents. For all sorts of smaller accessories, there's an additional internal zippered mesh pocket. This is a rugged street bag created to meet the demands of people who need a durable shoulder bag that holds your gear with a maximum of protection.

Touch Fastener Silencer
Lurking behind the bag's gi-normous touch fastened flap is an equally large touch fastener silencer flap. Pull it out. Press it in position. Open and close on the QT, then lock down with the compression straps
Flexible, Accessible Space
The main compartment features two configurable touch fastened and brushed padded nylon dividers, plus a separate zippered mesh pocket. The dual zone front pocket features gusseted sides. You can access the side stuff pockets without even opening the bag
Wide, Adjustable Shoulder Strap
The more gear you carry, the more you need a wide shoulder strap with an anti-slip shoulder pad to distribute its weight - and the more you'll appreciate the 6 Million Dollar Home's soft but strong 50mm (2.0") flamed polypropylene strap webbing. Complete with tri-glide buckle system
Carry Handle
EVA foam provides excellent comfort. It's shaped to fit your hand and fingers for ease of transport
Accessory Loops
The reinforced side accessory loops lets you attach other photo gadgetry for instant access
Waterproofing
Be it rain, hail, sleet, snow, beer or mixed drinks, the bag's 900D outer is designed to weather the storm and keep your equipment dry
Anti-Abrasive Surface
The 900D outer and brushed padded nylon interior combine phenomenal strength with exceptional smoothness and malleability. Your clothes don't catch and your equipment won't get scratched
Structural Integrity
The polyethylene-EVA foam laminate base insert ensures the bag holds its shape even when loaded - while the curved flap keeps everything under cover

I was in search for a shoulder bag which is lightweight, compact and still has the space to hold a large DSLR and at least one extra professional zoom lens and several accessoires. Furthermore I wanted a bag which does not look like a photobag. The 6 Million Dollar Home is all that. The bag is very well made, both stitching, padding and Velcro are of excellent quality. Both belt and belt padding are easily adjustable. Even for a not so tall person like me the bag follows my hip good.
The outsight material is although not soft but flexible making it comfortable to carry. This bag is quite minimalsitic and not a pocket and zipper heaven. It has 2 side pockets and a front pocket with a smaller zippered pocket. Equipent is good reachable, offering the posibility to lock the bag or just close it with the strong quality velcro. The height of the bag allows you to put your camera in horizontal or vertical position, making it easy and quick to reach.
The main compartment of the bag is well made and the easy adjustable padding gives excellent protection. The bag has some downsides. The belt padding has to be tide connected otherwise the belt will twist around inside the padding. Although the material of the bag is water resistant, the bag is not water proof. The sides of the bag are at the top not sealed of, because of the type of bag. I used this bag already several times in nasty rainy conditions, equipment kept dry, however I think in extreme windy and wet conditions some wetness can come through.

In short: a well made easy adjustable compact but spacious camera bag which doesn’t look like one.

(What fits in my bag: Nikon D3 or D300 with 24-70 f/2.8 lenshood reversed in vertical position, a nikkor 70-200mm VR f/2.8G with reversed lenshood in vertical position. A SB-800 flash unit. Extra batteries for flash, cleaning kit, CF cards and several other small things)

This bag is wonderfully crafted. Tons of padding as well. I eventually returned this because it was much smaller than I expected. I ended up trading it for the 7 million dollar home. However if you have say 3 lenses, a camera, flash and some accessories this should more than suffice. Again great bag for the price.!

Comments about 6 Million Dollar Home Bag (Black/Black):

I've been a Domke and Billingham user, but for my my micro-43 system what I had didn't quite work. When I found the Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Home, especially at [$], I had to give it a shot. Fits my kit great, well built bag. Only complaint is the dividers are a bit stiff. I highly recommend this bag, especially at the price I paid!

Comments about 6 Million Dollar Home Bag (Black/Black):

I ordered one with black color, it looks nice for a camera bag and seems to have good protection. But the dividers are not as plush as those I have used with other brands. In terms of functionality and protection, it might not be a problem. Overall, the construction of the bag is great. My only complaint is the dividers that they give you to customize the interior are a little stiff.

Dimension wise, it fits very well for my SONY A7 Mk2 with 24-70 f4 attached and HVLF60M. I put the camera facing down in the middle compartment and the flash light in its case on the side. The bag is just deep enough for both of them. And I still have one compartment left for other small items.

Comments about 6 Million Dollar Home Bag (Black/Black):

Had this for 4 weeks now, holds my Canon 5D with 50mm Zeiss lens, 70-200 f2.8L with hood reversed on lens, and 17-40mm with a little room to spare, so lens choices could be different. Also room in front for cards and batteries, and the extra straps for carrying a tripod seem to work, but my tripods are massive so I don't do that with them much.

All around very pleased with the bag and price point. You get what you pay for!

Originally ordered a much larger Crumpler, just wasn't for me. Glad when this arrived, it is just the right size for walking around, can carry it everywhere and not worry about being conspicuous, if I don't want to.

For a great review on the 6 million dollar bag, search for DigitalRevTV and they have a really snarky but high stakes review of the bag and a few similar competitors. 6 million fares very well, especially in the egg test :-)

Stylish bag with some nice features. Not crazy about the dividers. Seems a little flimsy without the padding. Room for a D70 plus a couple of lenses though.

Comments about 6 Million Dollar Home Bag (Black/Black):

This bag is spacious and versatile. I use it for my medium format film kit (one body with prism finder, two backs, film winder, light meter), but it can be easily configurable for a full frame DSLR with two or three lenses. It's comfortable to carry, and it does not scream camera bag. The build quality is what you would expect from Crumpler.

I needed camera bug that will have space for DSLR + two lenses and flash.
Didn't want something bulky. This bug looks very nice lake a casual bug and is comfortable.
I like this bug a lot. The dividers are not padded like the other bugs I have from Tamrac. But having thin dividers is space saving.

Comments about 6 Million Dollar Home Bag (Black/Black):

After reading a lot of reviews I bought the Crumpler Six Million Dollar Home in black (the version with a red interior). One reason to choose this bag is that it does not scream "camera bag!" while walking around. Price influenced me, too. When the bag went on sale for $ it was a much easier choice for me! So I bought a larger bag for travel and the 6MDH for use closer to home. Some reviewers complain the padded inserts are too stiff. They are very rigid but moveable and offer great protection to gear. If I wanted to I could replace some of the dividers with softer ones from an older bag. But the thinner dividers offer protection and versatility in configuring the MDH6. The bag easily accommodates a Nikon D7100, Tokina 11-16mm, Nikon 18-200mm lens, Nikon SB-700 flash, filters, and extra batteries. The D7100 rests in the bag with the Tokina attached. I could fit a third lens, such as a 35mm, in the main compartment and a tripod with the exterior straps. This bag is a good size for the kit I have. The Crumpler bag looks good, is made with quality materials and seems very durable.

After two long trips to Asia wth a Lowepro Exchange Messenger (with Olympus PEN E-P2 + 2 lenses), I got this as a replacement. The compact Lowepro stood up well to even tropical monsoon rain, but was too tight when I decided to carry a Pentx K-5 plus a Ricoh GR D IV. This Crumpler is very well made indeed, a cut above Lowepro in interior and exterior materials. To be fair though, Lowepros are very tough and I still use at least a half-dozen of them. The main difference I see is, Crumpler's interior inserts and dividers are much stiffer than Lowepro's, which is good if you think your gear will take a bashing. So when I travel again, I'll be reaching for this bag--less to worry when your gear is well protected. Size-wise, it'll fit one APS-C DSLR body (have not tried with grip) plus two short zoom lenses and a Metz 50/52 flash.

I did quite a bit of research before buying this bag and it paid off. I have plenty of room for dslr, 2 lenses, charger, flash, etc. And I can strap on a light tripod. It is quiet to open and close. The way the top closes helps to keep out rain, important where I live. I got a great deal on the price too.

I bought this for a vacation to New York City. Despite it's small size, the bag held a prosumer body, two fast zoom lenses, and a flash with ease. The bag isn't perfect, though. I'd prefer a better seal on the main flap, or some sort of integrated weather cover. It snowed on my and I was constantly worried my gear might get wet in the bag. Also, the tripod straps aren't well thought out.

Great bag, more suitable for mirrorless cameras which I have so it worked out great. Access to gear can take some getting use to but definitely would recommend

Bag is sort of stiff due to the inserts - maybe I can reconfigure them to be more flexible. My Think Pro Retrospective is very flexible, in contrast. Probably would prefer something between the two better. Bag is well constructed and nice bright red inside (but my Pentax K-50 is red, too, so the contrast value is lost!!)

The bag fits my Nikon D800 with 24-70/2.8 attached (reversed hood), 70-200/4 and 16/2.8 FE. That's my regular travel package. So far I have no complains. Will see how it behaves in January at my trip to Nevada.

Comments about 6 Million Dollar Home Bag (Black/Black):

I own the 5MDH bag, love this bag and has served me well. However it is now small for my needs, so I upgraded to a slight larger bag, i can carry my 7D, canon 17-55 2.8, flash, flash diffuser and sigma 30mm lens with space for more. IT also comes with tripod straps which my previous bag didn't have.

The bag is very well padded and well thought of design wise.

One thing i would like is a zipped mesh like my smaller bag.

I can't fault this bag and am very happy with this purchase.

Works well with both my Nikon aps-c and Oly m4/3 cameras and lenses. I use this bag for storage and transport and don't use it to walk around with equipment. For transport its fine, lots of padding. For walking around too much padding and too bulky. When walking I carry minimum gear and don't need much in the way of a bag.Construction is first rate. Sturdy straps, shoulder pad included. Fasteners should last forever. As stated before a lot of firm padding, not flexible.Comes with an assortment of dividers, stick to interior with velcro.Could use a few more pockets for small parts.Overall I would buy again.
