The Motorola Talkabout MT352R 2-Way Radio (Pair) is a high-quality radio set that's ideal for hunting, camping, hiking, or any situation—outdoor or indoor—in which two-way communication is required. The radios have a range of up to 35 miles and offer 22 channel choices. They also feature a Priority Scan feature that lets you quickly find an open channel or find the channel of somebody in your party who has accidently switched channels.

The MT352 radios are durable and dust resistant. Their weatherproof design is built to withstand snow and rain. Each has a built-in flashlight, provides access to NOAA weather channels, and is equipped with an Emergency Alert feature that allows you to signal the others in your group if you need assistance.

The Push-to-Talk feature offers two power options for transmitting. When maximum power is needed, press Push-to-Talk high, which enables a power boost. If normal power will suffice, press Push-to-Talk Low. By not using the maximum power except when necessary, you're able to extend battery life.

Hands free operation is possible using the iVox feature (or the Vox feature if you're using a headset or other accessory). When it's enabled, the radio automatically transmits whenever you speak into the internal mic.

Each radio is powered by an included NiMH rechargeable battery pack. The pack offers up to 15 hours on a single charge, which is about twice as long as you'd get from a standard battery pack. You can also use 3 AA batteries, which provide similar battery life. A dual wall adapter is included for charging, and connects to the radios via their mini-USB jacks. An FCC operating license is required.

Extended-Life Batteries
Enjoy hours of uninterrupted outdoor activities. The MT series radios provide maximum battery life in a small package and are designed to withstand hours of extended usage providing users with up to 15 hrs of talk time.
Weatherproof
With an IP-54 rating (dust/splashproof from any direction), the MT series flaunts its weatherproof ID design making it ideal for protection not only from dust, but from wet weather conditions such as snow or rain splashes. Its emergency alert feature, built-in LED flashlight, and NOAA weather alert channels (not available in some areas) provide a total emergency preparedness communication solution.
Talkabout Clear
Boasting a high-efficiency class D amplifier, the MT series radio delivers enhanced sound quality by reducing distortion at high volumes.
Extra Power When You Need it Most
Push-To-Talk Power Boost, when activated, allows you to extend the transmission range by increasing the transmitter power output while saving battery life when no power boost is necessary.
Hands Free Communication
When you are hiking up a steep mountain trail, you need to keep your hands free to brace the rocky terrain. With iVOX acting like a speakerphone and allowing hands-free communication, you can keep on moving without stopping to answer a call.
Easy Charge
Charge the NiMH rechargeable battery pack using one of the two included adapters: One charges a single radio, and the other charges two at a time. You can also use standard alkaline batteries. Three other charging options are available: the mini-USB car charger, and other charger options are available.
Silent Signals
The VibraCall silent vibrating ringer is especially useful for locations where ringing can be intrusive. This feature is also great when noise from a sporting event would drown out your ring tone.
Eco Smart
The large-scale incorporation of energy efficient chargers benefits the planet both economically and environmentally. The MT series does its part by using the latest technological design to produce a high-efficiency wall adaptor that consumes only 0.5W of power during idle conditions.

Comments about Motorola Talkabout MT352R 2-Way Radio (Pair):

These radios feel solid. I like that they have two (high and low) transmission settings so you can conserve battery power when you're dealing with closer ranges. The built in flash-light came in handy, and the vibrate feature is cool!

Comments about Motorola Talkabout MT352R 2-Way Radio (Pair):

I intent to use this little guys for camping, hiking and fishing. They work well at reasonable distances a mile or so, the signal is clear at this distance with limited obsticals. I haven't tried the line of sight signal strength at the greater distances, if I can get them to work at greater distances that will be great but I am not counting on them for that.

Comments about Motorola Talkabout MT352R 2-Way Radio (Pair):

These are good for what they are but, I think all of the 2-way radio companies could produce a better product. I had to modify the rechargeable batteries so they would maintain a connection when the radio was shaken. After this modification they work great.
