The black Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag from Tenba provides you with a tool to get up and out the door with everything you need for your photo or video gig. With its capacity to hold your two DSLRs, 6-8 lenses (up to a 400mm f/2.8 or 500mm f/4), audio gear such as shotgun mics, recorder and phones, it's also rated to hold a larger video camera such as a RED (EPIC, Scarlet), Canon C300 or a Sony.

The main compartment comes with padded dividers to configure the interior to suit your gear needs. The bag also leaves room for plenty of accessories that are readily retrievable since the bag is designed for the working pro who can't afford to waste time. Few photographers or videographers leave home without a computer and the Roadie II has room for your 15" laptop in a rear padded sleeve. This sleeve makes airport screening quite convenient.

The bag is opened via its wide mouth top zippered opening that gives you complete and easy access to all your gear. One of the best features of this bag is the removable audio tray that holds your shotgun mic, lav and audio recorder. No need to fumble through the bottom of the bag for gear that is needed ASAP. This tray can be completely removed thereby giving you, basically, an empty bag that can be used to hold a larger video camera, rails, matte box and other pertinent equipment. When the tray is removed, matte boxes and rails can be left on your camera saving you time when you arrive at your gig.

The bag is made from a tough weather-resistant 1680D ballistic nylon and complemented by a soft tricot interior that won't mar the fine finish of your gear. The bottom panel has been waterproofed to guard the bag in case it needs to be set on the ground. Heavy-duty loops on the sides are provided for attaching optional pouches, carabiners, or keys. A front accessory compartment is for the small stuff you always need-cables, hard drives and filters. Large zippered dual side compartments hold batteries, chargers, cables and other accessories.

Carrying the Roadie II is made simple using its adjustable, removable and padded shoulder strap with high-density foam or dual top carry handles. A trolley sleeve is also incorporated on the back. This allows you to thread the Roadie over your optional luggage cart-a real benefit when traveling with heavy loads or trying to navigate through crowds or airports.

Included with the Roadie II is a handy rain cover and 10 pocket media wallet for SD and CF cards. For thirst, Tenba has provided collapsible water bottle holder since a day in the field doesn't always leave you time to get to a store for refreshments. When the weather turns against you, simply deploy the included rain cover for maximum bag protection.

The Roadie II Shoulder Bag weighs in at only 5.5 lb which is not much considering everything it's designed to hold. This bag is made by Tenba, a world recognized company in the production of bags and cases for pro and amateur use. It's backed by their 5-year warranty.

Removable Audio Gear Tray
A top audio tray allows quick access to audio gear and accessories like headphones, lav and shotgun mics, recorders and anything else that you need to get at easily. Independent side handles and zippered top cover allow the audio tray to be removed from the bag and used separately, or removed when the full height of the bag interior is needed for large camera rigs and full-size video cameras with matte boxes, follow focus knobs, rails
Built-in Protected Laptop Storage
A rear padded sleeve protects a laptop up to 15" and is quick and easy to open at airport security
Huge, Unobstructed Opening
Allows rails, matte boxes, follow focus knobs and monitors to stay mounted in the bag
Durability and Weather Resistance
The bag is weather-proof coated 1680D ballistic nylon exterior, a brushed tricot interior, YKK zippers, welded steel D-rings and heavily-reinforced stitching
Waterproof Bottom Panel
Keeps the bag dry and protected if you have to put it down on a wet surface
Versatile Interior with Adjustable Dividers
The main camera compartment includes a versatile padded divider kit that can be customized for both DSLRs and larger video camera systems
Side Accessory Compartments
Large zippered compartments on both sides of the bag provide storage for batteries, chargers, cables and other accessories
Hypalon Accessory Loops
Heavy-duty, Hypalon (polyethylene synthetic rubber) loops on the sides of the bag provide mounting points for accessory pouches, carabiners, keys
Rear Trolley Sleeve
Allows the bag to slide over the extended handle of a rolling suitcase or equipment case for easy transport through the airport
Heavy-Duty, Padded Shoulder Strap
Giant, padded shoulder strap provides comfort and support when carrying large camera systems. High-density foam padding won't compress or break down over time or with heavy use, and oversized clips and welded steel D-rings ensure a secure connection to the bag

Comments about Tenba Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag (Black):

This is a great bag for my Canon C100 for me. I wish it was just a little taller, perhaps 2.5 - 3 eanches. If that was the case, i would be able to place the camera on the bottom with the handle and the mic, and still place the audio compartment on top of the camera. I also think it would have been better to have a removable shelf like support for the audio case. I have to place a small soft towel on top of the camera and then drop the audio tray. You can currently place the assembeld camera on the bottom of the case but remove the audio case. That defeats the purpose of the entire case. Other then that I think Tenba created a very usable bag for the videographer in mind.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag (Black):

Let me start off by saying I love love love this bag. I bought this bag for two reasons I m traveling to Belize and needed a bag I could use without checking it in the airlines, and It needed to be spacious. This bag is great I can fit my c100, gh3, BMPCC, my lav set, a shotgun mic, my computer 3-4 lenses, a zoom recorder, a ninja recorder and a dozen sd cards. And it all fits in this one bag can you say convenient. The only thing stopping this product from being 5 stars is man I wish it had wheels can be tiresome to carry it on the shoulder for very long periods of time. All and all great product.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag (Black):

Tried this backpack out now for one year tomorrow. I think I have had at least ten backpacks previous to this Tenba.

Mellow manufacturer, are not seen a lot in media but they are selling great stuff! I use mine for a Canon 6D with 8 lenses, flashes, tripod and can still fit my MacBook PRO Retina 15 with no problems as well as two pair of headphones.

After some month you develop a system where to put things and then it just works. This backpack is swallowing just about everything. Extremely high quality materials and zippers. The only negative is that is becomes heavy because of the size but it does not matter since the way it is constructed it is VERY comfortable to wear.

One very smart feature is that you open it from the back so no thief's can get to your expensive stuff easy.

HIGLY RECOMMENDED if you can afford it. Worth EVERY cent.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag (Black):

This wonderfully designed shoulder bag not only serves as the best DSLR travel bag when on the road but it is uniquely configured so as to be a virtual stable for my cameras and attendant gear when at home.

In designing the Roadie II Tenba created a bag that very easily will hold two DSLRs, at least six to eight lenses along with a host of the associated gear such as flashes, battery chargers, filters and the like and it still won't be full.

While at the higher end as far as price is concerned I would only replace it with another Tenba product.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag (Black):

I was very hesitant to go back to a bag after years of using Pelican for transporting all of my gear. Normally, I would fly with at least 3 hard cases (large cases, mind you). It was cumbersome and though I organized my gear well, going from case to case was a time suck and a drag.

          Now comes the Roadie II.

I have consolidated the contents of those three cases - and have added a Canon c300 and additional lens - into this one bag.

Four lenses, Canon c300, baseplate, rods, follow focus, additional monitor, shotgun mic, lav kit, cables, tape, media, extra hardware, iPad/or Laptop, ND filters, chargers, and a Canon 7D... all in one bag.

Sure, it's heavy as hell, but there's only one of them and it's so much more wieldy than three hard cases. It flies as carry on as well, so you never have to worry about the airlines sending your gear on a vacation without you.

Comments about Tenba Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag (Black):

Great design with a plethora of pockets and areas to customize the bag. I am personally using this bag with my canon c100 camera. This bag fits a ton of equipment, comfortably and efficiently. Everything within reach, padded, and protected. I currently have the following items ALL IN THIS SINGLE BAG:

              1) Canon C100 Body w/24-105mm F4 lens
              2) Genus 4x4 Mattebox
              3) 16-35mm 2.8 L
              4) 70-200mm 2.8 L
              5) 85mm 1.8 EF
              6) Atomos Ninja 2 with all accesories, 2 hard drive caddies, power cable and docking station.
              7) SD card reader with various USB cables, firewire cables, etc.
              8) Sennheisser G3 wireless mic kit (receiver, transmitter and lav)
              9) Sennheisser ME 64 hypercardiod mic with K6 power module & Rycote Softie
              10) 25 foot XLR Cable
              11) Sennheisser Stick Mic
              12) 2 Cannon Batteries
              13) Canon battery Charger and cables
              14) SD Card hold with 10 SD cards
              15) Zacuto Z-Finder
              16) 6inch Magic arm to mount Atomos Ninja
              17) Two Screw Drivers

It is crazy to think I was able to fit all of this into this compact bag, but safe to say it all fits COMFORTABLY, and WELL PROTECTED, which is what you want when buying a professional bag that will house professional camera equipment and lenses.

As for durability, I can't comment much because I've only been using it in the field for about a month, but I can say that the material, zippers, pockets and padding are on par with many of the well known production bag companies such as Petrol and Porta Brace.

I did remove the "insert" that the bag includes, which would typically be used in a smaller camera configuration such as a DSLR, in which case the insert could be utilized to store small lenses and accessories. In my case, I removed the insert completely in order to store my larger sized Canon C100 camera in the main compartment with some of my larger items such as my lenses and zacuto z-finder.

If you are in the market for a very versatile, durable, compact and customizable bag for a small to mid sized camera, then this bag is DEFINITELY worth checking out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Please make sure dimensions are big enough for your particular camera, but unless you are working with a larger sized ENG Broadcast camera, or a fully rigged alexa, then this bag should be able to fit most small to mid sized cameras. SO FAR I LOVE THIS BAG!

Comments about Tenba Roadie II HDSLR/Video Shoulder Bag (Black):

My C100 has a Zacuto Studio Baseplate, a Wooden camera top cheese plate, off of which is mounted a Zacuto EVF (on a custom bracket). If I simply remove the Zacuto Grip Relocator from the rods, the camera with lens attached fits perfectly in this bag without any other disassembly! Great for a weird shaped camera like the Canon Cs. And I still have room for another lens in the bag as well as batteries etc in the side pockets.

The bag itself is extremely well made and thought out… I only wish they had a version with dividers designed specifically for the C100-C300, but with some imagination what's there is manageable.

I bought this bag for my Canon C100 to store it with the hand grip & audio handle attached. The bag is well built with lots of pockets & extra dividers for additional accessories. You can easily store two Canon C100 cameras fully assembled next to each other. Shoulder strap is comfortable & the outside side pockets are massive. Two things I would have liked is a hard bottom on the outside & side handles to easily grab the bag when loading. Overall this is an amazing bag with lots of space.

I've been using only for a short while so I haven't put it to use in the field yet. But It fits my C300 nicely in its basic assembled configuration.
