    Too much flex

Comments about Genustech Lower Bracket for G-SFOC:

I bought this new bracket to update my Genus Superior system. This one would make it easier to attach to my rig with large diameter cinema lenses in place (the original Superior bracket has clearance issues). With this new bracket, the fit is much better and it's very easy to take the unit on and off. However, using this unit results in way too much flex in the system (a LOT). If you look at the photo, you will se a small, silver bolt in the top-center of the horizontal/lower portion of the bracket. This small bolt is the only think that applies tension to the top bracket. Even when fully-tightened, there's too much flex when you turn the focus knob. It doesn't feel professional at all.
I would give it only one star, but it does have the benefit of fitting better. I suppose that with smaller diameter lenses, the flex would be less than with the large diameter cinema lenses I've been using. (the bracket would not have to be so far extended.)
