The Leaf Plus Amplified HDTV Indoor Antenna from Mohu provides 10 to 15 dB of additional gain to increase signal range and improve the quality and reliability of over-the-air HDTV signals. The Leaf Plus antenna is recommended for customers who live within about 50 miles (80 kilometers) of the broadcasting towers.
The Leaf Plus features a high gain, low noise state-of-the-art pHEMT amplifier. It is optimized for both UHF and VHF stations. The Leaf will receive VHF stations but it will not be able to receive them from as far away as the UHF band stations.
You can power the Leaf Plus through the Leaf's mini-USB connector or plug a USB cable directly into the USB port on your TV, if it has one. The advantage of doing this is eliminating parasitic power consumption when the amplifier isn't needed.
Lastly, in order for the Leaf to work properly, your TV needs to be digital ready. TV's labeled HD ready or HDTV monitors are not considered digital ready. Also, do not use the Leaf Plus outdoors. Both temperature and humidity will ruin the device.
- Leaf Plus Performance
- The Leaf Plus features a high gain, low noise state-of-the-art pHEMT amplifier. For channels that experience occasional dropouts or pixilation, the additional gain of the Leaf Plus will provide a far more reliable signal. It features the same razor thin design and high quality connectors as the Leaf
- Leaf Plus Technology
- The amplifier in the Leaf Plus provides 10-15 dB of gain across all TV channels and has the lowest noise figure possible. By placing the amplifier directly at the antenna, it minimizes noise and signal loss due to cable losses and maximize efficiency by matching the amplifier to the antenna
- USB Powering Option
- The Leaf Plus gives you a USB power injector at the end of the antenna cable to provide power to the amplifier in the antenna housing. This power injector uses a mini-USB connector. You can power the amplifier using the supplied power cube and USB cable or plug the USB cable into a USB port on your TV, if it has one. The advantage of doing this is that the amplifier will only be powered when the TV is turned on, eliminating parasitic power consumption when the amplifier isn't needed
- Leaf Plus Design
- The Leaf Plus is black on one side and white on the other side. The amplifier is right at the antenna, where it can amplify the signal before the cable loss can affect it. Placing the amplifier at the antenna, it also makes it possible to locate the Leaf Plus further from the TV using the Mohu Leaf extension cables
- Range of the Leaf Plus
- The Leaf Plus antenna is recommended for customers who live within about 50 miles (80 kilometers) of the broadcasting towers. However, due to differences in geography and your home's construction, the maximum operable distance may vary
- UHF and VHF Stations
- The Leaf Plus is optimized for UHF stations, which comprises about 95% of the HDTV stations today. The Leaf Plus will receive VHF stations but it will not be able to receive them from as far away as the UHF band stations
- Leaf Plus Placement
- The Leaf Plus antenna is shipped with two adhesive hoop and loop pads, which can be used to mount the Leaf or simply use tape to mount it on the wall. To optimize performance, temporarily tape the leaf to the wall in several different locations (performing a channel scan for each location) to determine where signal strengths are the highest

My son installed the Leaf Plus Amp HDTV indoor antenna from Mohu on Sunday, Jan 20,2013. In time for us to see the last quarter of the first playoff game and all of the second game. Without interuption. The picture is very good, and I am recieving the channels I thought I would with this antenna. I don't watch lots of TV so to have to pay for time I am not using it seems not good stewardship of my limited funds. Thank you so much for this choice. I would have it paid for in one payment to cable or satalite. I will be recommended this to my friends.

I used the product for channels instead of using Cable TV. It is good for clear High Def HDTV reception signal. I would say better then cable reception. Easy to set up with the coaxel cable and amplifier that it comes with. But the one area which I do not like is that it only picks up a few local channels. I was expecting some stations from another city but no go! Also as far as setting it up on the wall, it tends to come off easily with the sticky's it comes with. Also the reception changes with movement of the Leaf, meaning lousy reception from time to time. From time to time you can get a particular station in the morning but later on at night no or little reception.

For whatever reason I was having trouble pulling signals in from broadscast stations that are not too far away. Too much interference between here and there? Who knows. I took a flyer on the Leaf Plus, and problem solved. No more fiddling with rabbit ears, just find a good spot to mount the Leaf and you're good to go. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

I was unable to get a single channel until I made this purchase, now I get up to, and over 36 of them!!! I am on the ground floor of my apartment building, and it still works great!!! Love it!!!

After some trial and error, I found the best spot for the antenna right next to the tv and only 6ft high, it picks all the channels clearly and without interruptions, so far it has been great.

I got rid of my satellite service and wanted clear reception for the 3 major local channels and all others that are available without cable or satellite in my area. I am in a valley surrounded by mountains. This brought in every channel I wanted and clearly. It is so thin that I attached it to the side of my speaker which does face a window and you cannot even see it's there. I had purchased another one that was expensive and did not get in 2 of the local channels. I am thrilled and will purchase another one shortly. Yea to the LEAF!

Works right out of the box. I didn't hang it permanently until i tried different locations and now all channels in my area that are available come in beautifully - most in HD. I get all 4 PBS channels & that's just right for me. I'm not much of a TV watcher and this sure beats a monthly cable bill!
