The DCB II Digiscoping Swing Adapter for ATX/STX Spotting Scopes from Swarovski is a proprietary adapter designed to connect a point-and-shoot or mirrorless camera to the body of ATX/STX series spotting scopes. This thoughtfully engineered digiscoping accessory enables momentary access to the camera or unobscured viewing through the eyepiece. Simply flip up the swing arm to use the spotting scope as normal, then flip down and lock in place to snap a picture or video of that rare butterfly or bulls eye downrange. Regardless of the compact camera used, you will capture contrast-rich and sharp digital images using the premium optics of your Swarovski spotting scope.

Compatible with cameras measuring less than 52.5mm from the tripod mount to the surface of the camera lens.

Note: Camera not included

Use and Handling
The camera mounting base accommodates a wide range of camera lenses by sliding and locking in place with a thumb screw. Additional braking action secures the camera position and prevents slipping. The DCB II can be separated into two parts for easier transport and storage.
The choice for professionals and advanced amateurs in any imaging field, the DCB II digiscoping adapter is a quick and convenient way to use your world-class Swarovski optics to capture stunning still images and video. Switching between the spotting scope's modular eyepiece and a camera rig is easy due to the bayonet mount system and quick-release button on the adapter.
Supported Cameras Up to 52.5 mm (from tripod socket to lens surface)

Comments about Swarovski DCB II Digiscoping Swing Adapter for ATX/STX Spotting Scopes:

This adapter comes with little in the way of instruction, but fortunately it isn't too hard to install. The ring around the eyepiece is removed and replaced with one that has a flange. The flange snugs a collar that fits around the scope eyepiece assembly. The adapter clamps onto the collar with a single lever. The camera is placed on a quick disconnect plate (supplied) which allows left/right movement. In/out and up/down adjustments are via screw down in slotted tracks. Once set, they can be tightened in place for a particular camera and do not required other adjustment. When the camera is correctly positioned, it can be flipped up and latched out of the way for viewing. Thus, it is simple to go from viewing to taking pictures without adjustments required. My first photos were with a small Panasonic Lumix point/shoot. The subject was a goldfinch 17 feet away. I used a 2 second timer, pressed the shutter halfway to focus, then fully pressed to start the timer. Great photos and not much hassle after the initial setup. This is a very nice accessory, well built, a little busy and bulky, but does a good job. It only fits reasonably small cameras and comes with a somewhat cheap looking carry bag.
