Comments about Viewsonic VX2770Smh-LED 27" Widescreen LED Backlit IPS LCD Monitor:
I'm a photographer and videographer. This monitor replaces a 24 inch that I've been using for the past 5 years. It is a dramatic improvement in clarity and sharpness. You can fit more elements on the screen nicely. And at this price I don't think it can be beat. Do yourself a favor and get one. You won't regret it.

Comments about Viewsonic VX2770Smh-LED 27" Widescreen LED Backlit IPS LCD Monitor:
Overall a pretty good monitor. Bright, even illumination, very sharp. Most important this monitor has zero reflections, I cannot understand how people put up with glossy screens, wife has a 27" Imac and that screen is virtually a nightmare of reflections during the day, and at night there better not be any lights behind or you'll be dancing side to side to read the screen. On the other hand, the resolution of that screen leaves this one in the dust... no contest. But then again lets compare apples to apples (no pun intended). A 2560x1440 resolution monitor (like the one on the Imac) is more that double the price of this one.
The one thing to keep in mind with all 27" monitors is that 1920x1080 really is a stretch on this size screen, pixelation is evident a close distances, you really need to keep about 24" from the screen so it does not become apparent.
I would say this monitor delivers well for its price range, color seem fine out of the box and I'm sure it'll improve with proper calibration. The design is fairly attractive, the build a bit flimsy but acceptable.
The reason I'm thinking about returning mine is the light bleed on the bottom-left of the screen in this particular sample, it is fairly pronounced, covers a radius of about 6 inches and becomes easily visible on medium-dark to dark backgrounds. Without that problem it's definitely a keeper... unless I were willing to dish out 7 or 8 large ones for higher-res one...

This monitor is total GARBAGE! Got 2 monitors and all have PURPLE BLOTCH and about 200 DEAD PIXELS in the middle, bottom portion. Be sure to check your monitor.
