The Swann DVR-3000 TruBlue Security 8-Channel DVR with Remote Access (1 TB) allows you to simultaneously record and view high-quality video from 8 cameras in real-time. The pre-installed 1 TB hard drive offers more than 30 days of recording from 8 cameras. Motion detection helps in detecting the presence of relevant motion in the video. You can easily transfer data to an external storage device via the USB, eSATA, or RJ45 over the network) port .
Integrated H.264 compression technology helps in saving storage space and reduces the dependence on bandwidth. UPnP support provides auto network configuration for easy setup of remote viewing. You can view the recorded videos live on any 3G/4G enabled smartphones and tablets including iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, and Android with remote notification via email. This DVR-3000 Security DVR can be easily connected to TV / LCD monitors via VGA or HDMI for playback or live viewing of videos.

Easy to set up and has good solid features. It automatically set up port forwarding rules in our router which made accessing the DVR via internet and smart phone simple. The only feature not available via network that would sometimes be useful is being able to review recordings. You have to do that at the DVR.
