The UDMA2 allows you to view and back up the contents of your memory cards without a computer or external power source. Featuring 320GB of memory on a user-replaceable SATA HDD, this device accepts 5 different memory card types, including CompactFlash, SD, SDHC, SDXC and MMC cards.

Backing up data from a memory card to the UDMA2 can be done at a data transfer rate of up to 27MBps. Using the mini-USB 2.0 port provides a data transfer rate of 480Mbps, and the device is also backward compatible with USB 1.1 technology. Wirelessly backing up your data is also an option via the included Wi-Fi Adapter. Plug it into the Accessory Port of the UDMA2 and achieve a data transfer rate of up to 3.0MBps to any wireless device within range. This includes tablets, laptops, smartphones and PCs.

The 3.5" TFT color LCD display allows you to view the contents of your memory cards in fullscreen 320x480 resolution. The device is able to display JPEG images, as well as any RAW file type. New RAW file formats can be added via firmware updates. A visual information feature allows you to view an RGB histogram over your images and also provides detailed EXIF data. Zoom and rotate functions can display files at 100% pixel level to help confirm focus and image quality.

The S.M.A.R.T. system (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) monitors the internal hard drive for potential issues and includes a built-in data recovery tool to aid in recovering deleted, lost, corrupted, and formatted files from memory cards. Sort these files with ease using user-programmable scripts and computer-like file operations.

320GBGB SATA HDD Capacity
With 320GBGB of HDD storage capacity, the Colorspace UDMA2 supports user-replaceable 2.5" SATA hard drives. Use the included screwdriver to remove and replace the currently installed 320GBGB HDD.

Comments about Sanho 320GB HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA2 Multimedia Player / Storage Device:

Use it to back up CF and SD cards for my Nikon D800E. (I am using SD cards as my iPad Air Lightning connector with a USB adapter cannot read the M.I.C. Gadget Camera Connection Kit that worked fine on my iPad 3) The HyperDrive product replaced my Epson P6000 because the raw files from the D800 too large for the limited storage of the P6000. The Colorspace UDMA 2 can do much more than the P6000 so it is more complicated... Screen is not as sharp as the P6000, but I just use it to backup my files so I do not care about the screen. Use my iPad for viewing images while on the road. Would give it 5 stars if it came with a better manual and had a sharper screen.

bought it from B&h (OF COURSE) to replace Epson P6000 (only 80GB)works fine, instruction manual needs work!bought optional OTG Device to connect and transfer contents to WD HDD 2TB. after some teething problems KELVIN at HYPERDRIVE got it up and working, great service, nice people!Easy to use, quick, lightweight, and efficient, I replaced the 320GB internal HDD with a 1 tb as I got a new FX camera.( EASY TO DO, just 2 screws)backs up incrementely, after backing up card one time full,so u don't get duplications.Tranfers using windows explorer to computer.also acts as wireless network to move files to IPAD ETC.yes, I would recommend , support from Hyperdrive is excellent and speedy.I'm told only CF cards OF 32GB up to 800 x (NOT 1000X)Terry RossBrisbane Australia

Comments about Sanho 320GB HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA2 Multimedia Player / Storage Device:

I purchased this to back up CF cards while on vacation. The UDMA2 device does this fine, and the size is definitely portable. Hhowever I only achieved 22 MB/sec as opposed to the spec of 27 MB/sec.The interface works, but is sluggish. If you click the outer rim of the navigation ring multiple times too quickly, they aren't recognized. A touchscreen would have been really nice.USB 2.0 was a disappointment today. Come on, even [*] is stocking USB 3.0 devices at this time. To be fair, the spec calls for USB 2.0.Battery life isn't the claimed 120 min downloading per charge, but seems adequate. The device displays RAW files nicely and zooms and pans as expected. The thumbnails populate the screen nicely and rapidly. Unfortunately, when you open an individual photo, it takes a LONG time to load. Make the thumbnails as large as possible to verify the photos transfer properly.Perhaps my biggest disappointment is that USB connectivity to external drives is NOT included. Again, come on folks, a wireless adapter is included, but not USB connectivity? I would gladly forego the wireless (you can transfer to a computer with a USB cable) but NOT to a USB stand alone drive without an optional device. It is much faster than my 4 year old Digital Foci, added to the RAW file display capability make the UDMA2 acceptable. The old-style menu functionality make it cludgy but usable. The value for money is barely there as you can purchase a low end laptop with USB 3.0 slot for close to the same price.Recommended with reservations.

Comments about Sanho 320GB HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA2 Multimedia Player / Storage Device:

I've been looking for a storage devise to replace my two Epson P-5000's and took a gamble on the UDMA2/320 GB unit. It is not as user friendly as the Epson, and the owners manual failed to state that you have to "hold" the OK button down to start a function. I also had to phone the help line to learn how to download to my computer...that said, maybe my computer skills are to blame too. It functions beautifully and has the storage capacity I need for long trips. I just ordered my second unit for backup.

I purchased the 320GB UDMA2 to store images while in the Colorado outback. This storage device solves the problem of carrying a handfull of SDHC devices. I can carry 6 32G drives and feel comfortable that the images I have taken are stored and available when I get home. The recovery function is almost worth the price of the unit itself, it works better than most separate software.

Comments about Sanho 320GB HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA2 Multimedia Player / Storage Device:

I bought this device in October to back up my CF cards during a 3-week photo tour in India. I returned from the trip yesterday and unfortunately, the device stopped working after downloading the 14th card of the trip. After downloading that card, I got a message "Please Wait" and then the monitor went blank. Upon rebooting, a long series of error messages displayed along with the message "OS not found!".

After using the Epson P4000 with no problems for nearly 6 years, the Hyperdrive, by comparison, is poorly made and completely unreliable. I'm now contacting Sanyo for a refund.
