I use this product to print, scan and photocopy documents.
I am happy with the wireless connectivity of the printer and I had no problem connecting it. Please note, however, that the installation CD that comes with the printer is not compatible with MacOS. I had to download and install three separate drivers from the website. That notwithstanding, I am still experiencing problems with the printer and scanner settings, which I have to re-set manually every time. The Canon customer service agent was rather unhelpful and borderline rude on the phone, saying that it is my job to configure the computer to work with their machine (even though the installation CD is not available for MacOS).
Frankly, I don't understand why Canon does not ship a CD that is compatible with MacOS.

I use it mainly for printing for my business and it works great so far (only have had it for about 6 months). I haven't used the scan or fax functions yet but copying seems to work fine. I love the wireless printing features, it's very convenient and easy to set up. The included toner cartridge doesn't last long though so be prepared to buy another one soon after

While it's pretty massive, it's the best B&W printer/all-in-one that I ever had, and I had few :)
Wakes up super quickly, never had any issues with not seeing printer online via WiFi (like with Brother printers). Everything just works, great, and love duplex printing feature (saves a lot of paper). Copier functionality on par with office copiers. Love it!
It does have manual (they call it multifunction) tray for yoru lables and envelopes and it works great.
Only negative is that there's software option (not that I could find) to print to manual tray, but if you have something inserted there, it will preffer it over autofeeder tray.
No issues printing envelopes or shipping lables.
I did not use Fax feature yet, but everything else is just perfect!

This replaced an old laser printer and scanner while also providing me with fax capability. It's fast and produces high quality printed or scanned output. One of the things that attracted me to this unit besides its attractive price was its duplexing capability. I discovered however that using the automatic document feeder will only allow for duplexed output from single sided originals... not a terrible limitation which can be overcome by not using the ADF. Otherwise I would have given five stars. Once again Canon's tech support was outstanding. This keeps me coming back to their products.

This printer is a replacement for another brand. It's fast, quiet, and versatile. It prints, scans, copies and faxes. I have no need for the fax but at this price point I couldn't pass it by.The setup is very quick and easy. The time consuming part of setup is removing all the packing tape that is used to keep it steady during shipment. It has a comprehensive printed manual and an eManual that covers even more. I've been printing quite a lot since I got it and the starter cartridge doesn't show any appreciable use yet. I've got it on a home network and can scan or copy from the printer and direct it to anywhere on the network. Very convenient. It appears to be well built and should hold up for quite a while.

This printer is absolutely fantastic. Fast printing and great copies.
The wireless printing is the greatest thing next to slice bread.
Takes a little getting use too especially on a Mac. But worth the learning curve.
Only disappointment is that it did not come with "Airprint" installed.

My wife and I are transitioning to laptops and require wireless printing. She uses an Apple McBook Pro and I use a Windows 8 machine. It took several tries and a phonecall to Canon to get the printer set up for the wireless LAN. My wife was able to get the drivers downloaded and started to print right away. I had a difficult time getting the drivers for my Windows laptop through the internet. I finally had to buy a external DVD writer for my laptop and use the CD that came with the printer. The effort is worth it. The printer is great and makes my life easier with the multi-function capability.

We needed a printer that printed text quickly and without problems. So far, it seems to be doing the job quite well.
Set-up was fast both on the PC and the MAC side and networking it was quick and easy.

Print quality is good, scan quality is good, Quiet mode is awesome, and auto duplexing is really a pleasure. The machine feels very solid as well. Setting up remote scanning takes a little work and the software doesn't have as many options or features as that of other scanners, but the unit itself is plug-and-play. Happy with the purchase.

The price was the lowest available at the time. The printer was boxed well for shipping. The product arrived within the stated time.I was expecting some difficulty setting the printer up on a wireless network, but Canon's instructions were documented precisely and setup was completed without a problem.I am using the Canon MF 4880 for high-volume printing because it is very economical to operate.I switched from an HP product to Canon to see if the documentation and software was better. It is as far as I am concerned.

This is a small, and feature packed auto-duplexing, networked copy/fax MFC device. It is much faster than the older Brother device it is replacing. The scanning works on all modern OS, across the network, and the printing is fast and crisp. For only [$]- it was a perfect buy, and I *love* the duplexing feature!
