The Smart-UPS C 1500VA with LCD (120V) by APC is a 900W out, 120V in UPS (uninterruptible power supply) with a USB interface port, multifunction LCD status and control console, and 8x battery-powered outlets.
It uses NEMA 5-15R connections for output, and a NEMA 5-15P input connection. Its maintenance free sealed lead-acid battery has a typical recharge time of 3 hours, and you can purchase backup batteries for the unit separately.
At a full load of 900W, the backup time is five minutes. At half load of 450W, the backup time is 14 minutes. It has a surge energy rating of 455 joules, so it is well protected against brown outs, shutdowns, and surges. It also provides battery-powered AC from its outlets.
The Smart-UPS C 1500VA with LCD (120V) also bypasses unused electrical components in good power condition in certain power modes to help stay green by using less power without sacrificing protection. It also uses pure sine wave output to simulate utility power as close to the original as possible to protect servers and sensitive electronics.
The Smart-UPS C 1500VA with LCD (120V) is a smart investment for end users looking to protect their equipment from sudden power loss.

Comments about APC Smart-UPS C 1500VA with LCD (120V):
I bought this product to protect my high-end PC and to preserve the integrity of the stored data. A pure sinewave was a must for my application. The utility power in my area has been less than ideal lately so now I have peace of mind during periods of brownouts and power fluctuations. The LCD Status display has already registered 10 "Hits" in just 2 months. This unit has performed wonderfully. I would highly recommend this UPS to a friend.

Comments about APC Smart-UPS C 1500VA with LCD (120V):
Secures a small network or mission critical work stations. I have never lost data or a computer do to line surge or power failure since I have invested in APC Smart UPS. Solid Performance where you need it. My experience is batteries need to be replaced approx every five years or you can return the unit for an upgrade. Our business currently has seven Smart UPS units including a large rack unit. We have used them for years. All have performed as promised.

Comments about APC Smart-UPS C 1500VA with LCD (120V):
The Smart-UPS by APC have a pure sine wave which is important if you work in pro audio. I've been using APC for years and been happy with their equipment and customer support. This unit had a strange random noise you could hear every 3 seconds, I contacted APC and they are shipping me a new replacement unit and paying for the shipping to return this unit to them. These problems are rare with their equipment, but they take good care of you.
This unit uses microlink which isn't fully supported by apcupsd if you are running this on a server for Mac, Windows or Linux. But it still works to handle a proper shutdown in the event of a power outage.

Comments about APC Smart-UPS C 1500VA with LCD (120V):
My husband and I have a monthly publication. Our old, powerful (fourteen year old) UPS finally died-- We live rurally and have frequent brown outs as well as outright power failures in almost every storm. Panic. The customer service agent at APC was extremely helpful in recommending the size UPS's that we needed, and we ended up buying two. Extremely easy to set up, completely quiet, I don't even know it's there...except now I have peace of mind that my work will not be lost, and my computers are safe from surges. I have not had to test them in a power outage yet, but I'm not worried. Thank you.
