The Revo 47" Camera Track Slider is a full length, lightweight camera slider that you can fairly conveniently carry from location to location and maximize as many of your scenes as possible with fluid motion. You can set the slider on its feet or mount it on a tripod and glide your camera left, right, forward or backward. A rig of up to 11 pounds can be attached and moved smoothly the entire 47 inches of the track.

Three 1/4" and three 3/8" threaded screw-holes are positioned along the bottom for mounting up to two tripods. Aside from these, several non-threaded holes run along the bottom, and if you can find a way to screw the slider to a wall by means of these holes, then you can execute wall-mounted vertical and horizontal glides and add even more versatility of movement to your scenes. You can also position the slider tilted on a tripod (or two) and have your glides slanted.

The slider is made of aluminum alloy, and the sliding camera carriage has plastic cups underneath by which it slides smoothly on the slider rails. The carriage has removable 1/4" and 3/8" screws for attaching a camera or fluid head, and it is itself removable so that you can comfortably attach the camera or head off of the slider. The carriage also has one 1/4" thread on each top corner so that in addition to a camera you can mount articulating arms with lights, mics and other accessories. A knob on the side of the carriage tightens to keep the carriage from moving and a bubble level on the top helps measure how even the slider is positioned. The slider's feet are removable too and attach on by included hex screws. The feet feature rubber tips on their bottoms to provide a secure grip and prevent the slider from moving about.

I mount a Sony NEX-EA50UH on this rail, stabilized on two tripods. The 47" length allows for some beautiful, lengthy shots. I use just a slight touch of silicone from a cotton cloth (to keep it neat and not messy) to freshen up the rails occasionally, which helps the camera glide very smoothly. Bear in mind this is a relatively inexpensive slide, so it isn't "perfect" as slides may go, but I would call it "very near perfect" for the price. Because I wanted to keep the cost down, I coupled this with Velbon PH-368 Fluid Head. The PH-368 is a plastic unit but again, great value for a decent product. I treat these products with proper care relative to their construction materials and expect them to last many years.

It works, that being said, it is a bit sticky. I had to put a tiny bit of dawn dish liquid on the rail to make it slide smooth. I needed a 42 in slide for the project I was working on. With a Davis Sanford fluid head and a 5D MKII with a 24 70 L series lense. It was about all the slider could handle. But, at the end of the day. I bought a [$] slider, not a expensive slider. Good for the money spent. Tried to give it a 3 1/2 but but the rating would not let me.

Comments about Revo 47" Camera Track Slider:

I use this product for video shoots on a single tri-pod. Sliding base is wobbly so it will take a couple takes to make sure you have a smooth movement. Comes with rubber knobs on the feet but they fell off the first day I used it. However, it does slide pretty well when you can get the slide base not to wobble.

Comments about Revo 47" Camera Track Slider:

I was anxious to get my track slider, but when it arrived I found it a bit disappointing. The slider action, a piece of plastic covering the grove in the platform, did not allow for a smooth sliding motion. I will probably look for another slider at some point with rollers.

Comments about Revo 47" Camera Track Slider:

For someone looking to add cinematic slide elements to their work, this is your entry point. For the price, you really cannot beat it. That said, if you're a perfectionist (most of us are), then I would steer clear of this. I've been through two of these, each one had some slop creating jerky/wobbly shots. This piece of equipment's sole purpose is to slide, but frankly it doesn't. 3 stars, based off price alone.

Comments about Revo 47" Camera Track Slider:

The plastic fillers between the metal and the slide rails are not that tight so there is slop in the rail slide it self. this is a slight issue. Other wise for the low price its a good product at 1/10 of the cost of a high end rail

The slider works wonderful, but it is a bit to long for my taste. It gives me perfect slide and are lightweight. The parts that make it slide is made by plastic and looks cheep and easy to destroy.

Comments about Revo 47" Camera Track Slider:

Recently I began shooting house tours for a real estate company and I needed something that didn't take up a lot of space that would allow me to get nice fluid movements, particulary on stairs. After consulting with a product expert via B&H webchat, I decided to take a chance with this 47" track slider. So far, I am quite happy with my purchase. It is a nice light weight slider that allows for smooth camera movement. It is easy to assemble and dismantle and its only requirement is that you have a nice sturdy tripod for attachment. This slider has allowed me to accomplish everything I set out to do. A great product overall.

Comments about Revo 47" Camera Track Slider:

I bought a 23" Revo Slider because of the other sizes being back ordered. The 23" was too small, and I think this one was too large. Although, just depends on what you're using it for. My main purpose was weddings, and it was almost longer than the aisle.

I do like the Revo sliders, however. Smooth. Easy to use. As long as you're not using the audio from the camera the noise isn't an issue, and can be used during quiet events (like a wedding).

                Would reccommend.

Very sturdy and well built, didn't bend even when a musician I was filming fell flat on top of it on pavement. Can stick if your rig weighs too much, which for me meant a Manfrotto pan/tilt head (the $127 one... I forget the model but it's made of heavy stuff) and a Nikon D3200 (pretty light dslr) so if you're looking for simple hand-powered motion this is right for you.
