This a nice little camera that can be stashed and taken any where. Is great for indoor photos at a party or outside at the park. I have used it in a moving vehicle, and photos are pretty clear. Flash has its distance limitation so is not an outside night time camera. Of course it has its limitation because it is a point and shoot camera, but overall it takes really good photos.

Very small and portable camera but this time Nikon did not deliver a quality product.
The main issue is the poor quality of the images, probably because there is no option to control the ISO or white balance.
Auto flash doesn't fire all the time when it is needed, but the ISO does increase causing a very noisy image.
Auto focus isn't accurate, causing a lag trying to focus.
If you going to take pictures with flash ON and in a close range, or in a sunny day, the images are generally acceptable.

I use this camera daily to record information, events, people and things. It is like my digital diary and I have a log of every thing I need and like they say a picture is worth a 1000 words and there are no mistakes. I log our vehicles of which there are 177 and the VIN #s pictures of the trucks drivers and equipment. Saves me lots of time writing all the information. The pictures are excellent and it's so easy to use and I love that I can hardly tell it's always in my pocket.

Got this as a Christmas gift for my 11 year old niece and it is prefect for her. No SD card so there's nothing to lose and with 8gbs of storage you don't really need one. This is a great little camera for kids of if you need a convenient point and shoot to carry around in your pocket or purse. There's not many bells and whistles with this one but there's lots of editing software out there to spice up any photo you take. I will admit that the photo quality isn't spectacular but still very good for such a compact camera.

I now have no excuse for not capturing the photos that come up unexpectedly because the SO1 is so small it fits into my smallest bag or pocket. I am never without a camera and it takes great pictures.

This camera is a very tiny basic point & shoot 10MP digital camera which is perfect for anyone who prefers something as small and light as nearly possible without a lot of unnecessary frills even though it does have a few frills anyway like different fun filter effects. The image quality is mostly very good to excellent except I did notice some blurring in the corners and edges on some shots but not all, so maybe it was too slow of a shutter speed for that shot. It would not be fair to expect the image quality to be as good as that of more expensive digital cameras, Nikon or otherwise. The battery is built in, so if it ever fails to take a charge you would most likely need to buy another camera. On the plus side; the battery recharges from the USB port connected to your computer after an initial charge from the more conventional AC power charger which is included. It also does not have a memory card but only internal memory of approximately 7.3GB. This could be a minor drawback at times. Any of the setbacks this camera may have are more than compensated by its tiny size and ease of use. And even though I don't understand why it is not available in black (at least in the USA) it looks pretty cool in white, especially in a Northeast Winter!

This is a fun little carry everywhere camera, I have SLRs that a big and heavy but with this tiny camera it is super easy to put in your pocket and go, especially at parties or going out.

The touch screen in the back is nice, but it took me a while to get use to it since it was not as sensitive as a Phone touch screen.

I find my self dropping this camera in my shirt pocket and takeing it every where I go. It will do more than a high end camera phone (which I do not own) and takes excelent pictures. So far the only draw back I have found is the flash has a short range, 5' or less. But after all it is a subcompact camera. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who especially likes the touch-screen features. The camera is only about 2" x 3" but the view screen is almost the same size. The S01 takes the same quality photos and videos as my Coolpix S6300 and has many of the same features. It's just a little smaller.

Extremely convenient little camera that fits into your pocket or anywhere else. It has internal battery and memory card which means no lost items and no need to change out cards. It forces you to download shots when they pile up instead of adding more and more cards until your pics are scattered across the world.

I was intreagued by the samll sixe of this camera, but now do not think that it has enough advatnages over the camera in my cell hone to warrent a separate purchase. If you don't have a phone with a camera, this would be very useful. Otherwise, think carefuly.

I bought this camera for personal use because of it's small size. It fits great in my purse or pocket. It works very well and is actually fun to use. The shutter does lag a bit so you do tend to lose some of the good shots, waiting for the shutter to catch up, but, I still like the camera and think it's a good product. The video has awesome sound quality when you play back videos you have taken. All in all, it's a fun little camera.
