Product Highlights
  • Slim Profile for Travel Tripods
  • One Locking Lever for All Movement
  • Bubble Levels for All Axes
  • Quick-Release System with Safety Lock

The BA-108T Single Lever Travel Ball Head from Oben is a simple ball head with one locking knob to control all motion. The knob allows you to unlock the ball so that you can quickly orient your camera properly, retighten the knob, and return to shooting. This enables fast setup changes, and frees you to keep a finger on the trigger while you're making a quick adjustment to the head's orientation.

This travel ball head has a trim profile, making it ideal for compact travel tripods that have reversible folding legs. It also has a 90° notch which facilitates shooting in portrait orientation. One bull's eye and three tubular bubble levels ensure your camera is level on both the horizontal and vertical axes.

The included quick-release plate has a retractable video pin, and attaches to your camera via its standard 1/4"-20 screw. With your camera attached to the quick-release plate, it easily snaps and locks into place on the ball head, and a safety lock on the release lever prevents it from being accidentally released.

Works great. Levels are quite accurate, ball moves smoothly and locks off with ease. Smaller profile is just what we needed.

Comments about Oben BA-108T Single Lever Travel Ball Head:

I needed a tripod for back country hiking and camping. This replaced a 10lb Bogen rig that was just too heavy and cumbersome. This is very light and very solid. I did not have a chance to use it in high winds but otherwise it is very stable. Keep in mind it is not a Bogen but if you know what you are doing this will get the job done right. I also did some rock climbing and was scratching and banging this thing around all over the rocks. This little, light thing is solid. Plus the carrying case it comes with is awesome!

Comments about Oben BA-108T Single Lever Travel Ball Head:

I was looking for a smaller version of my beefy tripod that I use for my 4 by 5 camera. This one was to be for my digital SLR I travel with. This is well made and locks tight. It surely has enough bubble levels on it. More than I would ever use. It's not all plastic like I thought it would be. I would recommend this for use for a light-weight travel tripod and head assembly.

Comments about Oben BA-108T Single Lever Travel Ball Head:

So far so good. I like this style with one release/tightener better for quick shooting than the 3 screw type.

Solid connection, well built, use with 7D and various lenses on monopod.
