The charcoal gray BX² Waist Pack from Brenthaven is an outdoor pack that will leave you hands free to pursue your photography, make a phone call or grab a snack. No more shoulder bags slipping around getting in your way while shooting. It's also valuable when hiking or climbing since, with your hands unencumbered, it will be easier to maintain your balance. For capacity, this pack is designed to hold your DSLR with 2-3 lenses, flash and some accessories in the main compartment that comes with foam dividers that can be configured to suit whatever gear you need that day.
The unique feature of this bag is its built-in, tethered LED light that will make locating anything within the pack easier especially when working in marginal light or dimly lit clubs. The light will also come in handy when you need to read a map or manual at sunset or simply use as a signal light to stay in touch with those nearby. The tuck away style waist belt leaves the bag free to use its adjustable, removable shoulder strap or top grab handle.
In use, the pack has been designed to unzip away from your body so only you will be able to see what's inside. This is a major security feature when you're working a crowd. The zippered side pockets are sized to hold small supplies such as your phone, cables, batteries or memory cards.
The PVC-free (poly vinyl chloride) BX² Waist Pack is made from water-resistant ballistic nylon and back coated with polyurethane for added strength. BX² foam on the back of the pack is also incorporated to further guard against incidental contact and drops. To increase its flexibility, the pack is provided with modular optional lens case attachment points for securing additional pouches.
A quick access, built-in rain cover will protect the entire pack when the weather turns sour. The zippers all have long pull tabs for when you're wearing gloves so you need not be afraid to use the pack in cold weather. All the hardware has been tested to withstand 250 lb of pressure. At only 2.1 lb, this is a lightweight pack with padded rear side to make it more comfortable when worn on your waist. The BX² Waist Pack is backed by Brenthaven's 100% lifetime guarantee.

I purchased this for my underwater camera. The camera itself is small but it has a fairly large housing along with flashes and a wide angle lense. The bag has plenty of room for all of this and convenient storage for batteries, cables, charger, SD cards and more.
The bag is very high quality and the waist pack belt makes it easy to pack through airports while also carrying a backpack.
Highly recommend this product.

This is a second bag for me, when in the field. My main bag is a LowePro versa, with room for my laptop and all peripherals plus camera equipment. The BX2 is ideal for a pro slr body, one small lens and one telephoto, along with extras like a battery, cards and lens fluid. The build is solid, the cushioning seems excellent and the design seems good. The interior is highly customizable. The waist strap seems to work well.
Bags are a very personal decision. This is a good compromise between a large bag and the belt lowepro outbacks.
