The Adesso NuScan 500 5-MP Visual Presenter with A4-Size Shooting Area is a multi-functional presentation tool available at a price among the most affordable out there. NuScan captures photos and video and lets you edit both. It copies, scans and faxes. It's a webcam and it connects to the Web for one-click sharing on social media sites. It separately also connects to monitors and to projectors so you can deliver presentations on large displays. And it features tools for keeping all your files and work organized.

- The NuScan 500 offers a unique down-facing lens with a shooting area of 8.27 x 11.69", perfect for capturing still images or video recordings of large documents, pictures or 3D objects. Along with the included ArcSoft MediaImpression 3 HD software, NuScan offers a maximum of 5MP image resolution and 3 MP video resolution.
- Edit
- Enjoy easy-to-use photo and video editing tools that let you customize every detail. Easily erase red eyes, retouch images, adjust colors, rotate, crop and much more. Also enjoy adding cool transitions, themes and text to your videos and slideshows with one click.
- Digital Filing
- Organize and view all of your captured images and videos in one location. Staying organized couldn't be easier. Use the advanced auto face and scene tagging functions to automatically have your images and videos sorted by face detection or similar scene surroundings.
- OCR
- Use the included ABBYY FineReader Sprint Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to extract text and pictures from NuScan-captured images of documents, books, magazines and any other images containing text. This software will convert your images to editable PDF, Word or Excel files with editable text boxes and picture images.

- Use the included software to share files directly through email or to popular social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, and Vimeo.

This is almost the exact same item as the Recordex 5e. Does what it needs to do, but not very well. Is not very compact. The video quality is terrible, and the camera hardware that is built in is also terrible. When taking pictures it is OK, but that is because most of the refinement is done through their software. Do not use this for video. Decided to go with a Logitech HD webcam and a copy stand instead. Much better quality for a lot less money.
