Comments about Sony VAIO E Series 15 SVE15125CXS 15.5" Notebook Computer (Aluminum Silver):
I use this laptop for casual home use only. It seems to be of really good quality and has lots of features I can use. I especially like the "always hot" USB jack (even when the computer is on the battery). In the short time I have used the machine I have found two things that are not perfect for me. First of all, Windows 8 was very confusing, at first. I have gotten used to it, but boy was it a struggle in the beginning. The computer sat for two days, untouched, after I spent my first 15 minutes trying to figure out Windows 8. As I said... I'm alright with it now. The other issue that I have with this computer is the sharp edge that runs along the SD card reader edge. My wrist rests there and the edge can be rather uncomfortable at times. One other thing that I really like about this machine is the freakishly quick startup when you open the lid. If the computer is asleep and you open the screen lid, the computer comes on almost instantly. My Dell never did that. Oh, and this is the first Sony computer I have ever owned. ALL my other computers were Dell. This is the first time I have tried a non-Dell computer. I'm glad I moved out of my comfort zone.
