It natively supports 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generation iPads, and it supports the 4th Generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina Display via an optional Apple Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter.

The iTrack Solo is designed to deliver high-quality sound to your DAW. It features a Focusrite microphone preamplifier, an XLR mic input and a 1/4" instrument input. It also features dual RCA phono monitor outputs and a Direct Monitor Switch that eliminates any latency during recording. The iTrack Solo supports a digital resolution of up to 24-bit / 96 kHz and it even comes with a host of free music making software including Ableton Live Lite 8 and the Focusrite Scarlett Plug-In Suite.

The Scarlett Plug-In Suite provides several audio editing tools including Gate and Reverb, Compression and EQ. The iTrack Solo is equipped with unique LED signal halos, which surround the two gain knobs. They turn green when your recording is at the appropriate level, but if your recording starts to clip, the LEDs change from green to red. Plus, the device supports 48V phantom power and there's even a 1/4" TRS headphone jack. The iTrack Solo also features a USB 2.0 port, as well as a DEVICE LINK port for connecting to your iPad. iPad, Mac, and PC Support
- Natively supports 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generation iPads
- Supports the 4th Generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina Display via an optional Apple Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter
- Supports all iPad applications that use the Apple Core Audio driver
- Works with Mac and PC computers
High-Quality Mic Preamp
The preamp design on the iTrack Solo is the same design as used in the Scarlett and Saffire audio interface ranges, which is used and trusted by top musicians and artists around the world
High-Quality Outputs
With a dynamic range of over 105 dB, your music will sound amazing going out of the iTrack Solo's professional digital to analogue conversion
Rugged Metal Unibody Case
The tough aluminum unibody chassis ensures that your iTrack Solo can withstand life on the road, and it will match the modern aesthetic of your iPad
Unique Signal Halos
The gain halos which surround the gain knob for each input provide an easy way to know that the signal you're recording is the right level. It will show green when the signal is at a good level (above -24 dBFS). If it turns to red, you know that the signal is too loud and is therefore clipping - if this happens, simply reduce the gain until the halo returns to green
Direct Monitor Function
Flick the direct monitor switch on the front panel of your iTrack Solo and you will hear what you are recording through your speakers or headphones, without the signal having to go through your iPad, Mac or PC. This avoids the possibility of "latency" (a slight time delay) being introduced by your music app, which can be distracting while recording
Included Software for Mac & PC
Inside the box you'll find a code which will unlock Ableton Live Lite 8, as well as Focusrite's Scarlett plug-in suite. Compatible with all major DAWs (digital audio workstations) on Mac and PC, Scarlett plug-in suite provides EQ, Compression, Gate and Reverb - essential tools for polishing your mix

Comments about Focusrite iTrack Solo Audio Interface for iPad, PC & Mac:

I just needed an interface to plug in a pretty good quality mic to record voice overs. iTrack solo plugs right into my pc (windows 8.1) via USB. It was plug and play really. Adobe Audition recognized it right away.Keep in mind, in terms of outputs, this interface only has RCA and a 1/4" headphone jack. So if you intend to run monitors out of this baby, you'll have to select accordingly. From time to time my computer doesn't recognize the line in, so I just have to unplug and re-plug the USB (effectively restarting) and then it's all good to go.Good sound quality!

Comments about Focusrite iTrack Solo Audio Interface for iPad, PC & Mac:

Got this for my 15 y/o daughter. She plays guitar and writes her own songs and was wanting to record her music to start up a YouTube channel. I spoke with a B&H tech and they gave me several recommendations, some were less expensive but this had guitar and voice both covered in one.
I paired this with the MXL 770 microphone and got a mic stand and pop filter.
I set it up and we surprised her with it when she got home and she cried. Then she did a quick recording with it in Garage Band of one of her songs. When we played it back, I cried.
I couldn't be happier with the ease of use (as the household tech support guy) and with the quality and ease of use.
              You won't be sorry.

Comments about Focusrite iTrack Solo Audio Interface for iPad, PC & Mac:

I am using this to record guitar and vocals in GarageBand. It is compact and lightweight and yet feels like higher end quality. It is ultra simple to use and the circuits are very quiet.
Shame about the short cable to connect to the iPad. That makes a great product hard to use. Thus minus one star.
Customer Support were helpful when I had some connectivity questions..... But not very prompt via the online query system - 3 days to respond.

Comments about Focusrite iTrack Solo Audio Interface for iPad, PC & Mac:

As the next step to being able to do all your audio production on an i-Pad, the i-Track Solo is the start of the evolution. You get Focusrite pre-amp quality to drive the best microphones into your i-Pad or i-Phone for true recording quality using Garage Band, Twisted Wave, and a host of other iOS recording apps. Its the same audio quality as the very popular Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 with the ability to go iOS.

its only "out of the box" deficit is the short iOS cable. Focusrite makes a longer one which you can purchase. Although I see they are offering it free when you register the product.

The iTrack Solo Audio Interface is the key to my voice training system for connecting my CD Recorder and condenser microphone through my Desktop PC USB port with +48V Phamtom power. Although, diminutive in size its performance exceeded my expectations. It is extremely easy to use and monitor. Basically, it just sits there and does the job it was designed to do. I
experienced some problems with the initial setup through the USB 2.0 port. A call to Focusrite technical support solved the problem by patiently talking me through the set up procedure. Cudos for the their tech staff.

I used this with my Mac. It was easy to use and the quality was great (I used it with Garage Band). I wish it was able to plug in more than one mic, but besides that, this is a great investment for those solo artists who just need one mic and guitar plug in.

I use the Focusrite to input guitar parts into Garage Band on my IPad.
It does exactly what I hoped it would.
It doesn't replace a more advanced multitrack interface, but does a great job
                                on the IPad.
I'm going to try it on my PC platform.
