Pros: I can run World of Warcraft in Ultra mode and get 27 FPS in Orgrimmar. Windows 7 Experience Index (after memory and SDD upgrade): Processor: 7.1, Memory: 7.4, Graphics: 5.9, Gaming Graphics: 6.6, Primary HDD: 7.9. The speakers are not very loud, but they do have nice sound. It is small and light, with the power of a gaming desktop. It comes with 2GB of extra memory (4GB + 2GB) and an extra 24GB SSD (500GB HD + 24GB SSD) ! The battery recharge time is pretty fast.
Cons: I was a bit disappointed with the processor and the regular graphics score. My Pentium 3.0 QX6850 from 2008 got better score(7.3). To replace the memory and hard drive you need a Mini Torx Screwdriver T5. There are 12 screws to remove. The memory is easier to replace. To replace the hard drive you will need to move the battery and one of the internal speakers (watch out the tiny cable). The HD UVC Webcam isn't very good. While playing games with demanding graphics the video card fan will kick in and it gets a bit noisy (no big deal, but might bother some people). The battery does not last very long.
Other thoughts: I replaced the OS with Windows 7 Professional (came with Windows 8), downloaded all drivers from ASUS and Intel (they have a few newer drivers). All devices were recognized. You need to download/install drivers under "Others" in the ASUS website, so no device will be pending. I also replaced the hard drive with a solid state drive(Samsung MZ-7PC256B/WW)(some Intel SSD have an extra plastic frame that makes them thicker than normal, so they do not fit in the ultra book, you have to remove the plastic frame and leave without screws or use a different SSD) . I also replaced the memory with 8GB (Kingston KVR16S11/8) for a total of 10GB. Final weight: 3lb 2.8oz.

Windows 8 is frustrating, adding Classic Shell ASAP.
Display is brilliant, computing power is huge and this model has upgradeable RAM and HDD->SSD. Will do these updrades when SSD prices come down a bit.

This laptop will be used by my 11th grader (next year) for school work. It is a perfect size to fit in her bookbag. She has taken to Windows 8 like she has been using it her whole life! And - a plus in my mind - it is not as "flashy" as the Apple products.

Comments about ASUS Zenbook UX32VD-DH71 13.3" Ultrabook Computer (Silver):
do you really need the graphics card? if the answer isn't emphatically yes, then just get a macbook air and put windows 7 on it. you shouldn't buy this computer unless you plan to replace the pathetic 5400rpm hd with a ssd, which can be a real pain, probably not worth your hassle. Otherwise, if you swap the HD and memory, it's a decent computer, but windows 8 is a joke.

Used primarily for business. Video and speed is unsurpassed.
More ram and storage will be a great benefit for future models.
Comments about ASUS Zenbook UX32VD-DH71 13.3" Ultrabook Computer (Silver):
As everyone says, only buy this computer if you plan to swap out the hard drive and memory.
But be careful, this sounds easy, but may not be.
I'm not sure if my one star rating is for Asus, Windows 8, or even Samsung...
Windows 8 simply cannot recognize the new Samsung SSD drive, with updated Bios and all the tricks I could throw at it. Hours of work and research, plus wasted money on the drive, cable, software, etc. This computer is unacceptably slow with the as-shipped 5400rpm drive.
I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. Get a computer that works the way it should out of the box.

Comments about ASUS Zenbook UX32VD-DH71 13.3" Ultrabook Computer (Silver):
It has been two weeks since the purchase. Overall, laptop feels pretty good, it works smooth and has excellent monitor quality. I have only two complaints about this laptop; I agree with other reviewers about the weaknesses of touchpad, I find that it switches to different windows/apps while I am navigating in the current window. It gets annoying at times as I have to press alt+tab to come back the original window. Another drawback is Windows 8. It blocks Linux from accessing all the peripherals, such as wireless card, in virtualized environment and I am having problems getting used to new BIOS. Why does Microsoft have to make it so hard on their customers and changes stuff around all the time? Verdict: I am going to keep this one for a while along with my good 'ol XP machine... I would not suggest buying Windows 8 unless you just plan to browse the Internet and play music with pictures, and update twitter and put up stuff on Facebook.

I have one of these since a couple of weeks and it is a fast, quiet and high performance computer in a very portable format. Ideal to download, review and edit pictures.
The only trouble is that it does not come as such out of the box. I had to add memory (8gb), change the HD for a real SSD (256 gb) and re-install Win7 in place of the infamous Win8 package installed at factory.

Comments about ASUS Zenbook UX32VD-DH71 13.3" Ultrabook Computer (Silver):
I now have two of these, one for personal use and one for work. I upgraded one with 8MB memory and a 250GB SSD (personal), the other I upgraded just the memory. ACAD LT is probably the most demanding thing I run with no issues, but I don't do complex modeling, mostly just floor planning and simple 2D mechanical models.
Display is beautiful and speed is great for an ultrabook. I strongly recommend it. I'd give it 5 stars if the shell was a little more robust, ut it's not a big deal. Great travel PC.

Ditched mac universe because autoCAD is PC only.
Love the IPS screen. Come on apple, enough with the high gloss.
Tried Windows 8 for a few hours. Then bought an SSD and installed windows 7, now it is a great machine. Watch out for your thumbs on the touchy track pad.
Windows 8 is ok for tablets, not not laptops.

1. Buy only if you want to upgrade it
- Out of the box it makes a lot of noise, you can even hear when HDD works and it's getting hot very quickly
2. After upgrading with RAM and SSD it silent and very fast

I use my UX32 pretty much exclusively for work. I added a Samsung 256GB SSD and 8GB Crucial memory. I do internet marketing and need a reliable, lightweight, powerful system. I have owned 6 ASUS laptops over the last 8 years. These are some of the best built laptops on the market with plenty of configuration options. The only complaint I have is the cooling vent is on the bottom. If you work with this on your lap it gets a bit warm. I use a lap desk so it is not an issue but something to consider.

UX32VD has a state of a art design. Very light adn high end looks. Screen resolution is the best. The most importatnt is if you are tech saavy, you can open it and change harddrive and RAM within 20 min with no problems. Definately recommend this product. If you are thinking about Macbook Air, think twice coz this laptop has lot more power and flexibility than Air.
2 Things is didn't like: 1) Lot of preinstalled ASUS softwares. Dont know which one I can remove and which ones to keep. 2) Touchpad is sensitive and not work as you wanted. It might be settings problem but I was hoping to get laptop with all work done.
Overall thumps up!!

After my 3 years old 15" laptop broke down I decided to replace it with a well equipped ultrabook. After some comparisons the laptop that best seems to satisfies my requirements was the Asus Zenbook UX32VD-DH71. It has an adequate i7 processor (regrettably no quad core). The UX32 is the only ultrabook with a non integrated graphics card and the weight (incl. power supply) is more than 40% less compared to my old laptop. I ordered the laptop with a 1920 x 1080 ips display, which is an excellent display; luckily a matte display. Last but not least the workmanship of the laptop is immaculate. As design professional who travels a lot it perfectly fits my requirements.

Comments about ASUS Zenbook UX32VD-DH71 13.3" Ultrabook Computer (Silver):
I purchased the Zen after considering other ultrabooks, including the MacBook Air. The Zen delivers all of the functionality and quality at a lower price, plus it is fully compatible with my android phone and tablet AND I don't have to learn a new system. My primary use for this computer is for my work as a psychotherapist. I am completely paperless and need access to my electronic medical records system with a fully functional laptop. I need portability and speed, as I have limited time to wrestle with or wait for technology. The Asus Zenbook fits the bill nicely. I have only been using it for 2 weeks but here are the pros and cons so far:
This is a nice machine. I highly recommend it to those who are looking for a light, fast pc laptop that easily rivals the Macbook.
