The S56CA-DH51 15.6" Notebook Computer from ASUS features a cool black hairline design in a one-piece molded top casing, which reinforces notebook strength and rigidity. The 15.6" HD widescreen display uses LED backlight technology for low power consumption. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1366 x 768 native resolution, which is supported by integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000.
Windows 8 is the installed operating system. Windows 8 replaces the traditional Start menu with a redesigned Start screen. The Start screen features tiles that update in real-time, which provide faster access to news, weather forecasts, sports scores, social network updates and more. Windows 8 also focuses more on cloud storage as well as apps, which can be downloaded from the Windows Store. Windows 8 provides a unique user experience.
The system is powered by a dual-core Ivy Bridge 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U processor. It also has 6GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, a 750GB 5400rpm hard drive with a 24GB solid state drive cache, a SuperMulti DVD burner, a SD media card slot, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and an integrated webcam and microphone. There are also built-in Altec Lansing stereo speakers with ASUS SonicMaster Lite technology.

The only drawback is windows 8.
It is not very user friendly.
You have to go back and forth to get to your sites.

Comments about ASUS S56CA-DH51 15.6" Notebook Computer (Black):
I like it very much. I use it for my job - office docs, spreadsheets, database, internet, etc.
Its very thin, cool looking and they even managed to squeeze dvd rom inside. From cold start it is up very fast.
Only complain is that it comes with win8. I just don't like it.
Battery life could be longer, but as it is plugged in most of times, its ok.

Very snappy laptop. Screen is crisp. Feels very sturdy compared to many ultrabooks!

Comments about ASUS S56CA-DH51 15.6" Notebook Computer (Black):
I use this product for home entertainment and for work-related stuff (MS word, powerpoint, excel, etc)
The design is awesome, it's very powerful, it's very thin and light. Just the type of laptop I was looking for, and for an incredible price. So far, I can't find any negatives.

Comments about ASUS S56CA-DH51 15.6" Notebook Computer (Black):
I've been using this laptop for about a week. I use this laptop mainly for typing and photo editing. A 15.6 in screen shows much more than my little 12" tablet. The metal panel looks nice and seems durable. It is slightly thinner than my girlfriend's 13" Macbook pro. The battery life is OK unless you streaming movies or doing intense calculation works (like processing large RAW files or HD movies). The only thing I don't like is that the bottom parts are made of plastic and feels cheap. Also, it is a little noisy when the fans are running at full speed. I hope this laptop will last for a few years.
