The VivoBook S400CA-DH51T 14.1" Notebook Computer from ASUS features a traditional notebook computer design, but has a capacitive touchscreen for added convenience. You'll be able to use your keyboard, mouse and now your fingers as you can tap directly on tiles instead of clicking on them.
This ASUS VivoBook also features the Windows 8 (64-bit) operating system. With a redesigned Start screen and an emphasis on tiles that update in real-time as well as enhanced capacitive touchscreen support, Windows 8 provides a unique user experience.
The system is powered by a dual-core Ivy Bridge 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U processor. It also has 4GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 5400rpm hard drive coupled with a 24GB solid state drive, a Secure Digital media card reader, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and a front-facing HD webcam.

its a fast and great computer, but while im using Adobe Bridge (for photos) on it, for a presentation, this one lags a little...i dont know if its beacause i have a lot of RAW files or what, but i think is something about compatibility between adobe and Win8. Despite this i install a recent game (Bioshock Infinite), and i didnt believe when the game starts smooth but with all in low graphics settings.
the HDcam is real HD very good quality.

These laptops are a great value. They are very responsive and lightweight. They have a touchscreen for Windows 8 apps which is useful at times and also has a full size keyboard for when typing is more important. Highly recommend!

I received my vivobook a week ago and so far i like it a lot got a lot of great features and great design for the price. The laptop is a little on the heavy side for how small and thin it is but i like this because it does give it good solid feel and what i believe to quality build. Windows 8 on the other hand takes some getting use to but that expected with there re haul of the software. Overall very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this laptop to a friend. I also very pleased with my purchase through B&H photo not only the lowest price i found but also i got free shipping on this item whats not to like. A+++ would buy again. ;)

This product is a fantastic investment. As a super nerdy college bound high school senior, I'm glued to my laptop 24/7. There's never a time when I don't have a project or essay to work on. I use my Vivobook for research, writing, email, and more social networking than I care to admit- just like every high school or college student out there. My father purchased it for me about a month ago and I have had absolutely no issues with it. The touch screen is an addition that I was unsure about at first but have grown to love. It's great for switching between tabs, scrolling, and exiting out of pages when you don't feel like using the key-pad (first world problems, am I right?). The battery life is fantastic. This laptop can pull an all-nighter with me without needing to be plugged in. In addition, it's super light and easy to carry around. My previous laptop was approximately the age and weight of a T-Rex, so I appreciate the ease with which I can stick it in my purse and go. It boots up in a matter of 4 seconds, and is lightening-fast. No matter how long I use it, it never overheats. As far as this student is concerned, the Vivobook receives an A+++++++!

My first Asus purchase. Got this laptop for my wife. She is loving it till now. this is lightweight and sturdy machine.
i liked the scroll touchpad although sometimes it gives problem when you put the machine to sleep. the scrolling feature for the touchpad will not work and then you have to restart the machine. I would like to know whta is the problem and sort it out.
It has OK battery life. The Keyboard is big and good.
I was trying to find the bluetooth in the machine as Asus website says it has. But am not able to find it yet. Will have to call Asus and sort it out. I bought the laptop because it had bluetooth but now I cannot find it.
Hope Asus will help me with this.
