I bought this for my 13-year-old son for school to do his classwork on and whatnot. It's great that it's a "locked down" OS, so he can't install random programs he finds on the Internet. But with Office 2013, and the various online tools (Google Drive, etc) he's covered for getting stuff done.I was quite skeptical of Windows 8 RT, given the reports of a lack of useful apps. But, with the included Office 2013 and lot of other great apps I'm not sure what they mean by that. The hardware is very slick - the tablet is thin and very light and I love that it has an SD card slot, though I don't think he will ever use it. There is very little flex in either the tablet or the keyboard dock. I'm pressed with how tough it seems. Time will tell if it withstands back and forth to school every day.The screen is very bright and works well indoors and out, but I found the included Windows camera app quite limiting. The one provided by ASUS was much better and he has some fun with the filters.Speakers are so-so, but about as good as other tablets. Headphones are a far better option. With the included keyboard dock it's basically a netbook, but with a touchscreen and 12-hours of battery. He charges his iPhone from the USB port too. The slot for the tablet is very stiff and hard to move when the tablet isn't inserted (like when you first get it out of the box). I was afraid I was going to break it I had to put so much pressure on it to move. But, this is great for when the tablet is attached as it's not wobbly and stays just where you put it. It's not bad to type on as the dock seems heavy enough to not have it flop over but I wish it was a little easier to open when it is closed. As it is you have to get a pretty good grip on it before it opens as the gap between the tablet and keyboard dock isn't very large. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. He didn't want an iPad (I have no idea why) and instead wanted something that would play Flash games. So, this was the best thing I could find. With the "free" keyboard dock included it was just too good of a deal to pass up. He's happy, so I'm happy.

I use my tablet as a substitute to my larger laptop. I have mixed feelings about Win8. Not happy that Flash Player doesn't work and have considered sending it back because of that. The tiles take some getting used to and the text in the Win8 suite is WAY too small! the size of the VivoTab is great. Had the Transformer which was great on battery life and had no problem loading any websites/videos. Battery life on Vivo not nearly as good even attached to keyboard dock. Overall, I would say wait a little while before taking the leap to purchase.

Comments about ASUS VivoTab TF600 10.1" Tablet with Windows RT:

Asus has always built quality products and this tablet is a good example. It seems faster than my wifes tf300t. Win RT takes some getting used to but overall a very polished OS for a tablet.
I will give it 5 starts when Windows app store has Firefox and Opera browsers.

My wife has an Ipad and I didn't want to gwt the same thing. I decided to get the Asus Vivo Tab. I have had Asus motherboards for years and they have always performed well and lasted a long time. The tablet comes with windows 8 rt and MS office. It is lightweight and fast. It takes great pictures and you can see all your tasks with out closing a window. It switches between tasks very easily. I like it better that the Ipab especially with the detachable keyboard!

Comments about ASUS VivoTab TF600 10.1" Tablet with Windows RT:

Product is good quality and easy to use once you get used to the Windows RT. When combined with the keyboard it is a bit heavy and feels like a netbook. Responsiveness is ok but not great, and you get the rolling marvels (the new hourglass) often while opening apps. As for the apps - selection is very (very very) limited. No offline navigation app, no good gmail app, no status bar.Advantages - has Office 2013.

Comments about ASUS VivoTab TF600 10.1" Tablet with Windows RT:

It's so pretty! It's longer than I wanted. I was expecting a shorter length and a wider width, but I've become accustomed to it. It makes sense now with the snap screen.
I mainly use it for class notes, and am still looking for useful apps. The first day I used it, it was ridiculously slow and kept on crashing. My wifi reception was really blotchy. But once I updated windows, all my problems seemed to go away. Now it catches wifi much better than my phone. Some apps still take a while to load but oh my goodness everything else is so pretty! The screen brightness and resolution are absolutely noteworthy.

I really like the snap function but I wish I could find a way to snap screen half-half instead of 1/3 and 2/3. I'm really pleased with the product. I mean, it could go faster but I bought it knowing it was RT. But I'm crossing my fingers updates in the future will streamline everything more. I much prefer the Windows programs over the ones that came with ASUS. I want more apps to be available on the store, but right now they aren't necessary. They're just going to distract me from school. Also, sometimes the home/start button is unresponsive but it's probably me with my 10 programs running. I need to stop my bad computer habits. I've only used it for about 4 days.

By the way, I LOVE the windows and all the Office capabilities. I missed it so much on my other android devices. This is a very solid and sturdy device. I definitely think it's cooler than an ipad. I feel cooler than ipad users in class too, but that may be just be me being a snob.

Comments about ASUS VivoTab TF600 10.1" Tablet with Windows RT:

We bought this product because we wanted a Windows RT tablet and it was a better deal that the Microsoft tablet, especially with the free keypad attachment. The unit is first class, but the operating system is a little slower than I saw with IPads and Android tablets. There is a boot-up period and sign-in requirement that slows one down a bit. Of course, we knew that Windows RT apps were limited. We have a Windows 8 PC and cell phone, so we wanted the tablet to be better able to talk to each other. Still learning how to do that.

Good light weight tablet. Windows RT needs more time to get the bugs worked out and more apps... But it's worth the sacrifice to have MS Office.

Comments about ASUS VivoTab TF600 10.1" Tablet with Windows RT:

I found this to be a neither a good tablet nor a good pc. Limited apps and the conversion from Office 2003 to Windows Live unsatisfactory. Also, the Office included does not include Outlook. I liked the hardware, but Window 8 RT was too limiting.
