Comments about Sony XLR-K1M Adapter and Microphone Kit:
I use the adaptor with my Sony VG-30 video camera and it does a flawless job with XLR inputs and having control over the audio in a semi-pro camera. I use it with lav mics and hand-held mics. I haven't really used the shotgun that comes with it, but I'm sure it performs as advertised. Obviously a lot of money for an adaptor, but again, great performance.

Comments about Sony XLR-K1M Adapter and Microphone Kit:
I brought the Sony A99 and needed the XLR inputs as I film a lot of corporate interviews and productions -the kit is great and works very well with both my radio mics and shotguns fed into both channels.its really easy to set up and monitor with the headphones, although I haven't found method of changing the headphones volume, maybe Sony will do something about this in a firmware upgrade ?make sure you get some kind of bracket for attaching onto the camera - as you can see from the photos mine was just hanging from the cables, not good- So overall 9/10 shame its such an expensive piece of kit for what it ischeers bob
