The black Pro-Light FlyBy-77 Photo Rolling Case from KATA is a large case that can hold a full spectrum of equipment. With its capacity of 8-10 lenses up to a 600mm f/4 and a flash, you'll still have enough room for accessories and a tripod. For the videographer, the case can also be used to hold your HDV camcorder, matte box and accessories. Camcorders such as the Sony F3, Panasonic AF100 or even larger models with the external mic and viewfinder dismantled are easily stored. The case also accommodates your 17" laptop in its own Elasto-Guard sleeve that can be accessed without having to open the entire case. When not in use, the sleeve folds flat to keep it out of the way.

The interior is fully customizable using KATA's yellow Aeriform dividers. The yellow dividers also make it easier to locate specific gear when you're working in lower light scenarios. These dividers allow you to place each lens its own custom nest for safekeeping. A front zippered accessory pocket holds even more accessories.

The case comes with dual wheels and a retractable tow handle for ease of transport up ramps, through crowded parking lots and airports. The top and bottom also have convenient carry handles for rapid lifting when storing or retrieving the FlyBy. KATA also uses their Spine Guard MK II foam that adds structural integrity to the case.

Access to all compartments is via zippers. The case unzips on three sides giving you total access to the contents. Attach a tripod to the front of the bag with two quick-connection straps on the top and bottom. Despite its capacity, this is a relatively low profile case for traveling, storage or organizational purposes. The FlyBy is backed by KATA's 5-year warranty that can be extended to a lifetime warranty by registering the case with KATA.

For unique combination of lightweight and protective material, Kata developed the Aeriform Foam. Comments about Kata Pro-Light FlyBy-77 Photo Rolling Case (Black):

I use this bag for everyday equipment transportation. I can fit 5 SLR bodies, and 6 lens. You can move the foam parts to fit whatever you need in there. Very durable. It's my 2nd time purchasing this bag, since I wore the first one out after several years!

Comments about Kata Pro-Light FlyBy-77 Photo Rolling Case (Black):

There is a ton of space in this bag and for the the few weeks I've had it it has done its job well. Used indoor/outdoor and its worked fine. I don't have the most lenses, but it fits my 6 lenses, canon body, zoom H4n, video light, and all other accessories like UV fiters and batteries. Haven't flown with it yet but I don't see it being a problem.

Comments about Kata Pro-Light FlyBy-77 Photo Rolling Case (Black):

Great bag, well made. Unfortunately i wanted to stow my 70-200 f/2.8 vertically and, even though it was a close fit, I was just not comfortable with the clearance. Once I put in my 600mm and 300mm, the only place to put the 70-200mm was where the handle rails were located. Just too much equipment I guess. I thought it would give me more room than my current bag, but it did not. I returned it.

Great construction! Carrying 4-5 lenses, 2 bodies, accessories and my computer gear. Weighed in at 42 lbs full of gear. Beware airlines have carry-on weight limits and some will weigh the bag.

Comments about Kata Pro-Light FlyBy-77 Photo Rolling Case (Black):

Firstly, Kata makes a very nice product... for the most part. Although the construction of the Pro-Light 77 bag is nice, I found the interior velcro to be very cheap. It would not stay in place and became unattached very easily. It's strange considering the smaller Kata bags that I own had much better velcro adhesion. In addition, $300 for a camera bag? Way too expensive for what a simple bag does... or actually... doesn't do. I'm only keeping it as it's pretty much the only bag I could find that was large enough to hold a large video camera. Definitely not worth the money.

Comments about Kata Pro-Light FlyBy-77 Photo Rolling Case (Black):

Received the Kata Pro-Light FLyBy-77 and I have to say I am in love. The case is very sleek and plain which I love because I have never been a fan of advertising what exactly is in my bag for security reasons. I am able to fit 2 bodies with grips, All of my lenses (5) including 70-200 verticaly, 2 speedlights, an Elichrom Quadra Ranger strobe pack with battery attached, extra battery,3 grids, 7" reflector, and strobe head, and cables, and extra misc. The pocket on the outside and inside is not the greatest for small things but better suited for laptops, cables, grids etc because the pockets run the entire length of the outer flap/top of the case which will cause you to reach your arm way down insde to fish out small items. The wheels roll nicely and feel rugged and smoth even with max weight inside. The construction seems very good and durable. The only complaint is the zipper design. They cant be pulled like a normal zipper but must be gripped more from the center due to their design. When the two zippers meet a lock can be inserted between the two. Its not the end of the world, it just seems that the design looked good on paper, but was never actualy tested. Overall I am very pleased with this case and would highly recomend it. Now I have erverything in one place, nice and safe.

Comments about Kata Pro-Light FlyBy-77 Photo Rolling Case (Black):

This suitcase sure beats lugging all my equipment in a cardboard box to my wedding shoots. I use to leave half of my stuff in the car most of the time leaving it to get jacked. Enough is enough. There is loads of space to hold everything you can imagine. I put in two bodies, three flash units, 5 lens (including a 70-200 VRII standing upright, and 3 pocket wizards. There is still a couple compartments to put more stuff like flash modifiers and cleaning supplies, charger, batteries, you name it! The yellow material inside makes it easy to customize the dividers and velcro the way you want it. It has a very large laptop compartment inside of the suitcase as well. The outside compartment is good too which has a small pocket to fit stuff like keys or snacks, and an extra deeper compartment which I use to put a cable lock. I even attached two light stands to the front of the suit case with the two tripod straps included. Obviously this required some creativity with another strap I had from some other gear, but there is enough loops in the front to customize as you please. The only downside to this suitcase is the zippers. They arent as smooth operating as I would like, sometimes it feels like it would catch, or you need to bend the suitcase material in a way just to pull the zippers around, especially in the corners. Sometimes this can get in the way if you need to open and close your suitcase multiple times during your shoot. That knocks off 1 star. I hope the zipper will never break on me, but I believe in Katas warranty. The zippers do accomodate a standard luggage lock too, so thats a bonus to lock your gear.

This bag came recommended to me, and it has not disappointed. There seems to be so much space inside the bag, even though on the outside it looks very small. It's built with great quality materials with sturdy wheels- and I LOVE the storage straps for the tripod. You can store a laptop and an iPad easily, as well as TONS of lenses and other accessories. So far my only complaint is with the zippers - which don't slide as smoothly as I'd hope. I might break out the WD-40 and see if that helps. Regardless, this bag allows me to take all my lenses and accessories I need to shoot an event easily and conveniently.
