The BD-A1020 Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi from Yamaha is a versatile workhorse that will take on every kind of physical media you can throw at it: 3D, Blu-ray, DVD, DVD-Audio, SACD, standard CDs, and even USB storage devices. Plus, thanks to built-in Wi-Fi you can stream movies, shows and videos from Netflix and YouTube.
Yamaha's BD-A1020 features a high-quality 192kHz/32-bit digital-to-analog converter for use with high-resolution discs and lossless FLAC music files from a thumb drive. It is also designed to take advantage of audio formats like Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio. In addition to the HDMI output which passes multi-channel audio, there are digital audio outputs for use with an older receiver that is not HDMI-compatible.
Lastly, if you own a smartphone or tablet, download Yamaha's remote app for your iPhone, iPad or Android device, and your phone or tablet can control the BD-A1020 through an intuitive interface.

Comments about Yamaha BD-A1020 Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi:
I bought this unit to replace an older machine that did not feature Internet access. Sadly, it offers a limited number of direct access features, although Netflix is one of them (there is a dedicated button on the remote), which I like. Sadly, this machine seems to become confused when leaving Netflix to return to regular use, often requiring a power-off reboot. As a player, however, it performs very well, and it has a wide range of selections that allow one to set it up for one's system. It also has quite a bit of metal in it, which makes it sturdier and more attractive than most of its rivals.
