The PowerLite Home Cinema 3020e 3D 1080p 3LCD Projector from Epson offers 2,300 lumens, full HD 1080p performance and a remarkable contrast ratio of up to 40,000:1. It's never been easier to entertain family and friends with a true-to-life 3D cinematic experience. This full-featured home theater projector also offers great 2D performance with split screen capability (not available in 3D mode).
The 3020e lets you enjoy theater-quality 3D images in the relaxing environment of your own home. Immerse yourself in eye-popping 1080p 3D adventures with one of the two pairs of active shutter 3D glasses Epson includes with the projector.
Epson has concentrated not only on color fidelity in the design of the 3020e but gives equal importance to color brightness, maintaining that lumens alone are not an accurate measurement of the rendered programming. If the color brightness is lower than white brightness, images may be dark, dull and lose detail. The company's proprietary 3LCD light engine technology is more than up to the task of delivering brilliant images.
Other convenience features include 2D-to-3D conversion to breathe new life into your bi-dimensional content, captivating sound via the two built-in 10W stereo speakers for amazing audio, and a full-featured remote control.
The PowerLite 3020e has another surprise in store - wireless HDMI via its built-in receiver and the included WirelessHD Transmitter with its AC adapter. Forget about the tedium of running cables and drilling holes. With wireless HDMI you can stream full HD content from all of your compatible devices.

Comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 3020e 3D 1080p 3LCD Projector:
I was very fortunate to have tried both the Epson 3020 and the Mitsubishi HC7800D. Returned my first Mits since it had a pixel defect and decided to try the Epson because of its rave reviews.
The Epson's picture was noticeably grainy compared to the Mitsubishi. I even used the recommended calibration settings for the Epson, and it was nothing compared to the Mits' out-of-the-box settings. Light output for the Epson, however, is significantly brighter.
There are some negative reviews out there about the 7800's black levels. If that stuff doesn't bother you, trust me, you probably won't even notice. It's not that bad, and it doesn't bother me one bit.
With 3D, forget it. The 7800 is far more realistic and far superior over the 3020. The 3020's glasses are better aesthetically and use RF, but I'll take the ugly 7800 glasses anytime because the 3D is that much better.
The Epson had a noticeable high pitched whirring noise that may be coming from the fan or color wheel. It was quite annoying.
So I reordered the 7800 and returned the 3020. Boy, did I do the right thing!
Bottom line... the Mits is a step higher than the Epson for both 2D and 3D picture quality. And ironically it's cheaper too. (Even after paying for the restocking fee since I used the projector for over 2 hours.) I had no intention of returning the Epson, but after using it for several hours I found myself missing that wow factor that I had experienced with the Mits. As for the rave reviews given by others, I would probably be satisfied too if I hadn't tried the Mitsubishi.

Comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 3020e 3D 1080p 3LCD Projector:
Advantages:Wireless HDMI erased problems of long runs of high-[$], unsightly HDMI cables, from my projector at 13-feet to screen.Uses LED chip technology: a real plus for quality (versus older HDLP technology) that results in high lumens, contrast ratio and resolution.Very easy "plug n' play" startup, made even easier by wireless HDMI, and a lens setup that allows perfect picture fit on a 100-inch screen with 12-15-foot projector distance. Lens allows quick & easy zoom & focus. Remains in focus. Stable. Quiet.Minus: Parallex correction may not be expansive enough for some installations that vary projector angles massively from screen's center. For a medium-priced unit, I found no equals. I strongly recommend it. Most will not be disappointed. I'm sharply critical about video performance and I was NOT disappointed.

Comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 3020e 3D 1080p 3LCD Projector:
Amazing Quality for the Price.
It's like looking at an led TV.
However don't Buy this Model because the wireless is not worth it as i don't see it useful if you are going to be using it for home theater buy 3020.

Comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 3020e 3D 1080p 3LCD Projector:
We weren't looking for a top of the line home theater projector. We were looking for a flexible, high quality family room projector.
The picture lives up to the various reviews we researched prior to purchase.
It is 3d capable, providing a theater-like experience that televisions fail to emulate.
The built-in speakers provide portability.
---
The placement was tricky: 1. no lens shift, and 2. the wireless HDMI transmitter requires direct line of site to the front of the projector.
