The Canon PIXMA PRO-10 Wireless Professional Inkjet Photo Printer features a 4800 x 2400 dpi resolution and Canon's FINE technology with an ink drop as small as 4.0 pl. The printer's 10-cartridge ink system provides a wide color range and includes 3 black inks for high-quality black-and-white photos. The Pro-10 can output borderless prints up to 13 x 19" and is compatible with a wide range of media, including glossy, luster, and matte photo paper as well as Museum Etching and other fine art papers. Additionally, you can print directly on CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs and create your own customizable discs and jackets. The included Print Studio Pro plug in software provides an easy way to achieve optimal results when printing directly from Adobe Photoshop CS and Elements, as well as from Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

The PIXMA Pro-10 features multiple connectivity options so you can easily print from your different devices. In addition to a standard USB connection, you can connect to the printer over a wired or wireless Ethernet network. Additionally, you can use the front-facing USB port to print directly from a compatible digital camera with PictBridge compatibility.

Print Speeds

Print an 8.0x10" image in approximately 3 minutes 35 seconds and an 11x14" image in approximately 5 minutes 20 seconds

Canon FINE Technology

Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) features a patented print head that enables printing with microscopic droplets and high resolution up to 4800 x 2400 dpi

True Monochrome Prints

The 3 monochrome inks which are part of the 10-ink LUCIA system consist of Photo Black, Matte Black, and Gray. These inks deliver enhanced, deep black density to raise your level of professional print quality when creating the dramatic expression of grayscale photography. The premium LUCIA monochrome inks work together with the Chroma Optimizer to reduce the effect of bronzing. As a result, your printed photos will have expanded dynamic range, especially in the darker or shadow areas of the image

Uniform Ink Height

The Chroma Optimizer brings uniform ink height over the printed image and regulates surface reflection. This maintains the natural color and integrity of your printed photos

Optimum Analysis & Mixture Of Color

The Optimum Image Generating (OIG) System utilizes two major technologies that were first introduced in the PIXMA PRO-1. The first is a sophisticated mixing balance of inks determined from numerous ink combinations and advanced analysis. During this analysis, the OIG System carefully calculates the best results for each print mode and paper type used while looking at various image factors including color reproduction, tonal gradations, black density, low graininess, glossiness, anti-bronzing and anti-metamerism. These critical ink balancing principles are derived from Canon's expertise in imaging technology, as well as the familiar colors of life that people see and remember on a daily basis. The second is the balancing of color reproduction, tonal gradations, and uniform glossiness. The genius and power of the OIG System is truly showcased when your image is printed, exhibited, and is seen exactly as you envisioned it

Pro Printing

The powerful Print Studio Pro plug-in software provides professional photographers effective printing solutions and can directly hand-over image data. Print Studio Pro is compatible with Digital Photo Professional (ver. 2.1 or later), Adobe Photoshop CS, Photoshop Elements, and Photoshop Lightroom

Built-In CD & DVD Printing

Conveniently print onto your printable CD, DVD or Blu-ray Discs and jackets

Print Your Vision Up To 13x19"

Print professional quality photos on various media up to 13x19"

Versatile Paper Handling

1st, I've only printed 1 picture; of course a 13x19. The day I rec'd it, I was dog tired following a 12 hr shift, I did some chores; then, forced myself to set it up(I promised a wedding/part time pro photograher that works with me at Intel Corp that I'd bring in a print for him to critique). Unpacking and assembling: 30 min. Uploading the disk, print alighnment and connecting wirelessly: 20 min tops. With nothing more than the initial print alignment I stuck a 13x19 Canon Luster paper in, and selected a picture from this summers Lake Tahoe trip; it did take several minutes navigating the menus to make proper selections prior to print. The 13x19 took about 3-4 min; well worth the wait, the result was unbelievable. I don't get excited easily; around the world aftrer a career in the service, Grand Canyon is a few hours away, and I routinely visit all the parks in the SW as well as Yosemite; this picture had me giddy thinking of all the great pictures I could now print at home. My "pro advisor" was really impressed with the print; he did point out an area where the contrast could have been slightly better; again, this picture was uncorrected from the get go, and no calibrations (other than alignment) were performed. Most all the +50 that saw the picture could not believe this high quality could be achieved at home; one person basically called me out as being untruthful where the picture came from. Several people asked if the pic was for sale; 2 of those had lived at Lake Tahoe years back; and want a copy; willing to pay. I now have "orders" from 5 people at work for prints from pictures of mine they have seen on-line (no money being made, just doing it at cost for the friends). I did have a great camera for the picture, the Cn 6D, with L lens. ONE NEG note: I was careless in handling the print off the printer, and it fell to the carpet; on close examination, I noticed a couple fine, 1 inch scratches on the bottom right of the picture. I don't know if was caused by the carpet, the printer, or on the paper from the start. My "pro advisor" said it appeared to him to be a paper defect (no smearing or gouging of the ink). I'll look into this later; if it is a printer problem, probably a return for repair/exchange; it prints too good to believe this would be a common/acceptable issue........I'm attaching the pic I used as the 1st print; what you see is much less compared to the print.

I am usually one that writes positive reviews about products that I find useful for my photography. This is not one of those times.I've tried everything I can think of to help make this printer work, and each time I'm met with failure! First, forget about hooking it up wirelessly. If you're like me then you're not printing little 4x6 photos with this printer. Be forewarned, that if your printer and computer lose connection or the printer just simply feels like timing out, you get 1/4 or 1/2 or maybe 3/4 completed prints. Really stinks when you're using paper that costs $2 each.Second, the blacks flat out aren't there. Can't describe that much more. The list goes on, but you get the idea. I'm not a newbie to technology, not new to photography and photography software (use PS CC and LR). I would never make this purchase again.

This is a big printer, and I was intimidated when I took it out of the box. Nevertheless, within 1 hour, I produced a fantastic print on a 13 x 19 sheet. Colors were true without even calibrating my iMac monitor. It's speedy and smooth. This replaces my again Epson 1800, and is a true step up in speed and quality. I have not found any deficiencies.

Unit self starts and aligns itself, all you do is feed it 2 sheets of paper.

Did not havve time to resolve issue with old computer and PSE compatibility so I just saved a .jpg and printed from Picture and Fax viewer. Print matched monitor very closely. I'm tempted to keep doing it the same way!

I used to be an Epson fan. I read about Canon Pixma 10 and talked with colleagues, and decided to go with Canon, and I am not dissapointed. It is a large and heavey unit. You will need two people to set it up on a table B&H should use stronger boxes to ship, the outer box had damage and was partialy open ( I got it directly from UPS). The padding bubbles worked. The inner box was perfect, and the printer was perfect.

Comments about Canon PIXMA PRO-10 Wireless Professional Inkjet Photo Printer:

I've only had the opportunity to do a dozen or so prints, both letter size and 13x19, and the color is drop-dead gorgeous. A little issue with getting it set up with WiFi, but after no more than ten minutes with Canon tech support, running perfectly.
Haven't tried black and white print yet, but another owner I've spoken to says they are just as great
              - As previously noted, this takes a lot of real estate, and when UPS delivered the box, the driver used a two-wheeler to get it up my double stoop. If you've got to move it far, take it out of the shipping crate, and the product box has handles….
              - I ordered a whole set of replacement inks with the initial order, figuring that I would run out of one or more pretty quickly and then be stuck with a nozzle that went dry. Still on original "set-up" tanks, but ….
-- Bottom line: Not cheap (deliberately chosen word) but great value!

Comments about Canon PIXMA PRO-10 Wireless Professional Inkjet Photo Printer:

Got this one 2 years ago. It is used solely for photography.
One thing is evident: this printer is too good to be used to simply print documents. For hat purpose, get something all in one and cheap.

Back to the topic: colors are crisp, they are "wysiwyg" so make sure your monitor is correctly calibrated. Ink costs about $15.00 per cartridge, not bad especially since they don't all need replacing at the same time. Black and white photographs are striking, with true blacks and various grey tones.
The software is good, allowing a bunch of different integrators (all adobes and most others). The results are indistinguishable from museum quality. I'll get the eventual replacement for sure.

                  This printer is great.

This printer came free with the purchase of a camera. Didn't get a chance to set it up yet, however, the printer is HUGE and takes up a lot of space. It does support huge prints [13" x 19"]. Most of the Canon printers I've own produced really nice prints. Ink seems to be really expensive as always and there is now an electronic chip that's embedded in the ink cartridges. The chip tells the printer if the cartridge is empty or full and from my searches there is only one company [in Germany] that sells refillable ink meant for this specific printer and a thing that resets the chip. From my experiences, you can use other kinds of refillable ink, but the color might not match up.

I use my printer primarily to print art and although this seems to be a reliable printer mechanically, the color and clarity of prints is not as good as my old HP Photosmart, which was about half the price, but is no longer available. This one however, seems not to use as much ink up and doesn't jam easily. I like that the paper goes straight through and not around a roller, which means I can use heavier paper in it. I will have to experiment and see if I can adjust my photos to print the way I want them to. But given that HP quit making photo printers and Epsons seem notorious for clogging up from everything everyone has told me, this seems to have been the best option. Also, this printer's footprint is very large. And that can be an issue if your space is limited. I wish there had been more choices, but next step up goes to floor models which I don't have room for.

Comments about Canon PIXMA PRO-10 Wireless Professional Inkjet Photo Printer:

Once this printer has been fired up, 10 cartridges get busy drying out. In other words, this printer becomes insanely expensive for only occasional use.

Some folks dislike pigment inks; it is generally easier to print and sell dye ink prints, because of dyes' larger color gamut. On the other hand, more colorants avoid giving up so much gamut as do 4-colorant printers, and viewers notice color fading less rapidly with pigments rather than dyes.

This printer is appropriate for users who are (or at least prepared to become) comfortable with ICC profiles and color management.

My first test Print blew me away.
When I took this picture It seemed a little soft when viewing it on camera and on my Monitor.
When it came out of My Pixma Pro 10 It was TAC sharp!!! It looked as if you could reach right into the photo. Color/contrast/exposure came out perfect.

We use the printer for printing pics, collages, portfolios etc. The best feature of the printer is ability to print on multiple paper sizes, print over wireless from any device, print on CD cover and all this after a very small easy setup process. Quality of print is also amazing.

Comments about Canon PIXMA PRO-10 Wireless Professional Inkjet Photo Printer:

I received the Canon Pixma Pro-10 printer as part of a Black Friday bundle deal with the purchase of a Canon 6D.

I had actually not done any research on printers before seeing the bundle deal, and was surprised to see this incredible printer offered at such a massive discount. Needless to say, I was thrilled at the prospect of being able to make beautiful prints with my new camera.

The Pro-10 prints up to 13x19 with super high image quality and amazing ink coverage. Colors are true and vibrant, accurate without monitor calibration, even.

The printer and drivers were easy to set up. I was able to make prints both using the wired USB connection and the wireless capability within about 20 minutes of setup. After installing the ink carriage, there is a rather long and noisy calibration period which you just have to wait through, including a shorter claibration when aligning the print heads. It's not that bad and once it's done the printer starts up quickly.

I was able to install the printer on both my Mac and PC without issue.

When printing large, full color images, the printer does seem rather slow. A 13x19 print may take 5+ minutes, depending on the settings chosen. While this seems like a long time if you are used to fast and cheap all-in-one printers, but the Pixma Pro-10 is not that kind of printer. It is built for quality and consistency. Once you see how good your RAW photos look printed, you won't care how long it takes. The prints are gorgeous.

I am also an artist and can now make prints of my art with this. In addition to the Canon Luster photo paper, I have also put Hahnemuhle 210gsm watercolor paper through it without any issues, and the prints were beautiful.

The Pro-10 does have a very large footprint, so a typical desk will be swallowed up by it. I had to put it on a separate cart next to my desk.

This was not an item I had planned on purchasing, but receiving it as part of a Black Friday bundle deal was a wonderful treat. Printing my work is now one of my new favorite parts of the workflow.

Seeing your art or photography as a giant print is incredibly gratifying and will make you want to fill up your walls with beautiful images. This is not something I would have purchased otherwise, but I'm so glad to have it now.

Comments about Canon PIXMA PRO-10 Wireless Professional Inkjet Photo Printer:

Canon's recent rebates made much easier for me to replace my Pixma Pro-100 (dye-based with 8 ink cartridges) with the Pro-10 (pigment-based with 10 ink cartridges).I was already happy with Canon's icc profiles, papers and printer/ink combination, so the main reason for the upgrade was that I needed higher quality b&w printing and better results with non glossy media.I got both with the Pro-10 and I'm giving it 5 stars because it delivers everything I expected. What is more, at this price level there was no competition.

I've had an Epson R1800 for almost 7 years and finally decided to replace it with the Pixma Pro-10. I'm very glad I did and in fact wish I'd done it sooner. The prints are effortless and I'm able to print with my old Epson paper to use it up. Very happy with this product.

As for the quality of printing that this machine produces, it is hard for me to imagine anything better. I've only run about 7 test prints so far of various images. The resolution exceeds my expectations, which is pretty rare. The only downside I've run into so far is that the images are darker than the monitor. After reading everything I can get my hands on on the web, this is probably the most complaint I've seen. I am convinced it has nothing to do with the printer itself, and almost certainly has to do with operator error. I'm new at the whole printing thing, but this printer is the real deal. I still have not been able to get the wifi setup, which may have to do with my router, and is again not something that has to do with the printer. Buy this machine: you will not be disappointed.
