I have twelve(12) IP Cameras as part of my home security system. They are ALL Panasonics which I have found easy to setup and access. I use an Android app. called "IP Cam Viewer" to access them when remotely. Each camera has a user ID & password for security.

Comments about Panasonic BLVT164WP Pan-Tilt Network HD Camera (Wireless):

I have 2 Panasonic network cameras already, both are the BL-c131a. I bought this one after speaking to Panasonic to make sure that it would work with the viewnetcam. They told me that this was the newest model and that it work alongside the other cameras. After two days of trying to setup we are having to use this one on a separate web address of its own. I am unable to open the others at the same time so I need to close this camera viewing before opening the other two. Plus this camera doesnt work with Apple products. I cannot view on my IPhone or IPad. I do however recommend B&H Photo. The delivery was very quick with the best price around. I would only recommend to a friend if they did not have any older versions of this camera and they were not going to be utilizing Apple products along with this device.

Comments about Panasonic BLVT164WP Pan-Tilt Network HD Camera (Wireless):

I've owned a couple of the predecessor (BL-C230a) and have generally been happy with them so I purchased 2 of these to extend my coverage area. These provide noticeably better picture quality though you won't be putting together a photo album. The existing 230's are tucked nicely into the web interface for the new BL-VT164W so I can watch all 4 at once. The configuration is a bit more friendly than the 230's. The external viewing setup is generally the greatest challenge. The cameras would lose their wireless connection prior to upgrading to the latest firmware but the upgrade is a simple task and settings are retained. FTP image delivery works great. Capturing photos on a scheduled interval (available with the 230) has been removed in this model but otherwise, the feature set is nice for my needs. The greatest benefit is still that you can simply plug the power in anywhere in the house and point it where you need it.
