The Hunter Pro 65 DSLR Holster Bag from Ruggard is slightly larger than the Pro 55 and holds your camera face down, with lens attached in shooting position. When you're ready to shoot, simply remove your camera, get the shot and replace your DSLR in the bag. The zippered top of the bag opens away from your body for fast access to your gear. This also serves as a security feature since no one but you will be able to see inside the bag. The bag contains three removable dividers that can be configured to accommodate the gear you are carrying. The bag has a water-repellent exterior and smooth polyester lining that helps prevent scratches to the finish of your camera/lens combo.

For storage, there is a front zippered organizer panel with additional mesh pocket, exterior mesh side pocket and two side loops that accept optional pouches. On the inside of the bag's quick-release flap, there are two touch fastened memory card pockets. The bag is carried by its adjustable, removable padded shoulder strap, top carry handle or belt loop that will leave you hands free. The zippers have yellow pull tabs that make the bag easy to use while you're wearing gloves. A non-removable, rapid deploy rain cover is stored in a bottom zippered pocket. The bag also contains metal D-rings for attaching an optional chest harness.

Comments about Ruggard Hunter Pro 65 DSLR Holster Bag:

very secure when just using the belt loop, and with the shoulder strap also, this worked very well for hiking and climbing. Easily accommodates my fairly large 7" lens. Also, it has the subdividers that I used to carry the weight on the body of the camera. Overall great case, that does exactly what I wanted.

Exactly as advertised. Had problems getting a bag that would handle a larger lens , and this one is perfect. Thanks to the service people for their knowledge and patience.

Comments about Ruggard Hunter Pro 65 DSLR Holster Bag:

I have a Nikon D800 with AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm ED lens. This is the only DSLR "holster" bag I've tested that will fit the camera and attached lens with adequate protection. I use a similar LowePro for my D300, but LowePro does not make a bag big enough to carry the D800 with 24-70mm lens attached. I prefer to use the "holster" type bag when traveling even though it is too heavy to be attached to your belt. This bag allows me to grab my camera with attached lens hood and Vello hand grip and shoot quickly. The internal velcro pads on either side of the lens extends deep enough into the bag to prevent the lens hood from hooking on them.

The hidden rain cover is a great idea, but the material is not rain proof and will only protect the bag for a short period of time from light rain in my opinion. The shoulder strap also has to be removed to cover the top of the bag which is not a useful design. I will be purchasing a separate siliconized rain cover.

The front zippered pouch is big enough to carry a couple of filters and extra battery. The side mesh pocket will be great to carry a real rain cover!

Sturdy shoulder strap and rugged metal clasps give me confidence when traveling.

Comments about Ruggard Hunter Pro 65 DSLR Holster Bag:

Good small bag to carry to travel. Zipper pocket inside front pocket big enoug for a passport. The other two pocket inside could be deeper. Top cover only have two memory card pocket. It could has a large pocket like most Tamrac bags.
Hoever, it fit a D800 with 28-300 lens with should strap nicely.

Comments about Ruggard Hunter Pro 65 DSLR Holster Bag:

I'm using this bag to carry my Canon EOS 6D camera with the kit 24-105 mm f4.0L lens attached. The bag that came with the camera is huge, and I need something as lean as possible so I can just have this camera with me wherever I go (especially when I'm traveling with my one-year-old in tote). This is about as lean as possible. I can carry both batteries and my battery charger if I squish, plus some little things (cleaners, manual, etc). for travel. My camera feels very well protected in this bag. There's even a little pull-out rain cover I didn't know would be there--very comforting to have, since I live in a place where it rains with little notice sometimes.I'd definitely recommend this bag if you're looking for something to house a dslr camera with one lens. There's NOT room for two without potentially damaging something, so I wouldn't even try it.
